This number has called my cell three times.  They are calling a number that i only use for texting, and have given to very few people.  Kinda annoying

CALLERS may make you feel CREEPY!!!

Jan 30, 2009. They telephoned my number and EST. Answered but no one replied. Called back, spoke to a woman who identified herself as MARIANETTE, & wanted my name number when I requested removal from her call list. Asked for the company name, she gave me a supervisor who reported the following "Corporate" address:
VAN RUE CREDIT CORP.
1350 East Touayaue
Suite 300A
Desplaines, Ill. 60018.

Caller gave out no more information than that without asking me for more PERSONAL, identifying information that I did not disclose.

4 calls from this # (877 237 1836) in last day have not answered it. but wud like to get it stopped. maybe as a harassment or nuisance ...owe nothing to anyone.  getting  tired of these people

The message on my answering machine was that they were a debt collection agency.  Since I always pay my bills, I suspect that they call everyone in the country with the same name as some debtor in the hopes of finding the right one.

They've called me 3 years ago asking for Terrel Goodman. I am not him don't know him and have never met him. When I asked them please do not call me adn they have the wrong person they said " How Do I know you're not Terrell Goodman". Anyhow they took me off this list, but that time has expired but now I'm back on it. They call me all the time now, and its an automated system. They called me ealry this A.M and woke me up! When I call to speak to someone,  a machine puts me on hold forever.

This should BE ILLEAGAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like there is a scam going on against debt collectors.  I in the past had a law firm contact me for the remainder of the payment on a Chrysler car I never owned.  Someone is faking bad debts and selling them to collection agencies.

They have been calling leaving messages, apparently trying to track someone down. The name of the person they are trying to reach is unrecognizable. They also say that listening to the message if you are not the person mentioned is a crime. I told my mother to ignore it but she called back anyway, and they asked her a bunch of questions in regards to the person they are trying to locate. Its a scam, but I'm only curious as to what they are after. I see that quit a few people were asked their last four digits of their social security number so that may be it. There must be a way to track this number and prosecute these people for making false claims such as if you are listening to this message and you are not the person it is intended for you are committing a crime. These people are a disgrace.

They call 2-3times everyday. WHen I finally answer they ask for someone that is not at my number.I angrily ask to speak to their supervisor they so say they would not call again but they do. what can i do to stop this?

They hung up when I answered. this is the second call today from this number.

Got a call today from this number, when I asked who was calling because I did not recognize the number, she gave me her name as Mrs. (something I can’t spell), but would not give me the company name when I asked, without me identifying myself first.
Sorry but if I don’t know your phone number or name I won’t give out personal info.

Call me at least once a week. Asing questions about a debt in 1996. they used my maiden name and married name. i have been divorced since 1986. i did not realize this number would be listed in google.  CRAZY!!!!

Keep calling everyday for past 2 weeks

This number calls me day and night calls my cell, my work, and even my home when I told them to stop calling my house... They are very rude! They won't let you off the phone until you send them money over the phone! Never again will I ever pay a car from Chrysler again!!!

Called and asked for my husband by first name only. Said he wasn't home.  Left phone number 877-237-1836 and name of T. Reddick. I asked what it was regarding and she said she couldn't tell me or she would lose her job. I said if she called him from an 800 number and was going to be so cagey and not let him know what it was about and refuse to even give her full name he probably won't call back.

I was called by this number at which time they were asking for a jason Hubbard.  When my husband called back they said that they were trying to collect a debt and gave my husband a wrong SS#.  If they have the SS# then they can get the right number come on.

just got a call for the second time in 2 days. their number comes up but they never answer.i looked the number up and found this site. it comes up as not provided and this number. they need to talk or stop their calling

How do you find out what the statue of limitations is for a state and does it count if you made the debt in one state but you moved to another?

Another gem in the pile of debt collection trash. They collect on student loans and other accounts. The collectors are not the smartest in the business, nor can they be trusted to tell the truth. I would rate this in the sleaze category and use the cease communication letter on them.  Dan Calderon is the President, current VP of Ops is Mike Gerlach.

CAUTION: I recommend you NEVER disclose your bank account or credit card information to a debt collector, as you risk them emptying your account, or maxing out your credit card. If you feel they are reporting on your credit bureau files in error or need assistance in dealing with them, email  the details w/your location.  Assistance and referral to a consumer legal specialist may be available.
