- b from texas12-31-09 Received a call from 800-856-0420 stating they were looking for Tony Mazolla and that I was listed as a reference on his application. Told them I knew who he was but had not seen him in about 30 years and I never knew him well enough to be listed as a reference. I called back to get more info and was told that his application was dated in 1997 and they gave my current name & telephone number. Told them this was impossible b/c in 1997 that was not my last name at that time. I wanted more information from them but they refused due to privacy issues.

- Ladonna replies to AnnoyedI got the same call today with the same message. I read somewhere that it is a collection agency who collects for a hospital in Houston. Hello? I don't even live anywhere near Houston and have certainly never been in the hospital down there. It is unfortunate that I cannot find an e-mail address on them because I really do not want to talk to them.
- Received Bogus Call!FMA 877-263-8309 Received a call for a name that I know . .. returned call and they wanted a different name and said my number was given by him. He has never lived at this number and does not know it because he asked me the number. I asked for a supervisor - he was mad when I asked him what FMA stood for (he stated," it is nothing".) I asked for the where they were located and he said Houston. He was annoyed but I said I am just trying to establish they are a "real" company. He really did not like that. I called back later- after reading these review-and left a message for extension-7215, Ms. Morris-that I could not help as she stated this is the number left by the person they were seeking (who has never used this number.)

- jennifer replies to JudyJudy,
I began receiving their calls since April 2009 to 8pm 5-12-10 today. It seems like they are crooks, they try to get your personal information. Never give it to any person. They told me they call to collect debt in the amount of $29,200 on credit card. When they said that I knew immediately that they are crooks because I do not owe anyone and I always pay the balance of my credit card before the due date, never late. In addition, I have not used the credit card they said for over a year, I use other credit card and always pay the balance. I also called the bank of the credit card and they told me I have $0 balance on my credit card. They called me several times, I told them they are crooks and they woman said how do I know they are crooks. I did not say the reasons then they know their mistake. I want law enforcement to catch these crooks so that they can not harrass me and other people or try to obtain personal information for malicious purposes
I just send an email to the Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, his email address is: greg.abbott@oag.state.tx.us.
If lot of people send email to the Texas Attorney General, he may have his staff to investigate and shut them down. I search Yahoo! for FMA Alliance and it came up their web site. I wrote down the address to the Texas Attorney General. The FMA Alliance rep gave me their phone number: 877-839-7090.
Jennifer - Chuck replies to edWatch out for this company. I have a debt with BofA that they are now trying to collect on. They called a relative who is very sick and told them that they wanted to set up a three way call. They wanted the relatives cell phone number and wanted that relative to call me and then have a three way conversation between them, the relative and myself. I contacted them-without using my relative- informed them that I could not set up any payments at this time and that I would call them back next month. I also informed them that since I am speaking to them they have no reason to contact my relative due to their illness at which time the FMA representative said that she would be calling my relative again until I settled the account.
By the way they wanted some astronomical amount as a one time payment which I said I could not do. They asked what I could do and i said 10 dollars. She told me, "I'll take it. What is your checking account number" this is after a 20 minute conversation of I had to give them at least 1200.00 dollars and they would accept nothing less.
