- Jeff| 5 repliesSomeone called me from (877) 278-5595 stating that they are a mediation company. They refused to identify their address or employer ID. They said I owed them 600$ and that I can pay via credit card. They were rude, abusive, and unprofessional. They said that they could send me no information.

- Ann| 2 repliesI received a similar call today that went to my voice mail saying that "charges and a claim that have been filed against me" and that I had one opportunity to respond. The man was loud, aggressive, and attempted to intimidate me. I have no idea who he is or what he is after, but have no intention of responding to such threats. He identified himself as Chris Jackson and said he had "an order for service of process" at my home or office, and he demanded both addresses.

- KNOW YOUR RIGHTS| 1 replyThe must send you a letter within 5 days when you ask for a copy of the letter that they claim was sent to you. This is per Federal Debt Collection Act. . They can not make threats to you, they can not be rude they are. You can report them to your state Attorney General's office which can give you a phone to report these rude jerks. Also when you call as ask for Chris Jackson they say they don't know he is. So he must be one of their made up employees and they know what he is doing is against the law. Do they think that people are stupid as what this guy must live in every state as it seems he calls to inform everyone from different states teh he is going to serve you, so you know it's one of the jerks that work for Consolidate Mediation Firm. If you tell them not to call you at work they must stop calling you at work. You have the right to record the call just tell them that you are going to record teh call for your protection. Also tell them that you are reporting them on the internet for everyone to see it.

- KNOW YOUR RIGHTS replies to KNOW YOUR RIGHTSNeed to correct the name it, s called Fair Debt Collection Practice Act FDCPA. Look it up you need to have a pen & paper to write down the info section 805, 814 etc then start telling these jerks that you have looked up this law & maybe they need to look it up too you can sue them of a grand for each law they break. Inform them of that tell that "Chris Jackson" that one see what he says or those jerks for that fact.
- anonymous replies to JeffThis may be a scam. Legit collectors per section 809 of the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf *must* tell you at initial contact, or send you paperwork within 5 days of initial contact, the following:
1. $amount of debt,
2. name of the current creditor (which may differ from the original creditor who might have sold your debt),
3. a statement that that debt will be assumed to be valid unless you dispute in writing within 30 days,
4. a statement that that if you do dispute in writing within 30 days, the collector must mail you written verification of the debt,
5. a statement that if you ask the collector in writing within 30 days, the collector must send you the name and address of the original creditor if it's different from the current creditor.
If you don't get the 5 disclosures, orally or in writing (you do not have to ask for it, the FDCPA requires it), treat the collector like you would any SCAMMER. Scammers are using bought/hacked loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.

- DebbieI keep getting calls from this #. They have threatened to have me put in jail and my daughter put into foster care. They have also threatened to have their agent kick down my door and do whatever it takes to me so the agent can remove property from my house to pay the debt. Also everytime I ask them who the supposed debt is with the company name changes. It is always with different payday check advance companies. I did get a payday loan in 2008 but it was paid in full. They have also called my mom and told her if she didn't give them her credit card # to pay the debt they would arrest me have my daughter taken away. I know they can't legally do any of the things they are threatening so I'm not going to worry about them but I bet they scare lots of people into giving them money. These people should be in jail.

- J.W.I can't believe that I am hearing the same things that are happening to me and have been for some time. This place called consolidated mediation firm keeps hounding me at work and threating to have a processor serve me fraud papers. I am in a Chapter 13 and had placed this payday loan debt in my court case but they don't care. I fell for it and have been trying to make payments but I don't have it due to being sick and barely getting by. I offered them $25 today and they wouldn't accept it. She said I owed $200 and she would speed up the process and serve me. I had a screaming fight with her and several others recently and told them I was going after them with a civil suit. My lawyer even tried to settle it and said they wouldn't bother me anymore, but they still keep threatening me to the point it causes flare ups with my medical condition and causes me much upset at work. I am trying to find out names but they give fake names when they leave nasty messages and I need to know what state and what their address is so I can go after them. They have really messed with the wrong person because I am to the point that I do not care and I will go after them with everything I have. Please if someone can give me some information, I would deeply appreciate it. You can email me at: Lesliejeanne10@yahoo.com These people should not by law be able to treat people this way.

- Overit| 1 replyI get this call from some guy named Dean Reynolds. he's left several messages stating that a claim has been attached to my name, DL# and SSN. he has to deliver some papers to me. He has even called and said this to my coworkerwhich is cleary harassment. So today I decided to pick up the phone. he runs the same line on me and tells me that I need to call 8558164647 and that he will call me back in an hour. then he says "you have been served". WTF? So he calls back in an hour and asks if I called. I said no. He then says I need to call them because he need to deliver this paperwork to me today. So I said - Deliver the papers. he then asks for my supervisor. I asked why would he need to speak to my sup. Says he need to know the protocol for getting the papers to me. I told him to stop and the guards desk where they will identify him- picture ID and license plate and ask for me. says he will see me in an hour or so. It's been 3 hours and I'm still waiting. If he's not from the sheriff's office, he can keep those papers. I'm over it. He also calls from 7273244326 and 2155533135/2814070440

- Patrick| 6 repliesI've gotten the same rude phone calls from Consolidated Mediation Firm, and three different people said the company's name was "Consolidated", Management Group, Mediation Services, and/or Firm. Phone numbers are 888-773-1399, and 888-730-4849. A Mr. Davis said they can't send paperwork till after the debt is paid because once somebody "altered the paperwork and showed up to court with it". Also said "it's too much of a hassle", are you kidding? He also wouldn't give out an address of their offices, just said "we're in California". Thanks for narrowing that down for me.

- fdas| 1 replyConsolidated Mediation is a complete scam. They will not give you an address or provide you with proof that they can legally collect the debt they are contacting you about. All they will do is tell you they are going to sue you and press charges. They cannot press charges in a civil case. I asked for information on when they would serve me as my SS number was stolen and used to take out online payday loans. They would not give me the info and would not tell the city, state or county they were filing in. Something seemed wrong from the first time they contacted me but the more I looked into it the more questions I had that consolidated mediation could not / would not answer. I called the FBI and they said this is a common scam, they are either hacking databases to illegally collect debts or they sole my SS# and took out the loans and that is how they have the info they do.
FBI advised me to hang up on them and ignore their calls. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO.

Now there is a so called PROCESS SERVER calling saying I need to contact the firm before she reaches me to serve papers! They won't provide valid mailing address for the firm or validate the debt in writing! Does anyone know what I should do in this situation? It's getting really scary and creepy! Please advise!
