- Concerned person replies to Travis in OklahomaI as of today received a phone call out of the blue from a different # 281-288-1570 ( Mrs. Brown ) who told me the exact same thing. That I borrowed money from Triple Services a year and a half ago and haven't paid them. She was demanding I give them my debit card # to arrange payments or i was gonna be taken to court. Never borrowed from them. She couldn't even tell me the amount that was borrowed. She said that info wasn't provided to her. She even called my place of employment. Googled #'s for Triple Service payday loans. None of them even work.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers. - k replies to Concerned in the southI just got a call from someone named Britney miller that said she was a processor and she was going to serve me in a few days @ either my house or last known employer and that I needed to contact 855-952-4277 to find out the name of who was suing me. I called and the receptionist said mediation services and they were representing a company called triple services who I've never done a loan thru

- country| 3 repliesI was called four days ago and d c processing said i owed a bill from 2012 with triple services they wanted to set up payment so i did when it came thru on my statement i called the bank and the phone number they had was no good what do i do
- Caller: d c processing
- Call type: Debt collector
- Slim replies to country| 2 repliesA phone call, email or text message from a supposed debt collector is not legally sufficient evidence of debt.
The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:
* Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money. ["Written" means snailmailed ... not emailed or texted]
Source:
https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
Therefore, if that caller wants you to pay immediately, before you get the written validation notice via snailmail, or if the caller wants payment via green dot, Western Union, or other untraceable means, then the call is definitely not legitimate.
IF you wish to communicate with the supposed collector / creditor, visit the following page, for example "Action Letters" to snailmail:
http://www.consumerfinance.gov/blog/debtcollection/
If you KNOW you owe no money, or believe the call was from a fake debt collector, please take the time to read this:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0258-fake-debt-collectors - country replies to Slim| 1 replyThey told me if i didnt pay it then i would be served papers to go to court and i got a phone call today and that one said i owed 11456.98 and if i didnt pay it by 6:00 today then they were filing two fraud papers against me and it was going go be 2 fen that i would be locked for. This is all online payday loans.
- Tamianth replies to countryYou can not be arrested for owing a debt. The threats are in direct violations of the FDCPA laws. And they can't do anything regarding payday loans or checks written for them. In some states, the payday loans where and are illegal as well. You can check on that here, also gives some links for where to report & file complaints:

There is one complaint filed with the same MO. I did a address street view, there is a UPS store (no surprise there) and no sign of any DC office.
I would file complaints with the BBB since there is a page. They got no response from this so called DC. It has all the ear markings of extortion scam operation. Please read up on your rights, see my post and slims above for the links to report these bozo's.
One important thing to remember if these losers have any of your personal information such as your social security number, date of birth or drivers license make sure you register with identity protection notify the credit agencies as well as your banks!!

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. - CWG40Secretary of State of Nevada says this is an LLC

- Jen TI have received two phone calls today. One was from NLS (National Legal Services) 844-220-0282 ext 220, and one was from AFS (Apparently It doesn't stand for everything.) 855-990-8657. They both said I owe a payday loan from January 2013 to Triple Services LLC. They had all my info, which I am assuming they obtained from one of those crazy online payday loan applications as I did do that a couple of years ago. I did stop payment on them at the time and made alternate arrangements to pay the money back--which was done in approximately one year's time. I still keep getting phone calls for people trying to give me loans and from people trying to collect on loans. NLS will not give me an address but I have called to request it a couple times. They told me they would be filing the papers in court in my county tomorrow. AFS would only give me a PO Box. Said they would not give me a physical address and to use the PO Box 308 Fort Mill, SC 29715. They confirmed my email then refused to email me the supposed documents showing my debt but will be sending a locator to my place of employment tomorrow. It's scary but annoying. I do not have good credit and am always scrambling to try to get my bills paid. All I want is to repair my credit and be normal. This stuff really freaks me out. If it weren't for sites like this to help me identify the scams I dont know what I would do.

- Sal C replies to Patrick| 3 repliesPatrick, I got calls from these people claiming the same thing. But get this, they never called on my number, instead they somehow got a hold of my neighbor;s phone number and called her house giving her a hard time. So I called these jokers back and tried to get specific information from them. They could not (or would not) tell me the name of the firm I supposedly took a "pay-day" loan from. When I informed them that Pay-Day loans are illegal in the state of New Jersey, this individual named Frank Clark, told me that it was just recently that law was passed. Wrong answer Frank, that law has existed for many years. And like you guys, they would not give me their address. So I had my family attorney call them and they gave him the run around. The name they went under was Triple Services LLC at #575-347-1198. Don't deal with these people, have an attorney call them...
- CathyMy brother got a call to his home phone in Stafford, Va. I live in FL. They left a msg....ABOUT ME! The # was 877-264-8999. And left my acct.# as 1911744. They repeated more than 5x that Triple Services LLC had all my information, including an old email address I had 3yrs ago, and not since. However, they didn't have my *present ph.#. And the bank acct# was from 3yrs ago, not the one I have now, just the name of my bank. Lots of questions, very rude, trying to confuse me with all the questions and how quick he was with this call. I am 63yrs old and already have been scammed. Not going to happen this time! I suffered a head trauma 1 1/2yrs ago when I was hit by a car, and in a coma for two weeks. I am easily duped into making wrong decisions, bad decisions. Slowly I am getting better with life choices.....some days. Today just happens to be a good day.
I might not remember enough of the conversation to help anyone. The recording said the name of who I was calling, but I couldn't hear it well enough. Something-front, maybe Lakefront Possible Solutions. The guy who I spoke to when I called said his name was Mark. I Thank you for opening up and informing me, and others, that this is a scam., I just happened to Google Triple Services, and to my surprise I see this site regarding what I was happy to discover.- Caller: ?-Front Possible Solutions/Triple Services LLC
