I got a call today at our home phone number...which is not listed and we barely got set up with 2 weeks ago for my mother in law. This call came from a woman named Amanda Powers ext 1053. I don't know if my mother in law has ever done any payday loans or any type of loans for that matter. The woman claimed that the county had a claim against my mother in law... I don't know if this is a scam or not and they didn't give a company name. Rest assured if they DO end up calling back I will be sure to get as much information out of them as I can and take steps to protect not only myself but my mother in law as well.

They jsut called me and I dont understand these people.  I tried to get them to mail me information on this debt.  They said that I have a payday loan from off line and that I owe money but they cant send me any paperwork.  I was told that I will have to go to court if I dont pay and I dont really know what to do.  I checked my credit report and nothing is on there from this company.  they would not even give me an address.  !!!HELP!!!

This company called me back in July 2011 Mr Malik Jones a lawyer for the company Henderson Weistein Assocsiates and i reallythink this caompany is a fraud.  I wastold I had a payday loan from 2008 and that I closed my account so i dont have to pay it back and I said that it was not true.  They said it was so I" asked for information regarding the account to be sent to my address and Malik said he could not do that and sent me to John Mclain a supervisor.  Now if Malik is the Lawyer why do I need Johnathan Mclain.  They also said now I have a debt with a credit card company.  I asked for an address for payment and they refused and said it does not work that way.  They told me they where getting redy to sign affadavits on me in a county that I dont even live in.

1-877-279-5517 Diana Abrams from Henderson Weinstein Wyatt and Associates, calls me 5 x's a week for a $255.00 debt..She is very annoying. I will pay when I get it..Her urgent messages are funny. My case has been on her desk for the past 6 months and now for the last 2 months she being taking it to court ...Really ..But she's doing her job!! lol...

I am receiving a call several times a day from Mrs.Carson From Henderson,Weinstein,Wyatt&Associates and the2 y leave threatening messages saying i will be served court papers, and this is a scare tatic 2 get u 2 pay a settlement off. Mrs.Carson' s ext is 1056 she has a vet nasty attitude, and this company is not accredited by BBB. I have forwarded this company to my Attorney.

MrsCarson called me again 2 day saying the same exact thing i hv reported this company 2 BBB and www.debthelpers.com a company that will tell u this company is a fraud, don't pay them nothing they will keep the money you send them.

we were facebooked by my husbands ex-wife of over 24 yrs. and she was given a case number and the message stated the were filing charges. I am not disputing anything other than the fact if this truly is a bad debt a.) personal info was given over the voice mail , not even confirming the fact of whom they are talking to and threats of prosecution really??? my daughter went through this a few years back and after long research hours not only did she not owe this.. had she sent the money she would have been out it... they attach on to  possible bank info being sold by creditors and then low and behold if you do pay and want documentation you are no longer able to reach them.  Be very careful folks  also when we did call the number we were given an ext 1010 when reached it ,it stated we were seeking employment wth?

I just found out I paid this debt but to another collection agency. This is the second time i did this I have the paper work but I made the biggest mistake I paid by money gram The company I paid never sent the agency the money plus when I call the agency I owe they wrote the debt off. After they send it to a different collection I call that company and they had no record so I pad a fake company 355 dollar. I'll waiting on the call tomorrow and will inform them that I paid this and to send me proof that I owe and also show where I paid the debt so I  Know that send me to court for a debt that I paid will only cause them pain also. NO COLLECTION COMPANY CAN DO is going to send me to court for a bill I already paid. I got news for them tomorrow and I will repost my action then with names and contact numbers

If your debt is related to a PAYDAY loan, then in most of the US these loans are illegal and no state court will hear it. Relax, they can not take you to court for an on-line PAYDAY loan, they have no check that u wrote, no signature.....electronic signatures are meaningless. Don't feel bad, they make money hand over fist on those biweekly refinance charges, why do you think they take the risk of dealing with you.

they can find out your family memers are anything else by putting your name and birthdate in and fine you on goggle

I just reported them to the Attorney General's Office, and I'm going to file a lawsuit against them for harassment. They keep calling saying they are trying to serve me with court papers. I know they're full of it, so I ask them if they can come today, I confirm my address, and they say they are coming and never do. Surprise, surprise! They just call incessantly. Don't give them a penny. They won't even confirm in writing that this debt exists, which is against the law. They are a joke, DON'T PAY THEM ANYTHING. It's a big scam and they can't and won't legally do anything to you because they are not legit.

If I could get a decent lawyer to file a class action suit on behalf of this group of idiots who are making these calls  would gladly pursue it. Since changing my phone number to my current number I have received several calls including two within one hour involving two different names of individuals they were looking to contact. Every phone call ended up with an extremely rude ecounter with an individual who I presumed to be female and an adult. They proved me wrong on the former. The next call will be an airhorn for my greeting.

RUDE LADY CALLED THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WHERE I WORKED AFTER BEING TOLD NOT TO CALL. SHE CURSES, THREATENED DID NOT MAKE ANY ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THIS BEING A DEBT. WHEN I ASKED HER SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS RUNNING THIS CALL AND CURSED SOME MORE. I CALLED THE FTC AND WAS TOLD THIS IS NOT A COLLECTION AGENCY, BUT A SCAM TO GET MONEY. THEY WILL KEEP HARASSING YOU UNTIL YOU GET SO FRUSTATED YOU GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD OR ELECTRONIC CHECK. FTC SAID TO CEASE CONTACT, WHICH IS FINE WITH ME, THEY ARE THE ONES MAKING ALL THE CALLS. I WAS TOLD A CEASE AND DEASSIST WOULD NOT WORK BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT A LEGIT PLACE.

Trying to intimidate saying they are attorneys and want a debit card for a collection that already has been paid. Insisting they are the law office of  Henderson, Weinsten and Wyatt.

Change your phone number, put hawk alerts on your credit reports, notify your employer that you've been a victim of fraud, change your bank account numbers, credit card numbers, etc. Reporting them helps, but it won't stop the harassmen. We dealt with this with someone getting a hold of my husband's info. Contacted the FBI as my husband has top secret military clearance. It was a different company, but they used the same tactics. They wouldn't give me a case number, an address, a debt, nothing. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK OR CC INFORMATION. Just change your number. It will stop.

You are obviously a deadbeat--you probably took out a loan and then closed your account once received..or charged up your credit card with no intention to abide by the lenders contractual agreement--you basically took the money and ran.  Instead of taking care of your financial responsibilities you expected a free ride--at the cost of other American consumers.
