I get calls from this number several times a day and no one answers.  I will no longer answer and hope they just give up.  I owe no money to anyone, so it is a scam.

Since December,2009, I have received a call from these people almost everyday, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day, and lately on Saturday and Sunday, and as late as 7 or 8 pm at night.  I am 63 years old, and on social security, I do owe a student loan, but social security deducts  an amount from my check each month, for that loan, and I don't have an issue with that.  I have told these people this several times, and have asked them not to call me anymore at least 4 times.  Today, they called my cell phone, which is not listed in my name, but belongs to my son.

There are times when they are rude, and I know they know that these payments are taken out of my check,   because they have made reference to that,  but they are telling me that I need to pay $235.00 a month, telling me that maybe my family can help, which is none of their business.  I am really being stressed out by the calls, and I already have health issues.

Rcvd. call today looking for my daughter-in-law, using her maiden name w/me as a reference.  I would not give out information so I took this number along w/extension 8592 & told to ask for Miss Riley.  She would not reveal reason for the call.

I received the first call today about a business opportunity left on my machine.  As I am searching for a new job, of course I was curious.  However, the caller got my name wrong and something about it seemed like a complete scam.  AFter reading these messages. I will not be replaying, but wanted to let on that the new scam is a business opportunity.

Received a call from 1877-291-8405 Ext.8587 they are calling my in laws constantly asking for my first name and my mothers maiden name (which has nothing to do with me I have a totally different last name), I tried to call but received a voicemail and did not leave a message. I do not owe any debt I recently recevied a copy of my credit report and no problems at all. Not sure who these people or company are is there any way to stop these ridiculous people from harassing people?

Fact is they are debt collectors. If you are not the person they are looking for don't worry about it. If you are the person pay your freaking bills and quit being scared of the phone. If it's beyond the statute of limitations send them a cease and desist letter. Bottom line pay your bills.

WRONG!! You don't know what you are talking about. A collection agency can call you until the ends of time regardless of whether or not it's on your credit report. You have the right to send them a cease and desist letter which should effectively end their calls etc, and they have the right to sue you in court. Although the SOL would most likely be passed if it's no longer showing up on your credit report depending on what state you live in.

The do not call registry does not pertain to collection agencies attempting to collect a debt. So, don't put out bogus information. The do not call registry is for telemarketers alone. Not collection attempts.

Company if FMS - Financial Management Services.  They are a debt collector and looking for someone who owes them money.  Although I did not co-sign anything for anyone, my name was on a contact list from the person who took out a debt consolidation loan with them and hasn't paid them back.

To all those that read this blog FMS is a real company contracted by the United states department of education.  If they do contact you, and it concerns you, it is your choice to respond, answer, reply, or what ever.. unfortunately since there is no statue of limitations on a government funded loan, FMS may stop calling but we are all aware that the government can seize your tax return, garnish your wages without a court order, or litigate against you through the US department of justice.  I will advise again its is not a scam.  and yes, Raj is the president, not a terrorist by any means.  Its funny that he makes more money per month than all the people living on your block, put together.  Just an FYI, debt collections is a lucrative business.. So Hey.. don't pay your bills.. you feel lucky and I feel money..

Called twice and asked for someone that worked for me. Edward Munoz was the caller both times. Just left a message to call back because it was important.

It's a SCAM. A  S-C-A-M.This Fly by night Scam Company continues harassing me and I HAVE NEVER OWED ANY MONEY!!!!!!! My education (Masters in American Studies) was paid for by the U.S. ARMY, I OWN my house, OWN my vehicles, OWN my boat,  I have NO debt, and your point about "collections being a lucrative business...Yeah so is Dope Dealing.  So keep telling yourself this Joke company is real someday you'll grow-up and get a real job.
