- Beautiful-Brenda replies to Bradwhat about this BRAD!
Complaints generally contain allegations of dissatisfaction with the product/service. Complainants often claim that they were told that for $199.00, they could access a list of home in forclosure or pre-forclosure and they could possibly take over the payments on these homes and move in for little or no money down. When complainants find out that this type of purchase does not happen and ask for a refund, they are told that they have to wait for 90 days before they can obtain a refund and even then they have to provide copies of five, "rejection" letters. The company generally does not respond to any complaints from the BBB. - Beautiful-Brenda replies to BradLIER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike Davenport (check out his facebook page) is a failed punk rocker who lives on a sprawling ranch in Santa Barbara, CA. One of the wealthiest and upscale cities in the world. His neighbors are Oprah and Al Gore. He runs a drug den/telemarketing company on 433 Milpas St., Santa Barbara. Undercover police were frequently scoping the locale.
B. Gopi is the multi-millionaire Indian who owns LOTUS Interworks in Santa Monica, CA. They initially teamed up but eventually got greedy and screwed each other. After extended litigation, they settled. BOTH are still running SCAMS that have changed company names over and over again -- every time the Attorney General brings in the hounds.

- Samantha replies to BradThe guy I talked to was extremely rude and got very angry when I would not give up my credit card number after 5 minutes of information about the buying process. Or should I say scam. Anyway, he was rude and unprofessional. I just ended up hanging up on him. I am hoping they cal me back so I can give them a piece of my mind.
- Heads up AGAINThey are now posting on Craigslist using local numbers and after you call the "local" number you are transferred to something else. I called and talk to a guy that was really nice and not demanding at all. HOWEVER.... After listening to his whole spill on how it worked, I informed him that I didn't have the money to pay it right now. Mainly because it seemed way to good to be true... So now after hours of research... I have come to the conclusion that it is most def a scam. I am in Tennessee and the local number was 615-348-5987... So now you have to pay close attention. However he did call me back a little while later to give me their website address and that number came across as 877-395-1294.
- Hatt replies to mike davenport| 1 replyIf this is legit Brad i would really like a 3 day free trial. As i was told the $199 gets paid either way either in the buying process or upfront. I just had a baby and i am trying to find a permanent place to live. Please help if you are a real "good" company.
- getta clue replies to HattYou had a baby!???? It's full of your gullible genes. Sad.
- Mary replies to BradPosted Clearly by employee or owner of company
- azYa i asked if they were backed by the better business bureau and they finally admitted no. lol
probably a scam. - How it Works| 1 replyLadies and Gentlemen, allow me a moment of your time. Let me first say that I am in no way affiliated with this company. I have, however, worked in a similar type call room. What you refer to as a SCAM is actually not. It is an extremely shady and dubious capitalistic business venture, for certain, but not illegal. You pay for a service that is rendered. Sure, the product is available for free elsewhere, but that is the entire idea. They are selling you a service that costs them nothing. They do not monitor or modify the list they provide, and they claim no liability for the validity of the information on it. In legal terms they are acting as a facilitator by pointing you in the direction of someone elses product or service. Most people do not know they can gain access to the same information for free, and that is what they play on. They do not ever do anything more than take your money and say here is your list, the rest is up to you. Their refund policy saying you have to wait 90 days is nothing more than a scheme to get you to wait until you can no longer dispute their charge, as most cards only have a 90 day window. I'm willing to bet they do not accept American Express, as their dispute period is 180 days, or 6 months. The company I worked for didn't. And their listings are not fraudulent, as they state very carefully "houses like this" or "homes similar to this", and homes like that do indeed appear on the foreclosure lists. The pricing they advertise is also accurate for the lower end homes on the list, as well. At worst, they are guilty of misleading advertisements, but what company isn't.
In short, they are predators. But in a capitalist society, they are not criminals. You pay them for access to a list and get just that. They are scumbags, though, and should be ashamed of their actions. But this is America, all hail the mighty $$. - How It Works replies to How it WorksAlso, the Better Business Bureau is just as much of a scam.
They have no actual legal power to make a business do anything, operate on a "pay-to-play" model where a company buys accreditation and pays a "moderation fee" for each "resolved" complaint, and are each individual franchises operating independently under the loose umbrella of the national office. Yes, they are able to facilitate (Remember that word?) resolution of complaints reported to them, but a business is under no obligation to even acknowledge their existence, let alone respond to complaints filed with them. The BBB only has information on companies that someone has reported to them, which is why it is so common to see a company without a rating or any useful information on the profile, and do not actively seek out companies to rate. They have no connection to any governmental agency, such as the Attorney General's office which actually has power over every business in a state, and play on the misguided belief that they are an official governmental agency.
One could call that a scam, as well. - angieMy boyfriend found this number on Craig's list he had no $ in his bank account so didn't do it but when he told me about the fee I immediately called to ask business name and location so I could look u up before we go forward. The rude man said talk to the person u got the number from and hung up. I called 3 more times, being hung up on every time And was told we r hanging up on u because u think we are a scam so just rent the normal way. Anything like this that's wants your account/ c.card #s over the phone is a giant red flag. A real business would have professional in-person process and legit business would have NO PROBLEM giving you their business name/ location before going your money. Losers.

- fnordThey now call themselves "Standard Capital US" but were previously known as American Standard(s) Online, Anchor House Financial, and other aliases: they want to charge you $199 for a not-very-current list of rent-to-own or so-called "pre-foreclosed" homes. If you refuse to give them your credit card number, or ask too many questions, they get extremely rude in a heartbeat.
http://flakelist.org/page/viewpub/tid/1/pid/3665#comments - never give up exposing the bad guys replies to BradI own several single family rental houses in WV. They stole my photos from when I advertised one house for rent on Craigsllst, and they are using the photos and details of my rental property, saying in their Craigslist ad that they have a house for rent. How is this NOT a scam? It's a violation of numerous laws!
