So incredibly frustrating! I've been inundated with these BS calls recently. This number called at 8:05 this morning, waking me out of a great sleep-in. It's Sunday!!! Ugh!!! >:-(

Calling from that bastion of integrity that is Mumbai... Midland Collection. This has to be a scam.

They are a publicly traded company (Symbol: ECPG) and they are vulnerable to attack through this route. I have no debt, never had. But these [***] call anyone, without checking their information. They need to have their [***] kicked.

I keep getting calls from this number 8774115551 and I don't know who it is I want them to stop they are harrasing me!

I have been getting calls at odd hours from 877-411-5551. No one is ever on the line. Please make them stop

This number keeps calling me at least 6 times a day starting at round 8am till round 930pm you answer n say hello 3 times n no ones there. And on sunday they started callin at 8 am till 945 pm on a sunday that really pisses me off this crazy I want It to stop this time im reporting it they started already this morning so im gonna get a lawyer to do it. Im sick of it im a disabled women

MIDLAND CREDIT COLLECTION AGENCY....I OWE MONEY HE SAYS, ASKED FOR SOMEONE THAT NOT ME I TOLD HIM THAT HE HAS THE WRONG NUMBER AND THEY KEEP CALLING BACK, I SAID OK..SO FROM NOW ON THEY WILL GET A FEW CHOICE WORDS WHEN THEY CALL BECAUSE I ASKED THEM TO STOP CALLING ME SO IF THEY CAN STAND CHOICE WORDS AND IT WILL NOT ME SIR AND MADAME

The next time they call let them know they are in violation of the FDCPA and TCPA by intentionally harassing a non-debtor and you will be seeking legal counsel and taking them to court if the calls do not stop.

I see that this is yet another number associated with Midland collection agents.

They call me several times from a number (I see it reported here).  Several days later they call from a different number.  And then another.  They never leave a message.

I don't answer anymore; they always hung up, when I asked why they called.  I started using the number-blocking feature on the phone, to silence the ringer, on each number I that's reported here.  I'm just not answering unidentified numbers, anymore.

Thanks for your help everyone. They call a few times a day. Twice within two hours just today.  They even call on Sundays.  I've added them to my reject call list.

Fairly simple, is this a debt collector? Sure is and a quick peek into their MO as follows. Do these [***] trade number lists with others, yup and not for free. Numbers that trace back to a debt collector but never leave messages or you can't call back do the following: there is a drop dead time for folks with unpaid bills (no clue what it is), when these [***] go through legal channels they have to show their attempts to collect; these "phantom" numbers can and will be used in court to show cause. They will show they called 15-20 times and you called back once. Then you tell the court nobody ever answers....have a lawyer or four clerk call that number ill bet somebody answers then. Guys you should know that blocking your caller ID/number is easily by-passed. They know exactly who is calling. I know because I had an outstanding debt and went through all of this! Funny thing is they can get a hell of lot more from you if you don't pay and they get the go ahead to seize your [***]. My debt was dropped because I did my homework and was able to show they were full of [***]! I recorded everything on digits (video/voice) even the calls where nobody ever answers. If you personally don't have debt but someone in your immediate family does then BINGO and all of the above applies

They called my cell nmber and left no message. Called them from a difference phone umber- Midland Credit. They said they had the wrong number and will remove my number from their list. She was nice.Could take up to 24 hours to remove.  If you want to have your name removed I would call them.

Yes I believe that happened to me. Just called them and my name did not match the number.

Just received a call from this number, asking for a family member about a property in a state we've never been to. They said they would remove my number, but we'll see if its try.

I like that last sentence.  I'm going to do the same.  Good one!

Call blocker is your best bet.   Also don't pick up on calls you don't recognize.  There's no way to stoop the calls from being initiated.  You can protect yourself, however.

Keeps calling but wont leave message. When call back the [***] keeps hanging up. What's up with that? More like phone harassment to me.
