- ShavonneHi to all,
This is just my opinion. If this so called company Midland Credit calling you and calling me few times a day seven days a week is a real problem.
Check the Laws in your State. I told them to send me the papers by mail to show me proff or send me to Court. It is a Dam scam!!! Good luck!!! Plus ask questions that you know the answer to that they don't. Document times and dates to keep on record to Sue their sorry a**es.- Caller: Midland Credit

- elGot another call from this number today. I do not know who it is and I wish they would stop calling my number. It would be nice if someone did the way that they are doing people.
- John YungThis number has been calling for weeks now. Just today I've already received 2 calls from it. I would love for these useless numbers to stop calling me, while I am at work, and while I am sleeping in the middle of the night, or in the early morning.

- NoccNoDEBT replies to Dougie| 15 repliesYEP, got 3 calls from them today alone. 2 late in the day and one in the a.m. I have no credit cards and owe no money other than utilities etc. makes at least 8 calls since the 1st of may, all hours. It's crazy making. If you DO answer- they HANG UP. If you've a chance to say anything- they just keep calling with these silent calls MORE OFTEN. :(
- The BoogiemanYou are all missing the boat to have some serious fun with these [***]. . . . . . Tell them that you are really interested in what they have to say, but that you suffer from Turrett's Syndrome and are prone to swear uncontrollably at all times and then call them some filthy name and then revert to a sweet innocent voice for a minute or so before discussing their parentage in detail with them all the while telling them what you are going to do with their mother tonight. . . then revert to the sweet innocent voice again. After a minute go off on them again. . .repeat the pattern as needed. sooner or later they will get the message.

- Fed UpKeep getting calls from 877-411-5551. The only voicemail message I get is "HELLO?!" Never anything else. I answer, they hang up. It's ridiculous. If you believe I have a debt (I do not), send me a letter stating to whom I am in debt, the amount owed, and when the debt was incured. I might give you more than 2 seconds of my time...
- Caller: Unsure - never leaves message!

- Ashley| 3 repliesThese losers called me one too many times, so I finally got a chance to let them have it. (And boy did I ever!) The previous time I had answered a call from them, they immediately hung up. But when they called past 8pm on MOTHERS DAY, that was it. For one thing, they aren't even calling for me (I'm NOT Charles L. Smith). Secondly, no reputable business is going to call on a Sunday, much less past 8 in the evening. It's now Thursday and I have yet to receive any further calls.

- AVSick and tired from their calls. Almost every single day-- feel like someone stalking me.
- Mikediazzz replies to Dougie| 4 repliesIf you have a smart phone, there is an option in your settings " block caller". That´ll be enough. But you are right, we need new regulations for these companies that don´t respect time of day or day of the week to keep calling. TGIF.
- me replies to BUBBALMAO! That was awesome! You just made my day!!
- JenI have the text plus app and this number keeps calling me. It woke me up at two in the morning. In the middle if math class, it rung and I had an in school suspension. It is making me so annoyed. I blocked them but they somehow kept calling me.

- John Galt| 2 repliesHave gotten multiple calls on my work cell phone from this number starting May 9th and continuing on May 11, May 15, and today. I just looked them up here, saved them as a contact named SCAM Midland Credit, then went in and assigned a silent ring so when they call the phone doesn't make noise in the middle of a meeting or while driving in traffic. I also assigned silence to the message, so they can call all dang day and night and all I hear is blessed silence.
People, if you get a butt-load of these kind of calls, from the same number, this trick can be done on nearly all cell phones if they don't support outright blocking of the number. Assign them a contact name, then assign a silent ringtone to them. It doesn't stop the calls, but it stops the annoyance.
And, if the phone lights up when one of these comes in and you're sleeping, say, a shift worker or something, keep the phone in its holster and use the same contact list trick in reverse to assign a loud ring for maybe the one true emergency contact that might legitimately need to wake you up.
As an aside, I'm one of Dave Ramsey's enthusiastic followers and have not owed any debts for almost a decade. Since cell phone numbers as well as land line numbers are often recycled in a matter of months, this kind of harassment by the debt collection industry is only going to get worse as the nation's economy continues to slowly collapse over the next decade or so. Since nearly all "new" phone numbers are recycled, and only a small fraction of the population is truly debt free, and many old numbers are given up during forced migration and major lifestyle upheaval, eventually just about every newly assigned phone number will be robocalled by debt collectors looking for the previous owner.
The same is true when moving to a used home or apartment. The odds rise every year that the prior tenants or homeowners went through a major financial setback. I hear of people constantly who get mail or even a lawsuit service for someone who used to live there.
This is also true of people who have died. Debt collectors continue to harass the new owners of phone numbers of the deceased, and new residents of places they once lived. I tracked down one such decedent's burial location and started giving bill collectors the address of the cemetery and the plot number and told them to stop by the hardware store and buy a shovel and wheelbarrow on the way to see them.- Caller: Midland Credit?

- Joe Shmoe replies to Dougie| 4 repliesI have the same problem with a 2 year old phone number that someone must have used and now owes money. No matter if you answer or not they will continue to call.
- Annoyed1 replies to GebYou an call block any number from any cell phone.
If you don't have the block app built in to the phone, you can download any free version from the android store or I'm sure Apple has a version, but might not be free.
