DO NOT Give them anything, DO NOT Give them your SSN# , maybe your last 4, tell them to identify who is the debt from and deal with them directly but I doubt if these jokers will disclose this. these people are crooks who will not payoff your debt. if you owe anything, billing from a hospital is horrible, it is funny how the hospital will get paid but they do not share the info with radiodlist who read your xray ETC... then these clown use this fly by nite co. who use it's a 3rd party we are trying collect for give us your credit card number. then they won't tell you who is??? if they can produce a legit bill from this 3rd party then you have a starting point to resolve

We googled 404-418-8981 because we are getting these calls 2-3x/day, saying they are calling from the Financial Crime Division and they have an active criminal investigation with either my husband or myself.
Names of them have been Charlene Murphy, Shelley McNeil, Barbara Williams and more. Phone numbers:

I asked about the debt, they would not give me any information because I would not give them my date of birth (month and day). I explained they keep calling me, I want to resolve the issue but I'm not giving them any more of my private information.

Did find several bills that were ALREADY PAID out of a settlement on my behalf  by my ATTORNEY. Called this company, sent proof (although they are very brash) and in all fairness they did in fact REMOVE the items from my credit report in a few weeks. Seems they ARE NOT TRAINED PROPERLY. If you want the items removed, be calm and express your concerns (NOT YOUR PROBLEMS, UNLESS YOU'VE PAID OR GENUINELY DIDN'T RECEIVE A BILL) they will give you acct no and contacts for the origin of the bill. Check out the details, if in fact you do owe, they will remove the debt when payed. I TOO THOUGHT THIS COMPANY A SCAM, TURNS OUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE. GOOD LUCK, HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE.

...if the callers refuse to MAIL proof of debt/proof they have the legal right to collect said debt.  Or if they keep calling for the same person, even though they've been told that person does not live here.  It's got nothing to do with being "trained properly" and everything to do with complying with the FDCPA!

Except 3rd party disclosure is acceptable if you are talking about the bill - not the patient. It is in the law to prevent this entire problem.

As I read the law that they are quoting (dealt with AECI?) the law states that 3rd party disclosures are acceptable in resolving billing issues as long as the patients Medical history is not discussed. AECI finally suggested I go to their website - would have been paid months earlier if they had said you have an outstanding bill - just needed last /name + last of the ss number to pay it. But at least they started their calls with this is AECI.  Then the script.

Got a call from 877-435-4009. They left no message. When I called back they refused to give me any information unless I told them who I was first. I told them I wanted to know who I was speaking with before I offered my information and the woman said that pursuant to the law she didn't have to give me any info. Very rude! Very harassing! Non stop phone calls everyday! They wouldn't even tell me who they were looking for

We, too, are getting calls from MBROI (that is how they identified themselves) but the call from their automated system gave 1-800-234-1357 as the call back number.  They asked all the above questions about home phone, who am I, what is my birthday, etc.  After giving them my phone number (it is public info) I refused to answer further questions as they would not identify themselves.  This is pure phishing.  This company can be compared to "Hello Senior Citizen" and "Rachel from Card Services".

Just got the automated call from a company that identified itself as NBROI, with the identical script as reported in other posts. It was a woman's voice, pronounced my name wrong. I hung up and Googled  "NBROI" and ended up here. The phone number that showed on my caller I.D. was 800-234-1357. I am a cancer patient, but all bills have been paid on time for over two years. I had my identity stolen 31 days ago and checked my credit report at that time and it was golden. No outstanding debt, no late payments. Now I'm very worried!

they called at 7.30 in am  they wanted my full name and i woud not give to them,  they said there would be a letter in the mail in three days  to explain the calling so i looked at my phone and got the number and called and they put me hold.  i then went on the computer and got this info.  I was widowed two years ago and i get this all the time. so i call the police and tell the caller that i have a tape on my phone,

I live overseas and got a phone call from this number. All toll-free numbers are not accepted in the country I live. This automatically gave me a red flag. This is a fraud, do not anwer or return call.

I received a call today from MBROI and they would not tell me what the call was in reference to but that it was an important matter. They wanted me to verify my name, address and phone number (which I refused). They said they spoke to my husband and I told them if they spoke to my husband why did they need to speak to me. They said the issue was not resolved. They didn't speak to my husband at all. DO NOT give them any information or speak to them. They are a scam.

A woman called from this number, asking for a man whose name I don't recognize. (Similar to others' complaints here.) Also, my cellphone area code *does not* reflect the area in (the U.S.) which I live. This is highly suspicious, considering identity theft!

Got a call from this number asking me to conform info, I asked who was calling and the lady said "federal laws prohibits me from discussing that with you" I said then I am sorry, thank you and she said thank you and hang up.

Get a call from this number, would not identify them selves, I don't want this call again

What name did they have that appeared on your credit was it just the initials MBROI?
