- Becky| 1 replyThese are calls from CitiBank - However, CitiBank is also a collection agency for other credit cards, such as Home Depot and sorry, I don't remember the others. They can be blocked from verizon accounts for one or two weeks for free. FYI
- gasman replies to BeckyIf these calls are being delivered to a Verizon cell account/number, go to Verizonwireless.com, sign in, and enter the annoying number into your blocked caller list. Good for 90 days, then you can reenter if calls are still occurring.
- LloydI've gotten at least 25 Calls from this Number in the last 3 Days.
I answer as I normally do, saying "Hello" and stating this is Lloyd. There is no response on the other end and it automatically disconnects after a few seconds. I suspect it is American Home Mortgage, a Company that I previous Sent a "Caese and Disist Letter to, I just want to Verifyy them as the Guilty Party before Taking Legal Action. It appears to be another one of this Firm's Ruthless Harrassment Tactics. - Leave a Message replies to Fraud AlertI got a call this afternoon (Sunday) at 4:00 PM. They identified themself as CitiCard on behalf of Home Depot ref: late credit payment. I don't have a payment and advised them I would look into it with HD.
Caller ask me to make a payment. I said no. They ask if I would confirm the credit information. I told them I would not but they could tell me what information they had but they refused. I hung up. - Puzzled| 1 replyI only have one credit card and it is paid off monthly. This number calls several times a day and never leaves a message. Please stop!!! I will not return a call unless I know who is calling.
- KayleeThey are constantly calling my house no less than 6 calls per day 7 days a week. I have been documenting the number of calls and finally decided to call the number back. It asks for your card # which I do not have because I don't have an acct with them. You finally get to customer service. I told them I didn't have an acct and was tired of them calling my house everyday. I told them I was documenting the number of calls and was going to report them to the phone co. which the girl told me to go right on ahead. I told her I would and to remove my number from their list. I told them they were harassing me and then they wanted to know if my home number was new. I told her no because I have had this number for over 10 years. They removed my number but I was rude. I don't know if they are collectors or telemarketers for the company. Another website has over 1400 complaints against them.
- Caller: Citibank
- Kaylee replies to PuzzledDo like I did. Call the number and ask them to remove your number. They removed mine. Read my post

- AnonymousReceived 25 calls in a week - they are calling into my business' automated phone system and they never leave a message or press any keys to talk to a person

- Angelica| 1 replyDon't have a citi card or any store card but they call 5+ times a day
- Caller: Citibank
- leslieThey are the only company that keeps calling us and trying to collect when we are in a debt relief program. They are calling at 7a.m. so I'm going to have that reported. The debt relief company takes care of that for us. They really have some nerve breaking the law. I think I'm going to put in a formal complaint because they have done it before.
- Caller: citibank

- leslie replies to AngelicaProbably have a bogus phone number for someone who does owe them money. It's best to just answer the phone and tell them. They will probably act stupid, like you're hiding the person, but usually they'll stop after a couple of times. Plus, they can look it up and find out that person doesn't own the number anymore.
- LilyMy husband nor my parents have a Home Depot account nor do we have a card through Citi bank!
They keep calling us upwards of 10 times or more a day. They don't say who the phone calls is for only to call this certain number.
Unless someone has given them our phone number I have no idea why they are calling. It is disturbing though as they have started to call first thing in the morning until late at night. When you answer the dang phone no one is there to talk to you. For real this is harassment. I don't give a flying fudge sickle if there are people out there who owe them money, ONCE a day is enough 10 times is harassment. Then when you owe them nothing it makes you furious. I told my parents that we should call Home Depot up and ask them what the heck is going on and that they need to stop calling. As the phone calls are coming for Home Depot Citi Cards someone is going to hear a lot of complaining.- Caller: Home Depot Citi Cards-Jerks

- Lily-AgainThese people are a'holes!
I blocked them on our phone and filed a complaint. The thing is that the phone still rings ONCE.
No one in our family has a Citi Bank Card or an account with Home Depot.
It is 11am and these jerks have called 5+ times in ONE freaking HOUR!
Now I am going to be contacting anyone and everyone to report these people.
Our phone is used to also monitor my dad's heart/blood pressure. They have messed with the wrong people.
Beyond furious that they are HARASSING us!- Caller: Citi Bank-Home Depot
- Call type: Telemarketer
- CLThey keep calling. I keep answering. They keep hanging up as soon as I answer. It's like a prank call but by a business... I had to use *69 just to find out who was calling me...
- Caller: Apparently Citicards
- Call type: Prank
- Lily-AgainWell, I finally called this number and it is Citi Bank!
I had to wait since they want your account information up front. None of us have an account.
So I talked to this one lady and I gave her our phone number. Well come to find out my step-dad's ex wife (he divorced her in the early 80s) had given them our phone number. The lady took it out.
Well I called back and talked to a guy. I explained it to him and gave them our phone number. Well, I told him the same thing and I said I am going to give you HER mailing address and phone numbers.
Well she had given a PO box. So I gave them her mailing address then I gave them her home phone number AND her cell phone number.
Both the people I spoke to her professional and polite. He laughed when I said you want her cell phone number as well. He apologized again and I told him it is not your fault she is the one who gave our phone number. Thing is she lives 6 hours away from us. So if you are really bothered by the phone call and you do not have an account call them up.- Caller: Citi Bank-Home Depot

- GARYFor almost a month now, I get a telephone call telling me they wiah to talk to me about my Home Depot account and I easily discovered it was CitBank. So the first time they called, I called them, spoke to a woman. I told her that I have not had a credit card for over 15 years and that I have never purchased anything from Home Depot. I asked them to stop calling. After getting 7 more calls that Monday and every day thereafter, I figured out who had my surname who would have that debt.
I know that as a first party debt collector,(a debt collector collecting its own debt) they are exempt from the proviiaons of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Act, but since they are exempt from that law, they are not protected from state Common law theories of litigation. Guess which company gets sued for harassment once they hit the 6 week mark. Guess whose real target is filing bankruptcy in a week. Perhaps if all those who are their targets file common law suits in their home States, CitiBank will stop lobbying Congress to retain its exemption from Fedral law and ask them for its protections. Perhaps we can get our Congressperson to strike the silly exemption. /gac/
