mr. cline with troll/cornice law offices or somthing like that called from 877-444-4655 with news that i should call about a debt..stumbled on the words when he was explaining, had to repeat himself twice and it made me suspicious. a quick google about the number and here i am adding to the list of people potentially scammed.  I know this is [***], and i know how the law works and this crap is not right! never give any numbers to anyone over the phone. with obamanomics in place we can all expect every type of scam imaginable soon. BEWARE!! Moneys tight,times are hard,lets all redouble our american guard!!

Then report it!!! the only way to get these people off your backs is if there are enough complaints made to the FTC.

guess what...they called again. I called them back and told them to remove my number from their calling list. No one here by that name!!!

It is my understanding that they cannot legally give out any information unless it is to the individual themselves. Sounds like this copany just broke the law....You might want to check into it.

This person has called now 3 times claiming they are from some Law office saying I must return this call, pretaing to a very importany matter not very clear on the phone, hard to understand, sounds like they are reading off a script of some type, and not even doing that very well

I personally found the firm helpful in settling some of my outstanding debts.  They were extremely professional and saved me a lot of time and money.  Of course they'll have wrong numbers and read from scripts at times, but for the most part are helping a lot of people improve their financial situation.  My debts were originated through a company called Transworld Systems and others through NCO.  They must do the forwarding legal work for those collection agencies.

Just my thoughts, i saved over $4,000.00 through negotiated settlements

Spread more lies, see anyone can claim to be an an attorney.  These callers are just some dumb humps at a collection agency trying to scare the ignorant in paying off $.

Got a call from "Law Office of Joe Cardis."   Came up on my caller ID as "Unknown" so they are blocking caller ID.  Left 877-444-4655 to call back.  Read all the posts here.  Will not be calling back.

just got a call from this number at first they asked for my husband and i hung up and no more then 1 min they were calling back so i let the anwser machine get it .  they left this message on my machine to call 1-877-444-4655 ext 7118 and that i had to the end of the business day to return their call.  so i call my husband who is at work and tell him to call and find out what they want and from what he says the women Ms.Jones works for an attorney office and that if my husband doesnt pay 600.00 in full or send in a payment of 186.00 they are going to start a suit against him to sue him.  and they also gave him a website to go to to make a payment through that and its www.paycarbis.com or www.paycorbis.com.  r these ppl scam artist need to know before i get ahold of my attorney.

I have gotten calls from them. I never answer as no name appears on my cell. Will not call them.

Call on 5/21/2010 from Karen Walker "attorney" from Cardis Law firm. After checking this website, much relieved. I don't even have any debt!!!
Now, I do have a distant relative that owes some money, and we've received some calls from (legitimate) debt collectors about her. Those calls finally stopped a few months ago. Cardis probably picked up the trail, and was calling any number it could. Feel much better!

Recieved a msg today from Mr. Otto.  Couldnt even finish his script before laughing and disconecting.  I dont know what debt he wants, but if they want me to pay it, they better send me a damn letter!! THX for all the posts, I can finally sleep tonight...

Must call them immediately about an attempt to collect a debt.

The "Law Office" of "Joel Cardis" called at my place of business today.  Listen people all you have to do is tell these fools NOT to call you again and if they do you will contact the FTC Federal Trade Commision and report them.  When I told this guy that all he could legally say to me was have a good day.  Hang onto the number and if the fool calls again go to www.ftc.gov and report it.  Don't let these idiots intimidate you get them where it hurts first.  If you call them back that is just fueling their fire, so don't give them that satisfaction.  Good Luck!

got an automated call asking for some business and to press one to get to an attorney so held to tell them they had the wrong number, the person was beyond rude and told them they had the wrong number they kept talking over me, so I told them they could keep calling the wrong number wouldn't bother me. . they said they were a lawyer so I challenged them and asked if so and they were calling the wrong number could I record the call so I had a record that they were calling the wrong number, they person said no that I did not have their permission so I said then the call is over.  They asked if I realized I was talking to an lawyer, I didn't respond, they asked if I was still there I said yes but would not answer anymore questions unless I could record the call. . .they yelled at me and hung up

Ms. Burton keeps calling my cell phone (which i dont know how they got that number) and leaves messages saying that they are trying to collect a debt that I owe. The funny thing is that the only debt that Im incurring are student loans and Im still in school so I still have 2 1/2 years before i have to start payment on those. I dont know what debt that they are talking about so I just put their number on auto block, they'll eventually stop calling.
