I have received a recorded message from a Mr. Barr of Joel Cardis Law Office. He wants me to call him urgently "on an important personal matter." He wants to collect a debt. I have never had any debts. The previous owners of my phone line did. I have blocked this number from calling me again.

Same as all on this post.  I owe no money.  No one even there to return call to. Total scam!

I am a 14 year old girl receiving calls about me having a debt which wouldn't make sense because I wouldn't have a debt at the age of 14. They've called about 10 times. Very annoying.

A Mike Markowitz for the Law Offices of Joel Cardis keeps calling and wanting me to call back regarding collecting a debt? My caller ID says 610-239-7147. The person leaves a number to call back of 877-444-4655. I called twice. No one answers! They want you to press a number key to make a payment! They never sent anything to me. I did leave a message with no personal information asking them to provide me with who they are calling about. What is owed?  If this is a valid call they do not even call me by name and if attorney's are involved you would receive some documentation I the mail! Totally a scam! They keep calling! Very irritating!!!!!

This office calls at least twice per week.  I have since blocked all of their calls and they are automatically disconnected.  If I owed money, you would provide in writing.  When they call and the calls were allowed, it was a recording.  It didn't say who it was for, just to call this law office.  Are you kidding me.  This has gone on for months.  I have already spoken to an attorney.  He says they are bottom feeding scum.

THanks for all the comments, I got the voicemail today from Joel Cardis law firm and could not for the life of me think of anything I would have in collections.  It is 130 AM and I am going through all my mail.  Now I can sleep too.  THANKS AGAIN.....

This "law office" makes robotic calls leaving threatening messages regarding a debt NOT OWED BY ME.
The person they are seeking is my former tenant's daughter.
I called the number they left to speak to someone, got a robotic answer message, a moment of recorded music, and then a click and silence.
Would like them to STOP CALLING ME!!!!  That family has not lived in our house for almost three years now!!!

They ask me for my ss number.  I will not call back.

Call number is actual 610-239-7147. Person leave a message to call back about a debt. All bills are current. A total scam. Several years ago they called an sent a letter. The bill had been paid off 4 years earlier. Told them to f...and filed a complaint with the FTC. Calls stopped. Now they are at it again. Will file another complaint with FTC and possibly contact my lawyer to file a harassment suit against them. The calls left on the machine are aggrievating and I am not calling them back.

Not only did I get this alarming call, my Mother received the same call on her phone.  There is no outstanding debts for either of us.  We live nowhere near the state of PA (where this lawyer is LLC listed).  The call back number was stated as 610 239-7147  7102

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Received a call from Ms. Morrison at Joel Cardis requesting to speak with a family member. Took message. At end of call she announced that the call was recorded. They are legally obligated to inform you of this at the start of the call, not end. Scammers.
