I FIGURED THIS OUT EVERYONE!!!!! The company keeps saying to check the BBB and see no unsatisfied customers....right? Well...they're actually listed under a NV corp in the name SBFC, Inc. Well here is your million dollar answer for everyone out there. This company was started in Aug, 07....that's only a few months old.  Everyone is "waiting" on their grant money to come in but NOBODY has actually received it. Just pay them money and they'll have the grant money out to you?! NOT TRUE! There's no complaints because they've only been around a few months and the customers are still hopeful the money is on the way. Every time you talk to them that's what they're telling you.....right? There's no history of satisfied customers! There's not 1 verifiable satisfied customer! Not 1! No references! They will take your money with false promises. DON'T DO IT! This is what will happen....let the list of people (who have paid) build up....and when all these people realize that no grant money is coming in, then the floodgates pour in with complaints...then your "funding" company will be long gone and under a different corporation name.....WITH YOUR MONEY IN THEIR BANK ACCOUNT!!!  SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!

Same here just contacted by them. A person representing the company with poor English speaking skills (I don't hold that against them).

They could make considerably more money of they charged or asked for 10% of any grant money funded.

I am not 100% sure that this is a scam. But there is a big chance that it is because I just got off the phone with them. I TOLD THEM THAT i LIKE the proposal & want to go forward but before I send you guys a check for $2600.00, I would like to see a copy of their financial report for the last 2 years so I can see for myself how the company grow, where the money goes & where the money comes from. When I asked him that, he told me that he has to have me talk to his manager. Then his manager told me that he has to talk to the legal office. Then they told me that they can not give me that information unless I decide to come on board with them. Like the say, if you think it's too good to be true is because it is. Just be careful out there guys.

I think this is a SCAM I paid $$$$ in December 2007, and I was told  that I had big possibilities of getting this grant by March 2008. Well is March 2008 and I have not received an update. Then when I call the persons that were suppose to be working my profile and the customer service persons in my form, they are no longer working there. I have been calling and leaving messages to ask for an update and no one return my calls. **TO PEOPLEOUT THERE PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY*** IF IS NOT A SCAM I WILL POST AGAIN AND LET YOU KNOW. AND YES I AM A REAL PERSON THAT PAID MONEY.

I seriously can't believe ANYONE would send money to some random company, after being cold-called. Your head does not do well, if inserted in your nether regions. No wonder scammers keep popping up like weeds after a storm. After all, "A fool and his money are soon parted."

John, I'd appreciate knowing when you applied and when you got the $100K, and whether you have a regular "for profit" business or operate as a "non-profit" entity.  As board chair of a non-profit, public interest orgqanization, I have to be very careful that the #2600 is going to a funding entity that can has an established track record of really delivering.  Thanks.

I too have been speaking with SBFINC. I have been talking with Thomas L. Carey who says great news, i'm approved for the process. yes the amount is 2,600.00 up front. the other $4,000.00 is paid when you get funded. the number they've called me from is (866)898-2540,& Fax (702) 974-1359 i haven't sent them any money & am continuing my investigation

OK, I did a fast check, they have been a Nevada Corp, since 1977, not just 2007, they are listed as: SMALL BUSINESS FUNDING CO., INC., the strange thing I find is the the list of officers :

President - ERIC BOECKH
Treasurer - ERIC BOECKH
Secretary - ERIC BOECKH
Director -  ERIC BOECKH,  

Capital Amount $25,000.00 The total monetary value of all shares associated with the entity which is calculated as Par Share Count x Par Share Value.

I also found another company listed with the same Corp. name UPPER MANAGEMENT SERVICE'S INC., and damn if this is not strange the list of officers is :

and well follow the link I gave before and use the search for the name "BOECKH"   I found Eric BOECKH, JUAN BOECKH, LEOPOLDO E BOECKH, and OLIVIA BOECKH, and guess what, they are all in the SMALL BUSINESS FUNDING business!!

I didn't actually receive a call to begin with. I stumbled onto the website while searching for something else and thought it sounded pretty good. I contacted them, and was pretty satisfied with everything I heard. Now I feel really stupid for telling so many friends and family about the great business I was going to start with my 100K in grants.
I kept meaning to check out their office too, since I actually live less than 20 minutes away. Never found the time.
Well, after reading all 5 pages of responses, I am quite convinced that they are definitely a scam. I really wanted them to be legit, but I can see now that they are not.
The responses from Chris and the other employees are actually pretty good, but it looks like things are really heating up now, by the time you get to page 5, and I haven't seen a response from Chris in a week or two.
Anyway, I really feel bad for those that were ripped off by this company. I can assure you that I will be contacting the media and the police on Monday, 3/31 (my birthday!), to make sure they are shut down. It will not be an april fool's joke when the police show up at their door.

So its april 2nd. How did the raid go. Really if you live 20 minutes I live 14 hours away would be great to go and check them out. Meet with the entire staff, grant writers, Analysts, etc etc. Whats there?

I mean whats a 1/2 hour for thousand of dollars of risk for opportunities. versus...An to stand for basic moral goodness for us all so we can recipricate ..Please let us/me know.

Tim is telling you that the co is new. Read the whole thing and you will see that the co was in fact started in 77. Aug 2007 business certificate was issued to do business in THAT locale. New bigger office? Who knows. I know if I recieved a large amount of $, I would tell very few people the amount, but I would tell where I got it. Maybe they will start posting. Until there are ACTUAL complaints of NOT getting grant $, saying a co is a scam-OPINION. To be leary is smart; to slander without facts is wrong.

Well we noticed the website and filled out the information and we got called right away.  But my intuition was screaming at me!  So I went to the website again and tried to find some business name or someone who I could contact.  So any name that was listed, and I looked up 5 different people, I 411'ed to get thier number.  Well no numbers came up for all 5 people.  No listing came up for those people in the city the website had listed.  The businesses were bogus to.  I tried to phone up quite a few businesses and none of them existed.  So I believe that they take your info and add it to the website and put some phony info in to make people believe that lots of people are getting money.  
Well, do your homework people.  I work hard for my money and $2500 is alot to give to someone I don't know.

Intersting, i also spoke with someone from this company ( Todd Christian ) this gentlemen has given my wife an extension as of 4 to 5 months ago and he is no longer at this particular extension.When i spoke with him today, he mentioned he did not have a direct extension.I will be investigating the business as of tomorrow and i will forward my findings.
