Intersting, i also spoke with someone from this company ( Todd Christian ) this gentlemen has given my wife an extension as of 4 to 5 months ago and he is no longer at this particular extension.When i spoke with him today, he mentioned he did not have a direct extension.I will be investigating the business as of tomorrow and i will forward my findings.

We received a call from this number offering services to write a grant in which they said that they guaranteed us that we would get a grant if we paid them $2600.00 up front and $3700.00 when we got the grant. I looked them up with the BBB (they said to be wary of companies asking for money up front). They had one complaint in the last three years that was resolved. With that I spoke again to a young lady who claimed to be one of their regional managers. At that time I started asking her questions about the guarantee, the BBB listing, the upfront money (because if they offer a guarantee like they said they do, then why can't they get their money when we get the grant????)etc., Anyway, the lady hung up on me. So to answer the question, is this company legit. I, personally have a hard time believing it. Because if they were, I should be able to ask all the questions that I need to ask to feel comfortable giving them my money. And they should answer all the questions fully and truthfully to assure me that they are on the up and up. They could not or would not even provide past customer testimonials. So deal with them at your own risk. I'm not!! They sent me info on their company name of SBFC, Inc. and Small Business Funding Company, Inc.

I did my own research on this company, starting with where they directed me - the same as all of you - BBB and Secretary of State.  They aren't even members of the BBB, so their information is limited. From the Secretary of State's website, I learned this place has had a whole bunch of owners, different corporate names and several corporate revocations.  A few years ago, they had a lawyer as their "resident agent" - funny - all businesses using him had their corporations revoked.  This is all on the Secretary of State's website - just follow the prompts.  When I called the Nevada Attorneys General Office, I was given the phone # to the Bureau of Consumer Protection.  The lady there told me that she had five pages of complaints, with at least 5 complaints per page.  They are actively investigating this outfit according to her.  
I have dropped this like a hot potatoe, fortunately before spending any money for my $200,000.00 "grant".  
Investigate and make your own decisions.  I don't know or care if it is a scam, but count me as one who will never know because they are't getting my money.

Small Business Funding charges 2600 up front. You do need a business plan or they can write one for you for additional charges. I never signed up, because I read the small print on the contract. Additional fees may be charged.

Grants are real and there is money out there, but no company can say they guarantee you getting the money. At best they have a 15% chance of getting you grant money. I am sure some people get grant money, but those who have the best chances of receiving money would be non-profit organizations or small businesses owned and operated by women, minorities or veterans.
Just because a second person talks to you, does not mean a company is legitimate.

I have been a client with small business funding co for sbout 6 months now. At first i didn't believe in this program but now i do.I flew out to Henderson and met with an attorney and sat down to review the information. My first question was can't you take your fees to do the work out of the grant?  I found out that since this grant money is a taxed based incentive there is no way legally that the business can do that.  I have recieved 50% of the grant money i requested. They have another 6 months to come through with the rest which I believe they will. This program can work for you. Lisa K. Centralia WA

What is the name of your company...

Curious to know if anyone has heard anymore about this company.  I am a volunteer at a local little league and they have contacted us regarding grant money since we are a non profit organization for kids.  They said the money would be coming from Bill Gates Foundation and Kellogg.  Seems to good to be true to me so we are doing our research before we give them any money.  They are putting on the pressure saying they will have to give the money to another little league if we do not sign soon.

The more I look into this, the less I like it.  I had noticed how the employees of this company were posting on this site, and my first thought was - "how unprofessional is that??"  These people do not speak in a professional manner which strikes me as odd considering the business they are portraying they do.  I have never seen any legitimate business go to a thread on a website to defend themselves.  I have called a couple of the phone numbers and extensios listed on this thread and guess what...different people are now at those extensions!!  I think I know all I need to.

Check out Small Business Funding with the Better Business Bureau, their rating has gone down. They are receiving a lot of complaints and have an unsatisfactory rating.

Kellogg's and Bill Gates, I am sure they both give away grant money. However, a sales person from SBFC cannot say they are going to give you any money. Non-profit organizations can get grant money easier than a small business, but SBFC is not an up and up organization. There are grant writing companies out there that do their job. With SBFC, they are going to charge you to write a business plan after you sign up. They will charge an additional $4200 and more for that service. It is in the fine print of their agreement to do so.

Run everyone. I worked there. It's a scam, I left as soon as I found out!

No screening is ever done at Small Business Funding. It is a gimmick used to acquire your down payment.
Grants are real, however this company is only out to get your down payment. When I found out, I quit.
They will try to charge you later to write a business plan or try to make you become a non-profit, charging an additional fee of 4000 to 10,000.
There are legitimate companies, don't let this stop you, but SBFC is not one of them. They now have a unsatisfactory with the BBB and are looking at several lawsuits against them.

Yep. Classic bait and switch tactic. Foundations don't generally give grants to small businesses, just to nonprofits. Small businesses receive funding through investors or loans, but even investors don't give "free money." They buy a share of the small business.

After you gave them the required 2600.00, what else did they ask you to do?  They told me today that I was qualified for 100005.00.  Did you get the amount you asked for?  Could you please let me know?  I am hesitating to send them the retainer until I can find out a little more.

you got you money.. how do i know you are not an employee of that company posting to make your selfs look good. how long did it take..

if what you say is true then why do so many people dislike your company.. thet all can not be wrong. i have read hundreds of posts about your company and at least 90% are negative.. how do you explain that. contactg me at 352-470-9093 anytime

Stephanie, I worked there and like a couple other people on this board I can tell you it is a scam. You will never see your money, run like hell.
