I'm asking you to please stop calling my phone.

On 101209 at approximately 1600 I received a message on my phone from a Mr. Whitmore indicating that there is some conflicting information and that I needed to contact him prior to 6pm.  Well that didn't happen.  I did call 1 877 481 1141 the next day and spoke with an agent that identified a RAMS North America agency.  That's how he responded.  I asked them what they do that would prompt them to call my number and I was told they were not allowed to provide that information.  Interesting.  Not satisfied with this I called again in the hopes I could reach some supervisor.  The next agent was a female.  She indicated also that they were not allowed to provide information as to what they do.  I asked her if they were some "Secret Society" at which point I was cut off.  Interesting.  Then I researched this number only to come to the conclusion that they area collection agency.  So I called back and spoke with an Andrew.  When he answered I stated "You're a collection agency."  He indicated yes.  When I told him about the postings on this sight he indicated it's people who are not willing to pay their bills.  When I gave him the number i.e. 1 877 481 1141 he indicated that it was not their number.  When I told him that when I dialed this number resulting in speaking with him, he was surprised.  Hello.  Something is wrong in Denmark Sherlock

these clowns who called these various people are more than rude, they are obnoxious, crude and have no concept of common decency. One lady I tried to talk to became very irate when I asked her to simply send me something in writing with an exact amount they were claiming I owed and to whom the original account was owed. Of course, I don't owe anyone anything.

there is also a Mr. Marcus Whitmore using this phone number.  If it is a stolen number, there is no way we can report his company to the FTC, FCC, AG or anyone else, is there?

Got a call from them yesterday. they left a voicemail saying I needed to confirm some details. I called back and they answered "Law Offices" to which I  hung up....then I called back two seconds later and they answered "Transamerica" I asked the girl so which is it is this a law office or transamerica. She was literally stuttering. I asked what it was her comapny did to which she had no answer. Then I kept going on and on asking questions about this law office and she said maybe they were in the same building. I said oh really with the same phone number and you've never heard of them. The weird thing is at the end of my call she said she was calling for someone I had never heard of BUT on my voicemail they used my name. I believe they find out if people owe money (or even convince people who dont owe money that they do) and try to get them to make a payment to them knowing full well that it wont be credited to whatever fake account they claim they have on you. BEWARE!!!!  Those are just my thoughts.....but it sounds right to me.

I have also been receiving these calls, just as stated in your posts.  Marcus Whitmore can kiss my butt!!!!!  There are so many scams going on right now, its ridiculus!  What is this world coming to??? It's so sad, because there are so many people out there that are probably falling for this [***] and getting milked dry or their identity stolen.  I am glad there are posts like this people can look up and see what nonsense is going on before they take a chance on calling the number back...These people will get theirs! Jerks!

this dude left a message on my phone demanding a call back. hahaha...... he really thinks i would fall for his scam. is that the guy who sounds like someone from a southern state? He thinks his accent is very affective. He sounds like an uneducated dumb ass, who is trying to scam people.
