- AMAI got the message with urgent request I call the compliance department. Didn't make sense, since I don't have a BoA account. Spoke with woman who tried to extract last 4 digits of my SS#. Sounded off. She referred to me by my first name. When I resisted she urged me to go to the "banking center". Scams are getting more sophisticated. Be careful.

She did ask my name but she could not look anything up without a card # Again I do not have one. Michelle did say she was sorry and have a nice day . I would only wish somebody could do something about these calls This is were elder people get trapped and loose so much

- StevieGot the same call claiming to be BoA. Not sure if it was deliberate, the woman caller left a somewhat distorted message giving the impression of asking for someone I know. She said it was urgent matters. We do have BoA accounts and I thought of calling them back. Later, someone pointed out that number was mentioned in 800notes.
These scammers have "improved" as they probably figured there was no market pretending to be IRS. And they don't have heavy Indian accent anymore.- Caller: Pretending BoA
- Sharon| 1 replyReceived the same type of call. I do have a BofA account. Called the number on the back of my credit card and was told by the BofA person that, yes, they did try calling me this morning. They requested that I fax a W9 form to them. I will be visiting the local BofA office today to see exactly that they think they need from me.

- Walter SobchakSame deal as everybody else. She sounded very convincing, though. Beware!
- JulieI received a letter from BoA asking me to return a W9 form with personal information. Letter was only addressed to me with no acct# or last 4 digits of card. All my BOA accts. are joint so thought it was interesting - I took letter to my local bank. Today I received a phone call from this number - stating urgent matter - I was curious so I called to see what they said - they claimed to be BOA and tried to get my info. I told the guy I thought it was a scam, even though he kept telling me it wasn't. I told him it was fraud and I would be turning it into my bank and hung up.
- TCGot a call from this phone number, or at least that is the number that appeared on the caller ID. Looked up the number and selected to place it on my call blocker, and when it read back the number to me it was completely different. The actual phone number that the scammer called from was 567-218-1081, not the 877 number.
