Just received a call at work from Ms. Imgram at PDL Recovery stating that there is  a pending garnishment of my wages.  If I don't pay today, they would process it.  She couldn't tell me the name of the company that is supposedly processing the garnishment.

I got a call today from Mr. Garza at my workplace and he said they were going to garnish my wages. I have been through all of my paperwork and I can't find where I even had a loan with this group. I did call cash advance and they said I have had a loan back in 2008 but owe nothing. He said they sent it through my bank and I closed my account or stopped payment. I can't find anything. What am I suppose to do?

This is a scam....they called my husband's government job and we were told that he had a garnishment because of a payday loan that we never paid. Well I did my research and we have never missed a payment on our payday loans and I spoke with the companies in which we had loans. Come to find out we were never delinquent and we are all paid off. This of course was after my husband gave them our information. We did contact the bank before they could take any money but I seriously advise that no one talk to them and if you do threaten the FBI because they are fraud.

Do not give them any information they are fraud, anyone who can not provide you the company information of who they are representing then they are not a valid collection company. Do not give any bank information either. Contact your local policy department and file a report

Today I got a call from a Mrs Sott from a Payday Loan Recovery Group and she said the same things you all are saying. She said I needed to pay 300.00 by Sunday, 4/22/2012 or else I would have to face garnishment of my wages and they would suspend my driver licenses. How she got my bank account I don't know. But she told me to go to Walmart to purchase a money card and put the 300.00 on the card and call her back at 877-601-5871 ext 244. She sounded convincing but I don't think they can garnish your wages without proof nor can they suspend your license without  something more crutical. Someone tell me what can I do do to stop these types of threats. They really need to be STOPPED!

I received a call at my job from a girl named Lisa Perkins from Advanced Pay Day Plus and that they will garnish %25 of my wages from my account as of tomorrow 5/4/12 because I owe a pay day loan for the amount of $390 and if I didn't agree to it then they would automatically start taking my money and then I will then have to pay back $1000. I explained to her that I never received a pay day loan and that she didn't have any right in garnishing my wages because I never signed any type of form agreeing to this or agreeing to accepting a loan. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she stated that she is the supervisor. I asked where did she obtain my info and she said they do a skip trace (not sure what that means) and that's where she got my info from. I told her this is fraud and she has no right requesting money that I never received. I told her that I have proof that I never received a pay day loan and I have bank statements to prove if she wants to take me to court. I asked her to fax me the documents she has and she said that they only send this paper work out once and that she can't resend me any info. She also said that her office needed to close accounts so as of tomorrow they will start deducting that money. I did take a call back number from her which was 877-601-5871 ext 253. My job has caller ID so i wrote the number down which showed 630-486-1900.

Just got a call from a Brian Westbrook said it was regarding a wage garnishment.  When I told him the person he was asking for was not available he gave me a claim number and stated it was very important to have her call him back.  Would not leave the name of his company.   I know these are scammers trying to get money.  I got took once so now whenever I get these types of calls I always google the number to check it out.   Do not send anyone any money without paperwork.  These people will try and get you to give them your bank account number and sign some type of phony document and once they get your signature it's a done deal they will take your money and you will never hear from them again.

I received calls from a Ms. Parker asking if I could start making payments to a judgment against me. Little did she know I had already gotten garnishment papers so I already knew she was trying to scam me. Besides that she had given a cell phone number to call her back (HUGE RED FLAG) I dismissed the call and when she called back a couple weeks later I told her I had received the papers just to see what she would say. She acted surprised and avoided all questions. I have yet to hear back from her and what a shocker.... the number has been disconnected. Never give anyone your information people! Ask them the questions. It's your money! Even if the collection is legit, you still have a right to protect yourself.

To all beware of these fake debt collectors with a number of names.  First this is a debt recover company trying to collect a debt that has already been charged off by the loan company. Do not under any case give these crooks any bank info.  I would surgest that you file a compliant with the FTC and the attorney generals office for illegal debt collecting  practices.  As you probbly know when ever you ask them for proof of a debt they get rude.  My scammers name is a ms caright.  They cannot not garnish your wages because they have not actucal info about you loan.  So don't buy that B.S.

Got a call from a Ms. Leopard with Payday Loan Recovery. 877-601-5871 x 262. This is a SCAM!!!! I have never taken out a payday loan and I keep a very close eye on my credit report and nothing has shown up in collections. States the loan was taken out back in 2010.....Unfortunately, I have been getting these calls for almost 2 years now. No real way to get it to stop. I have filed police reports for my proctection should anything ever happen from any of this. But there's really nothing the police for any other agency can do as they usually run into dead ends trying to track these companies down. They use "ghost" Tax ID #s and the numbers are usually calling you from out of the country but are routed and re-routed to come in like they are coming from somewhere within the US. Set up a fraud alert on your SSN from Social Security Admin if you are really concerned. That way, anytime your SSN is ran for a credit check it will pend whoever is requesting it until the SSA contacts you to find out whether it's a legitimate inquiry. Also, if you have young children, protect their identies by FREEZING their SSN's through SSA. So many children's SSN's are being compromised for years before you ever find out about it. :) Good Luck everyone!

Yesterday/Thursday a.m. a message was left on our answering machine.  I did not listen to it until Friday a.m.  It was from PDLR, no contact name, but an extension and file number were left.  Message left for husband that if he didn't call he would be garnished the next morning.

I called this morning...the receptionist only knew the company name was PDLR...she didn't know what the initials stood for.  I was transferred Jason Lock who said it was Payday Loan Recovery Group.  He said he was holding papers to be filed today if no payment was made...that would garnish his wages and there would be a suspension of his driver's license....and were we aware of that.  I stated we had paid all our debts and hadn't been notified of any such activities.  He said it was an online payday loan that was never paid as of 2010...probably taken out in November of 2009.  I finally got him to say the company name...he said it was Payday One.  He used our bank name and said they had tried to process payment and hadn't been able to.  There were bad check laws and they were going to proceed with charges of breech of contract and attempt too fraud.  He warned that we should make payment this morning before he signed off on all these charges and got the legal process rolling.

I knew that he was the one that was fraudulent...but he didn't know that I knew...I should have laughed in his face!!!  Suspension of driver's license over a payday loan!!!  Hahaha....what country does he live in?  But honestly, the invasion of privacy and peace and harmony of our home and job is so intense...such an onslaught of these types of calls...it leaves one shaken.

Thank goodness for sites like this ... one simply needs to get a grip on the reality that these type of calls are fraudulent.  They call at work and home and harrass and threaten.  We have received these types of calls for well over a year...I have kept recordings and amazingly, many of the voices are the same...different names...different numbers.  I don't understand why something can't be done by the authorities to track down these types of creeps.  God forbid anyone actually gives them any information and/or money.  Report and keep on reporting....the squeeky wheel gets the grease.  I wish I could track down these people myself....hmmm, I imagine I would be in jail for harrassment instead of them.  Best I keep myself venting here on site.  Good luck to all of you.  Keep the faith against these manipulating deceitful monsters.
