The same thing happened to me.

I too got repeated calls from Apex. I have no "case" with them. They had my current address, an address from 15 years ago and obviously my cell number. They do NOT have my home number or work number. They claimed I had a credit card debt and that they were collecting such debt. I had no such card from the bank they said issued it. They also said I made payments on the card, but stopped suddenly. When I asked for proof of this and from what bank the payments were made from they said I could tell "the judge" otherwise I'd be liable for the debt and court.debt costs. Don't fall for this scam folks. Call the authorities or lawyer immediately to report them.

So the number came up with the description "As Anonymous" and the number showed as Restricted.. as soon as i answer with my company's greeting the caller simply said "Joe please" ... i ask which one and he gives me a last name...i pause to see if any more info will be given without me asking but ..Nope..so i ask who is calling and he tells me (in a tone that indicates i should know and how dare i ask) that he is "Mark McKenna..Apex.."   so again i pause, and playing dumb ask if "apex" is the company name... he abruptly tells me "yes" so i ask "what is this regarding?" and he hung up..i do not get telemarketers like this who are so incredibly Rude beyond words and think that acting like my line if questioning AS THE RECEPTIONIST is so out of line...i do not get how they EVER get past the person who answers the phones

Did anyone get a letter in the mail from them? I did but I’m still suspicious of what’s going on. I don’t remember the debt they are Calling me about that was supposedly from before 2008.

Is this a scam? I got a call saying I owe something from 2001 and I don’t remember the card.  They threatened me with court. I signed a document and gave my credit card numbers ?

this company took one payment from my account for a debt i have and i'm trying to pay off but the phone # i've called is not in service. I dont remember what account so I will have to wait and see if the company I owe calls me be careful with the company you have to pay back the phone # i've called is 877-620-0824 or 844-813-1676

I received a demand letter from Apex Capital Consulting in March of this year.  They were demanding payment of $22,000 for a credit card debt they claimed was incurred by me from MBNA America Bank in 2006.  The letter threatened court action if I didn't pay.  I spoke to Jessica Dominguez of Apex on March 27.  She told me that if I didn't agree to pay Apex the firm would begin litigation to collect the amount due.
     In a letter to them dated April 9, I responded by denying the claim.  I stated that I never had an account with the credit card number they gave me with MBNA.  I also stated that in any case, a debt incurred in 2006 was beyond the statute of limitations to collect now.  Furthermore, I referred to this website which provided very useful information about Apex.  I then challenged them to sue me since I knew I would surely win.  I told them that I was retired and more than willing to defend myself pro se.  Legal representation would cost me nothing but they would have to pay for their own legal representation at great cost.  Lastly, I informed them that I was considering filing for bankruptcy in a few months.  Since I owned very little their debt would be discharged without them getting a penny.  I concluded my letter by stating, "Please do commence litigation to collect this alleged debt, since it would be amusing for me to contest it and win."
I have not heard from then since then. Obviously, their intent was to frighten and bamboozle people into paying debts that they probably didn't owe.  When someone fights back, Apex gives up and looks for someone easier to frighten.  This proves the old saying, "The best defense is a good offense."

If you sent them a letter, telling us the address you sent it to would be very helpful

Did you ever find out if this was an actual scam? I have gotten calls from them stating i owe on an account and I'm concerned. Any advise would be great

Great idea! Wish I thought of that. I googled this company as I've gotten calls from them the same as everyone here. Apparently this has been going on a long time.. They have BBB complaints but they answer those as if they were a REAL company. The responses are the same stating"account closed" once the person launches a complaint. It is indeed out and out fraud but a very clever one at that. They make painstaking efforts to conceal themselves and their legitimacy.

The BBB reviews are without a doubt fake.,..the complaints are real as I filed one. The response sounds real but I can assure you they are not as no resolution was made on my end. They said They contacted me via email ..they never did that nor did they review anything.  They write that to keep the BBB rating and people believing it.

I'm glad to have come across this website as I googled the phone number after being called by an individual named Taylor Sheilds  and was urged to do a Docusign. I'm divorced and truly couldn't recall a phone bill from 2003! It made no sense that I would not have recieved something in the mail. But the debt seemed plausible as bills were in my name. Fake reviews and definetly scare tactics breing used.

I filed a complaint with BBB as of today after seeing the information posted here and my complaint in BBB was given an auto response. I hope BBB looks into it. I have the phone number which is 866 636 9503. Email came from t.shields and it was a division to withdraw money from my account. I didn't sign it or give information. Their address is in the internet as well as a website. It all looks so real but what caught my attention was that the debt was very old and they refused to mail me the original debt. I was afraid of a judgement but realized that it didn't make sense.

What do you expect a worthless, toothless organization like the BBB to do about them? And what does this number have to do with anything? You state your call was from a completely different number.

I also filed an online complaint to BBB. Another avenue is to complain to FTC and also Google how to report a scam or read the threads here as there is alot of helpful information. In regards to the phone numbers there are several but the one that was emailed to me along with the Docusign pdf was the 866 636 9503 but the orginal call came from this 877 620 0824 which when I teied to call back is now disconnected? In any event for anyone who is dealing with these horrible people it is safe to say its a scam. Do not pay them. Do not Docusign. And Do not be bullied or frightened as they keep saying legal action will be taken.

The address in the Docusign and email I rec'd in what appears to be a fraudulent business letterhead is  Apex Capital Consuling LLC 27475 Ynez Rd STE 230 Temecula CA 92591 ..but I can't be certain its the same address as the one the other person mailed too.

My English is not so good but I had a call..  was from a woman who I do not know name and then they let me speak to a Spanish lady Jessica Dominguez. They say I go to court. She has a number 951 412 2306. She take my money and will not call me back.
