Annoying free phone offer from Sprint. Is there a way to opt-opt to avoid these interruptions? I have a cell phone to keep up with clients, not to be bored to death by these [***] when I am trying to get work done.

And why does the caller ID NOT say "Sprint"?

2:28 PM eastern. I say hello a bunch of times, but no response. Hung up after 20 or so seconds; never heard a voice.

Received a missed call from the same number. Great to know I'm not the only person receiving a call from this mysterious number.

Missed a call at 9:46am. They didn't leave a msg.  It is nice to know that I'm not the only one who got this call. They always freak me out and I wonder what kind of freak is calling me.  I don't answer if I don't know the number.

Just received a call.  I answered but no one was there.

this number called me at 9:30 am and left a long message with no one talking, just background noise and voices. The number called me again at about 10:45pm and left no message.

this stupid number just woke me up but why did feel the need to google it?this is wierd

called on 3/20 at 10:55am and this morning at 9:42 waking me up. I work nights. I called back ready to freak out on who answered but just like all the previous posts, it is automated. I pressed 6 but I don't feel like that's enough. I want to give a piece of my mind to an actual sprint rep. So that I will do. I really liked Sprint up to this point.

Incoming call 3/21/07 12:44 pm CST.  I didn't answer and let it ring for 30 seconds.  No Message.  I called back and let it ring 20 times.  No answer.  I'm fairly certain they have called before and I have answered but there was no reponse from the other end of the line.

I received a call today @ 3:00 pm EST...did not answer...

I just received a phone call from this number 877 671 1851! First time I am going to report this number to the phone co and have it called trace! Ahhh telemarketers find a new way to harass people

It's definitely Sprint. They have called twice but left no message. I called the number back and got a recording saying that they were trying to inform me of some new promotions. Press 5 if you're interested in the promotions, press 6 if you're not interested in receiving promotional phone calls, or something to that extent.

Oh, and to "eightsevensevenisjerseycity" - 877 is a toll-free prefix and is used nationwide, NOT only in Jersey City. Learn your facts before posting.

This phone number is on my caller ID several times a day all times of the day. Even in the evening time. When the answering machine picks up they will never leave a message. This number also calls early in the evening.

This 877-671-1851 called me 3 times now. I have contacted sprint several times at this point and these [***] keep calling me. SPRINT SUCKS!!!! I have never received worse service for ANYTHING. I will discontinue using them after I get finished with the current [***] plan i am using.  PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP WITH SPRINT PHONE SERVICE!!!! They will tack on charges to your bill for no reason, unless you call them and ask, it will continue to increase.  They will not help out unless you are opening a new plan and do not offer any customer service whatsoever...
good luck if you are a sprint customer. I will continue to file my complants with the better business bureau www.bbb.com, and would encourage anyone else to do the same.

This number keeps calling me and when I answer no one is there.  They dont leave a message if I miss it either.  

This number has called me twice in the late morning/early afternoon hours. I have never answered and they left no message.

A lady called me from this number just the other night...She said she was from sprint/nextel and that she had a very special offer for me.  After listening to her spiel, and asking some questions..the whole thing seemed VERY fishy.  She used the wrong sprint terminology (based on what I have heard from actual Sprint Reps--Ive been a customer for about five years now), she knew NOTHING about me and my sprint plan, there was some guy in the background telling her what to say...and several other things that didn't seem legit.  I even called her out on it and said I did not believe she was a legit sprint rep--when I said that she got really weird...and said whatever the guy in the background was telling her to say--she tried to get me to talk to her "supervisor" but I refused, and told her that if I did not believe that she's legit, I deffinitely won't believe her "supervisor" is.  

I have been meaning to call Sprint to complain about this phone call, but I have not been able to get around to it.  If this lady REALLY is from Sprint---then they really need to start re-thinking about WHO they hire.

But honestly, this call seemed like a scam...I wouldn't give out ANY information to them, especially passwords---like someone previously said they did.

When Sprint has called me in the past to offer me services for being a valued customer---they KNEW about me, my plan AND my phone...before i had to give them ANY of my information....

first call: 3/20/07 at 10:01am, said it's sprint and asked me if i was authorized to make some payment or something; i thought it was weird because he used the word "authorized" so i said no...

third call: 3/22/07 at 9:10am, did not answer
