This number has been calling me on my cell phone everyday. I don't pick up calls from number I do not know...

I get a call and answered.  To my surprise there was a man that wanted to know what kind of plan that I had and asked if I was interested in adding another line.  I asked the man who he was with and he refused to tell me.  Thought it was ironic that he would be selling additional lines but doesnt have my phone plan info.  I immediately told him I was not interested.  This morning I got another call from them.  They never leave messages either.  I call the number back and press 6 which is the option you pick if you are not interested.  Doesnt seem to stop the calls!  Do I have to change my number?

yeah...so right after I posted my last  comment--I checked out the Do Not Call Registry website---To first check if I was on that list (it's been so long that I couldn't remember! haha) but then when it confirmed that I was, I filed a complaint about the phone number...it SAYS they are going to report it to the necessary law officials, and investigate...or something like that. I have seen that a lot of people on here have said they ARE on that list as well, and if you are, I encourage you to file a complaint! Maybe if more people complain about it, the investigation will dig deeper--and find out WHO these people really are and WHAT they are really all about...put these people to a STOP!

I don't know, it's just a suggestion.  I personally don't believe that these people really are from Sprint...and IF they are...then I am going to have to start thinking about a new provider!

I get out of work this morning and turn my phone on (I usually leave it off while at work, had it off while sleeping most the day before too). I get a voice mail notification that comes through so I check my voice mail. I have two messages from two missed calls. Both from 877-671-1851 at 11:43am on 3/22/07 and again later at 7:43pm. The first one was the weirdest. It was somebody talking through some voice disguiser (pretty deep creepy sounding voice) or someone who recorded their voice then either played it in slow motion or in slo-mo and backwards, because I can't even make out what they are saying. It was a short message, only about 5 seconds or so.
The second message went on for about 5 minutes or so, basically I think until the voicemail software cut it off for being too long. At first there was a bunch of background noise, like commotion and people talking, like it was at a busy restaurant or bar. Then after about 30 seconds or so of that, it got real quiet, and every so often there was a static type noise, the exact same noise every time, this went on for a while, then eventually it went back to the crowded sounding background noise again, then after a little bit back to the quiet and static sounds before it finally ended.
I just called and spoke to a Sprint rep and she said this was the first she had personally heard this complaint but that she had a had a complaint about a number from someone else recently, couldn't remember if it was the same one or not. She said if it happens again to Sprint again (the real Sprint) and they can block that 877 number from calling you, so it won't even come through to your phone.
While reading through a bunch of posts on this page I don't think I noticed one that said they had received a voicemail, well I did, and it sure as hell wasn't any kind of sales pitch or professional sounding by any stretch of the imagination. It's not Sprint, unless maybe they got some psycho working there that noone knows about. I can't stand calls like this that I don't know who they are and what they're getting at.
Whoever's making these calls are peices of [***] who have problems and nothing better to do with their pathetic lives than to spend all kinds of time and effort calling tons of people for nothing more than to know they're making people wonder and they probably feel some type of excitement when they go on the internet and read posts of all the people they've called who are wondering who they are. Report these [***] to as many places as you can, then call Sprint and have the 877 number blocked from reaching your phone.

I've got two calls from this phone number. Like I always look up phone number that I don't know, I did it and found this. @_@ who is doing it?

I had been recieving numerous calls from this number.  I just called it back and it is sprint's way of getting out promotions.  If you call it back and then listen for less than a minute, they ask if you want to recieve anymore promotions.  If you don't then you press 6.

They've been calling me twice a day, once around 9:30 am and then again at around 3:30-4:30 pm EST. I just called back and pressed 6 so we'll see what happens with that.

Good thing my contract is up in two months. Very annoying!

Been getting calls from this number and haven't answered it b/c i did't recognize the number. Today 3/23/07 at 10:45am they called and I finally answered it... They said they were with sprint and wanted me to add a phone to my line... Couldn't tell if it was a scam but there was a lot of back round noise that made think twice about talking to them...

I received the same calls. At least once everyday for the last five days, sometimes more. It's driving me crazy!!

I've been getting one to two calls a day from this number.  Same thing as other comments on here...I answer and there's no one there and they hang up.  I've stopped answering, but I wish they'd stop calling!  I do have Sprint for my cellular service, so it must be the same deal as with other people on here.

Several calls the last few days.  No message.

That is the 800 number to Sprint/Nextel - they are calling to sell you more crap for your phone plan.

Missed the call at 9:02am, 4/4/07. Never called back cause don't know them.

Got a call from 877-671-1851. I picked it up and it was silent.

Called on 4/4/07 at 3:47 pm - when I answered, no one spoke.  After a few seconds, I hung up.

I got two calls from this number.
But I use a caller ID blocker and identifier, works great but no message left. I got this device to solve this problem and log the calls.
