Isn't it ironic that Sprint calls wanting to to talk to you or a member of your family when it is nearly impossible to talk to a live person at Sprint/Nextel if you should need help or service?  A communication company you can't communicate with!

This isn't Sprint calling. After receiving mine and carefully not providing any personal information but determining they had some accurate information about my current plan (number of lines) that they shouldn't have: they either guessed or got into my records somehow. (I have an unusual number of lines.)

I immediately called Sprint (*2) and had them check up on it. The number isn't known to Sprint. When I called the number back, the recording said it was "Sprint", but of course, anyone could create such a message.

With the exception of the broken English and the inability to deviate from their script, along with my assessment that they conducted the call overall in a manner foreign to any way Sprint has acted in the past 10 years, they're pretty clever.

    Don't get scammed, folks.

A short spelling lesson for you:

there - as in over there, another place, a location
their - as in it belongs to them "it is their phone" "it is their problem"
they're - as in they are "they're just trying to make a living" "they're gonna call"

then - as in  "then leave a message" a time marker or or used with a sequence of events
than - as in "better than"  Unlike then, than is not related to time.  Than is used in comparative statements such as "I can spell better than you" "today was warmer than yesterday"

Just sayin...if you don't want to appear uneducated.

Hey "Spellcheck" it is spelled saying..noy sayin. please spellcheck spellcheck LOL

Same as the other listed here, called me I called back and ask what they wanted, two times. Different foreign accents bumbled with the offer and asked for my account Pin...As if.

I doubt that this is anything more than a third party marketing company hired to make an upgrade quota.

If one wants to appear educated, one must know the difference between correct spelling and using the proper homonym. Choosing the correct "there" is not a question of spelling, but, using the proper homonym. There is the classic homonym..

Additionally, one would appear better educated if one used punctuation properly. Ending sentences with periods, grouping words and ideas properly with commas, starting lists with colons or, semi-colons, would be a start.

sprintman might not be a sprint employee, but even if he is it is a job and right now they aren't easy to come by.  I would hate to have to telemarket for a living and have to deal with people.  I seldom answer numbers I don't know.  I look them up.  Maybe it would bother me if I didn't have unlimited but then again when I had a plan with minutes I just didn't answer.  It is nice to know where the number is from

I'm not a developer or affiliated with this app. I use a free call blocking app on my Android called Call Control to block private and unknown callers. I needed this type of app for my teen's phone. Anyway, I found out today the app blocked this number from calling me. Very nice for me. There are a bunch of apps that do similar, you can pick your own favorite.

Did Sprint give this idiot my number??  This is my cell phone being abused and I can always switch providers if I am not protected from these callers.  I have had more than my share and refuse to answer them.

Number just called me, I answered and heard a middle-eastern voice and hung up, then immediately searched online. You can block calls through the Sprint website and it is effective immediately.

    DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM!

My husband received a call from this number earlier today, as well as a call from 802-949-8989. I have already typed the information in to report a call from that #.

The call from 877-671-1851 was a woman on the line, claiming to be with Sprint. She told him that they wanted him to change his calling plan, and then tried to get personal information out of him. Luckily, he hung up at this point.

His call from 802-949-8989 was a recording that claimed to be Sprint, and wanted my husband to confirm his identity.  The recording said something close to "If you are John Doe, press 1" (they actually say your name though). At that point, he hung up.

I think it is interesting that he received two different calls, from two different numbers, trying two different tactics. He received one other call - I am going to look up the other phone number and then post it here, so the rest of you can see other potential numbers that may try to call you :)

these people call and then hang up. This is Sprint telemarketers. I called this number back, got Sprint and was sent to #6 where I told them to put my number on the Do Not Call List and if they do call again, I'm cancelling my contract for harrassment. Will see what happens.
