I got a call from this numbre and did not answer because i did not recognize

Am not a Sprint customer and they are calling my home number. Cancelled my service with Nextel because of lousy service and now they are calling two and three times a day.

877-671-1851 IS SPRINT! Go figure, I signed up for the "block telemarketers", and now the only telemarketer that is calling me, and I might add DAILY, is Sprint. Are they just trying to use up my minutes? Why aren't they under the same rules as other telemarketers?
I finally called the # back, with trepidation, and it was Sprint...listen to the message, and then press 6 when prompted to..this will take you off their list. I also filed a "report unwanted calls" (at the top of this page) and expressed my concern that Sprint is not following the telemarketers rules.

This # called at 8:23 pm mar. 12th and 12:16 pm mar 13th

Received several phone calls from this number.  I have never answered.  Stupid Sprint.

Got a call at 3:11am CST. I said hello and they hung up.

Call several times a day, never a response if answered.

they called me each morning last 2 mornings. i ignored it, and have now set a "custom ring tone (/dev/null) for that #.

I've received 3 calls from this phone number. No one leaves a message. I received calls on 3/9 @ 11:25 am, 3/13 @ 10:01 am and 3/14 @ 9:50 am.

All they said was "Hello.. this is sprint *static*... hello?  hello?  hello?"
and eventually hung up.  Did not sound very professional at all, I doubt it is really Sprint, but probably some kind of scam.

Apparently its Sprint, in my case asking me if I wanted to add a line of service, I said no thanks and hung up

I just that call - 877-671-1851 today (3/14/07) at 2:20 PM but I didn't pick it up. Rang about 2 times and then hung up. Googled the number and found this site.

I've been getting calls from 877-671-1851 to my cell phone at less twice a week! I never answer the phone since I don't know anyone from 877 number. It's annoying.

It's sprint offering a deal on a second line of service.  I just called them back and a recording tells you to press 6 if you want to opt out of the offer.

I've recieved several calls from this number, but I never picked up.  I don't like to answer my calls when a number is unfamiliar with me, especially if I don't recognize the area code.  Anyway, I'm kind of stumped because my number has been put on the "cannot" call list for telemarketers.  if this is a telemarketing call from sprint (my phone service) can they do that?

Well I have received about 3 calls from this number and just decided to call the number back, here its Sprint calling to see if you want to add a line of service to your account or purchase other promotions..............  I hit no thanks and hopefully it will end all of these calls!

got three phone calls, after indicating I did not want service, someone called again and they hung up on me as I proceeded to tell her about my previous efforts to get them to stop. I the emailed Sprint Customer SErvice who proceeded to tell me that my particular phone could not stop Spam calls, completely missing the  point of my complaint. That SPRINT was spamming me, and that the caller hung up on me and that they needed to fix this bs.

I have got a call from this number several time's and every time I answer nobody answers 2/27/07 12:30, 3/01/07 4:59, 3/14/07 2:41

Sprint repeatedly calls my cell.  The game is always the same.  No message left and a hang up if I answer.  A call back to the number is an automated solicitation.  I believe this is a loophole they are exploiting in the cell solicitation rules from the FTC...  You don't hear the solicitation unless you, by your own actions, fall for their phishing scheme.  Pressing '6' to cease solicitations has no effect, near as I can tell, because they keep calling me despite that.  Their customer service reps tell you to register your phone number with the donotcall registry, which is bogus advice as cell phones are not acknowledged by the registry:

I can't imagine why they think this is a good idea.  It can only make their customers angry.
