I get calls regularly for my husband which I have been separated from for about 5 years.  Haven't laid eyes on him so I am wondering if he gave the number out or if they just looked it up as we have had it for 28 years. It's usually a recording that says, This is a call for 'Name', if this is 'Name' press 1, To put this call on hold while you get 'Name' to the phone press 2, if 'Name' is not available but you can get a message to 'Name' then press 3.
I have pressed them all, 1 makes you wait forever but I have told the lady that we split several years ago and can't imagine how my number was given for him. She said that she will look into it and have it removed, then they call right back the very next day.  
They quit calling for about a month and here they go again!  I think that I am going to start recording those calls and see if I can't get a little $ for all of the Bull [***] that they put me through knowing that he had not been to this house in 5 years.  I am going to talk with my attorney buddy about putting a lawsuit against them and then post it here and see how many other folks want to join in it with me.  If we sue these stupid folks then maybe they will understand that we are taking their time and money and will stop. I can't think of any other way, they don't seem to understand plain English.
I should tell them if they want money from him to stand in line, as I haven't received a penny in child support, nor has he even seen HIS 16 year old daughter in 5 years!
They both are a pain in my tail!  I wish that he was dead, then my daughter could 'move on'. Now she wonders what she has done and why Daddy don't love her.  What a crock of [***] for my baby to deal with because he can't control his manhood! You ain't lived till you get a call that says, "You don't know me but we have a mutual friend who thinks that you need to know that your husband has another family set up in St. Louis, Missouri. Just a little digging and I found a receipt from Zales in our town for a diamond ring!  No kidding! Thank Goodness God loves me, for if he disliked me one bit, I'd be in the crazy house for sure!

When this number was on the ID # 877-741-4113 I hit the answer button and let them listen to the Weather Channel for over 1 hour and a half.. Hope they enjoyed hearing the weather report lol

just tell them they have the wrong number if they refuse to tell you anything and they keep calling they called me today and I didn't answer due to I was at home but I have been getting weird phone calls from different numbers saying they want money but yet cant tell me from where they are from how much and why some are scams I know and some are just people who has nothing better else to do but to waste your time

i always answer and no 1 says nothing im tired of this number calling my cell just hate it i wish they would just say something

A guy name Tyrone called from this number asking for my mom I said in regards of... He said ma'am it's a business matter said we don't do business matters at my house and hung up but haven't got a called yet be 3 days today and they would call every day  normally

Yes, appears they have a problem under FDCPA. Using deceptive and unfair business practices / tactics of calling, harassing, abusing, family and friends from their "associated lists." They have called me numerous times this week but this last call I received when I said hello the man on the other end was talking to someone else and said "I'm not Cuban, I'm taller than that" and laughed . When I said hello again he hung up....Evrytime I say hello they won't answer me or when they do and start explaining who they are I tell them I don't need their services and to take me off their list..these people are persistent even though I tell them they are a scam!!!

Rachel at I select Medical care wanting to sell you insurance. Can we not stop all these calls?  I get 10-15 calls a day from many telemarketers or scammers.  Do not call list does not work.  I have contacted FTC and does not work.

If they call again inform them that any further contact will be referred to the A.G. O. and a fraud lawsuit will be filed. Also you can file a lawsuit for harassment as they have been informed that they have the wrong party and still attempt to contact you. The penalty in Ohio is like $10,000 for each instance.

I called the president over and over got his voice mail, didn't say anything, going to make sure his voice l mail is too full to get a real message. They keep calling and not saying anything. they have no business with me. you should do the same if they are bothering you;

Company president is Neil Koonce, his extension is 7004. Try calling him a few dozen times and see how he likes it. He is out of the country now but how great would it be for him to have hundreds of hang up calls when he gets back!

I got a call from this number a couple of days ago when I was away from home. Left no message. If it is a debt collector it explains why my caller ID simply says "Scrooge" LOL.

called asking for my mother's name, I advised them she is deceased and can I help them. They then asked am I the person in charge of her estate, I said she had no estate. I said to them may I ask who I'm speaking with, she asked me who I was, I asked who she was.. she said if you don't feel comfortable talking to me I understand but are you a family member, I said well you must not feel comfortable telling me who you are so why would I tell you so of course she hung up.

call me once a month... asking for some dude with an Hispanic name.  He has a bunch of unpaid debt... apparently hospital related.   I am Anglo... I tell them in perfect English who I am, how long I have had the number and that I do not have any debt.  Have even turned the number over to the NC Attorney General 3 times... Roy Cooper supposedly goes after these bogus calls.  Someone just loves to dial.  Should fire half their staff and get real dead beats to call.

I got a call from 1-877-741-4113 and they keep calling. we have no hospital bills that we owe but they keep calling all times of day and night. gets nerve racking. they will only talk to my husband. somethings fishy about this. they also call from different numbers some times they hang up on you.

first call i received said they were collecting a debt on my son--gave his name and what hospital..wanted me to verify his DOB and last for of SSN...refused and said i would call the hospital...which i owe nothing to...now they call me at least 2X per week--it rings one time and hangs us

Thanks for posting this info.  I'm in Ohio too, and keep getting these medical "debt collection" calls as well, even though I have no outstanding bills.  I wasn't aware that the fine was $10,000, or that they can be reported to the Attorney General's office.  I thought it was just the FTC.  I got one of these while I was in CT for a training seminar, and answered.  I told her that I was away from home, and didn't have time to deal with whatever she was referring to, apparently some medical bill I don't even have.  This was Thursday, and I told her I would deal with it on Friday when I was back at home.  She kept pushing for me to make some sort of payment that day, even after I told her I wanted to check this out with the hospital, and didn't have anything but an emergency credit card with me.  The way these people push and push for you to make "some type of payment right now" raises red flags for me, even if I DID have an outstanding bill.  I'm disabled, and am on SSDI, so these people trying to collect from me is a definite scam, since I don't even pay for medical treatment at the moment.
