Calsl my cell several times a day, on a callback comes back now to Midland Credit Management, have no dealings with these people. Added them to my block list on my cell. Had my same cell number for 4 years now. Never left a message. Someone who is in debt just gave them my cell number, now I have to be harassed by there calls. Since I blocked them a few days ago mo more calls. I do not owe any debt from them.

thank for that info they call me 10 times a day asking for debra sanders who is not me and keeps telling me they take the number off the list but for a year has not so I called the president and left him the number of my lawyer is going to sue them if i get one more phone call

This number has been calling me at least once a day, sometimes twice a day. I use the "Mr Number" app on my phone which picks up & then hangs up on them without giving them the opportunity to leave a message. You'd think after 3 months of this crap they'd get the hint... Apparently not. Thanks to the previous poster who suggested reporting them. I'm sure a $10,000 fine or two will fix this. Maybe one day I'll screw around with them & tell them my new number is (202) 252-1900.

This is a collection agency from Knoxville Tn. . , collecting on behalf of Greenville hospital in my case.  My credit is perfect except for hospital bills.  There are several agencies collecting for the hospital with some being bogus.  The people with med-I credit in N.C. are the rudest people on earth and hateful.  Health care recievable are some of the nicest people I have ever meet.  I have learned with them as long as I keep in contact with them they will work with me.  In case you are wondering if I work for them, I don't . this number has called me many times since i got my home phone first they were asking for a helen or a john and i have told them this is no longer their number and to stop calling me well tonight i got a call at 9 pm and this time they asked for my boyfriends deceased grandfather and i told them there was no way he gave them this number as a contact for the simple fact that he died 2 yrs ago and we just got this number last june please tell me there is something i can do to make these people stop calling me

When I answered this call they asked for me.  When I answered that I was speaking the woman on the line said she was calling on a personal business matter but wouldn't tell me who she was or what business she was calling on behalf of and started trying to get me to verify my information.  I told her I wasn't verifying anything if she couldn't tell me who she was.  She said she wasn't trying to get me to give the information, she had it she just wanted to verify it.  When I mentioned that she could be a scammer trying to verify info off the Internet she said she would have the account locked.  I'm concerned about whether someone has my personal info that shouldn't.  If it is a bill collector then they should be able to tell me what they are calling in regards to before they ask for verification of any personal info.

Debt collector looking for Jason Stoots or something like that , have told them 25 times they have the wrong # and to stop calling this number ... they continue to call ... Real Idiots ... So I cuss them and go on my merry way  :)

They call my cell phone 3 - 6 times a day!  That I know they can not do. Their phone won't connect the phones so I can't talk to anyone.

Got a call from these people, and I made the mistake of answering the phone, and the [***] on the other end was so hateful and rude, I told her where to stick it, and hung up. She wanted my checking acct. number. Be careful of these people, they just want to intimidate you, probably criminals and its the only job they can find. Do not talk to them or give them any information whatsoever. Crooks.

I answered after these people calling my cell numerous times. She asked for me by name, I said this is she. She asked me to confirm my birth date. I asked what is this regarding. She says she must verify the birth date before she can release any info. I tell her I will not give her any info until I know who this is & what it is regarding. She says thank you & hangs up.

This number keeps calling me two or three times a day, really tired of it!! They said I owed a bill for labs that I have NEVER HAD!! I have contacted my insurance company they don't even have any labs for that amount coming through and also this company could not even tell me where I had supposedly had these done at!!! PLEASE STOP CALLING ME!!!

Got a collection notice from Health Care Receivables Gp requesting payment for medical treatment for a family member at a hospital in S. Texas.  It looks official enough except that my family member was never treated at the facility mentioned.

The person you replied to posted in 2010.  You should not have received a letter for someone else stating that they owed money (unless you were the guarantor).  This is a violation of the law.   If you did indeed get a letter from these people, this is what it was required to contain by law:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Whether it did or didn't you should do this:

You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (if the debt is yours or you agreed to be responsible for it), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested).  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state:  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Keeps calling and hangs up.....never speaks

They blocked my computer.  Fortunately, I know how to close them out.  They said they were from Microsoft and that I had a virus.  The computer told them...How would they know unless they hacked.  Anyway, they said they could fix it for me for $89.95.  It's a scam.  That number also has healthcare receivables, IRS scams, etc.
