BEWARE !!!!!  They show up on Caller ID as "Out of Area"

They want to sell you advertising time on a radio station. A Mitch Ross called yesterday to sell us advertising for KJMU Radio Station. I tried calling the radio station but every number I have for them has been disconnected.

The name when you call the number is "Multi Media Customer Service.

I left them a message telling them the radio station no longer exists and I will turn them in to the FCC and when we get their bill we will submit that as well.

FOLLOW UP

Around 7:30 AM, I called Multi Media and asked for the contact numbers for the KJMU radio station.

Around 8:45 AM I called the number back and it is disconnected. It is a scam.

Do not have anything to do with anyone who calls from this number.

This has been turned in to the FCC.

Calls every day, leaves no message.

This number called about a week and a half ago claiming to be working with a local radio station.  The station in question is 2 blocks away.  When they do a promo and want to involve us the GM comes and asks me himself.  He is a friend and we usually end up talking about movies and video games for about half an hour.  The caller brutally mangled the pronunciation of our city's name (an American Indian word).  My friend the GM of the station in question doesn't know anything about this number or this joint venture.  It's a small Christian radio station.  My friend is the only full-time employee and he's the General Manager and morning DJ.  He knows everything that has anything to do with the station.

The same number called again today and asked for me by my first name as if they knew me.  Seems they must've written it down from the last time they called.  I was out though and they did not leave a message, but I recognized the number from the caller ID and pulled up my old e-mail to the station GM and sure enough, it was the same number.  These people are committing outright fraud.  Don't even talk to them

This person just called and asked for my boss by name. When I asked who was calling, he said his name was "Jim HANDWORKER". I started laughing and left him on hold! What a tool this guy is! Total scam.

I just got a call from these people on my cell phone...I didn't answer it but I just called it back! I am not a business owner....just a paralegal....

Called 4 times yesterday - called again this morning when I told him the marketing director was not available this gentleman beat around the bush not wanting to give me any information.  VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

THIS IS A LEGITIMATE BUS. WHO DOES THE COMMUNITIES THEY CALL A SERVICE BY GETTING VITAL INFO AND PHONE NOS. OUT TO THE PUBLIC IN ORDER TO KEEP THE COMMUNITY SAFE FROM CHILD PREDATORS, GIVE TRIBUTE TO OUR TROOPS, URGE THE COMMUNITY TO DONATE BLOOD AND MUCH MORE AS WELL AS GET THE SPONSERS NAME AND SPECIALTY OUT TO THE PUBLIC IN ORDER TO GENERATE BUS. FOR THEM AS WELL AS PUT THEIR BUS. NAME IN A POSITIVE LIGHT. SO IF THEY DO A GREAT JOB FOR BUS. AND MAYBE SAVE A LIFE OR TWO OR SHOW SUPPORT FOR OUR FIGHTING MEN AND WOMEN. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT?

ACTUALLY, IT'S JIM HANDWERKER AND IT'S JEWISH YOU IDIOT.

I saw the number come up on caller ID several days ago and then did a search which got me to this page.  I am a psychologist and use my cell phone as my main business number and so do not answer when I do not recognize the number or if it is blocked or unavailable.  I expect those folks to leave a message if it truly is important.  Usually they do not, and Multi Media Salse did not leave a message.  I saw the same number come up again this morning and decided to answer.  The man said he was calling from KFRC, a local radio station in the SF Bay area, and said he was trying to reach me (I suppose they get my number from the yellow pages).  I told him that I knew that he was not from KFRC but from Multi Media Sales, and this got him a little flustered.  He then said that that was true but that he was calling on behalf of KFRC.  I asked him to take me off all their call lists.  We will see what happens.

when they call and ask for the boss, I ALWAYS ask for their name, and company and contact phone number, this pisses them off and when they say "so the boss isn't there?" I tell them I did not say that, I just need all this info for our phone log, and then they hang up!  LOL

Have a charge on our CC bill for $160 with this # attached.  Am, of course, disputing it with the bank.

Just called their Customer Service #: 1-800-736-3446.  I decided to turn the tables on them.  I asked for the owner of the business.  They asked who I was.  I gladly told him.  The owner was not available and the person did not know when he would be.  Yada Yada.  He asked for a # to call me back on.  I told him that they obviously already had it.  I will be calling back until I get the owner on the phone.

someone from 877-826-2517  has been calling on behalf of the Community Blood bank of  NW PA and trying to get companies to buy advertising. When called you get a message about a 'media group'. I do all of our advertising and have never heard of them. Our website is www.OurDonorsSaveLives.org

This man called asking for my boss and I said that he was busy and if I could help him.  He said sure if I were also in charge of advertising and I said yes that I was.  He wanted to sell me an ad for a "local radio station" to support the troops over seas.

KEEPS CALLING FOR RADIO ADVERTISING. GUY'S A REAL PAIN AND WON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER.  BORDING ON HARASSMENT!
