I have received 1-3 calls per day from this number for 2 years now.  I have never answered it as I do not recognize the number.  The number is not identified through caller ID as to whom it belongs, but when I called the number back on a couple of occasions, it stated it was Multimedia Customer Service and for me to leave a name and number of which I did not. Did I mention they have been persistent in calling 1-3 times per day FOR TWO YEARS?

I received a call from this number wanting me to sponsor messages on my local radio station to get people to give blood.  Since I am usually suspicious, I called the station.  They said it was completely legit! They were polite and professional.

This telemarketer has been calling 1-2 times a day now for a couple of months. That is harrassment and no reputable company would do this. Must be a bunch of morons running it as I have set their number in my contact list with a no ringer designation. Therefore I don't hear the call and only realize they've called when I look at my alerts from time to time. Again there must be bunch of dimwits there. Sign of the times I guess.

They call and don't leave a message but stay on the line long enough for the machine to indicate there is a message.  I never answer because I have read in other posts once you answer, you start getting calls from other numbers.

Caller called and left a long musical message on my phone which I had to pay for while he got his jollies but next time I will get my jollies I bought a airsol boat horn and when I get him on the phone he can listen to my music. If more people would get these little boat horns and do the same maby we wouldn't get these unsusisited calls.

Caller has called several times saying that he is from a radio station WHSL and would like me to send a message that is recorded for the soldiers overseas.  It is sad that he is using the great men and women serving in the military as a means for scamming.

Got a call---she identified herself as being w/ a local radio station (KINY) and wanted our church to buy a $500+ 30 second series of PSAs saying that our church was concerned about child abuse.  I told her I wasn't interested and hung up.  She called back from another # and  tried it again.  I told her I wasn't interested and hung up again.

They called my business line and asked to talk to "Lou" (a nickname derivative of my partners name which NO ONE calls him by), when I asked if he was calling from my state he said 'of course' I know that was not true because it was 7:30am. He did not want to leave a message, he said it was regarding to a project they were working on in March about missing children...LOL not true!

1-877-826-2517 is Multimedia Sales & Marketing Company (www.msminc.com) They buy blocks of spots from local radio stations (relatively low price) and then solicit businesses and try to resell them--with a huge profit.
Radio stations sell the blocks...so first clearly get the name and location of the radio station they are representing then ask the person to remove your number from the call list. Then ALSO CALL THAT RADIO STATION DIRECTLY (can ask for Station Manager) and let them know you are being harassed and ask THEM to contact Multimedia Sales, the ones they sold the spots to, and have you removed from their telemarketers call list. They are giving the radio stations a bad name as well and the radio stations should be aware of this.

Claimed to be an attorney representing a radio station that did a drive for missing children last year and couldn't collect so they retained him to collect from me. He refused to prove to me in any way shape or form that I had pledged money for this ad campaign. He tried to fool me by rattling off a bunch of numbers like he had my bank account and was just going to take it from me if I didn't cooperate. He also threw an address at me that I had not been at in over three years. He kept asking me for a fax number so he could send me something I refused to tell him anything. If he was truly an attorney he would have presented me with legal options not ask to take my credit card over the phone, nor would he not been able to produce any of the supposed invoices the radio station sent me over the last year. After I hung up on him he called back  and left a message still trying to collect the debt. I've dealt with attorneys before and he's definitely not one otherwise he would know he's been violating the FDCPA.

Refuse to identity themselves while insisting on speaking with owner.  Other telemarketers are audible in the background.   Since we have PBX that supports black list, I've blacklisted this number, they will get the three SIT tones and "number not in service".  I encourage all businesses to add this number to their blacklist

I am sorry for those of you who had bad experiences with calls from this number.

I work for MSM as a sales rep, and as happens in most telephone sales businesses, a lot of people come and go because they can't act professionally. MOST of our reps are very professional. MOST of our calls are pleasantly received.

We are resellers of radio time, working under contract with about 1500 stations all over the country.
Stations sell us unused time, and we write public service spots promoting such causes as anti-drunk driving, anti-drug abuse, anti-child abuse- blood donation, breast cancer screening awareness, and more. We call businesses in the radio station listening area offering sponsorships to promote themselves as well as to help raise public awareness about these good causes.
The announcements air 3-4 weeks after they are sold, and no one has to pay anything until after the air date.

When we call, we are trained to say we are calling on behalf of the station we are representing for that campaign. If asked directly, we will tell you that we are not at the station, but representing it. We begin by identifing ourselves as representing your hometown station because if we started by saying we are from MSM it would mean nothing to you.

We get numbers from business listings, and we do not intentionally call residences, although sometimes we get a number listed as a business, but it is located in a residence. If your cell number was listed as a business number, or if we called your business number and someone there gave us your cell number, that is the only way we can get it.

We have many satisfied repeat customers who like what we do, and are happy to participate.
MOST of us, when told the business owner is unavailable WILL try again--and quite often with success, and quite often with the owner's appreciation for the call.

We are NOT "scammers" and we are NOT "offshore." We have been operating legally, legitimately and successfully for over 20 years in Buffalo Grove, IL.

Reps are NOT paid "per call." (I wish we were!) We have to earn commissions, like any other salesperson. We are all regular working people with families to support.

Without apologizing for anyone else's bad behavior, some of the reps, mostly the unsuccessful ones, (can you guess why?) do not know how to handle rejection and ARE rude.
They do not last long in this company. Those who are abusive to customers are fired. They damage the good will of our customers as well as our standing with the radio stations that contract with us, so why would they be tolerated?

Others have been here many years, and are well-liked by customers. Some of us build great relationships with our customers, who look forward to hearing from us year after year, or in some cases, even month after month. They like having their business name associated with great messages about great causes, and many report to us that they get a warm response from the community.

The vast majority of the radio stations are pleased with how we represent them, and have been with us for many years.

If you do not want to be called, just politely say "Please do not call again."
Although businesses are not on the National Do Not Call list, we maintain our own restricted list, and will gladly put you on it.
(It may take a month or so for that to get through our clerical process.)

PS: Not always, but sometimes, when you get more tan one call from us in a short time, it is because you might have more than one business name and/or number, and we can't always tell that it is the same owner.

If you want to come off our list, please tell us ALL your business names and numbers so we can remove them all.

Caller wanted to speak with the owner, he knew the owner's first name. Advised to write to the owner. The owner prefers mail rather than the unwanted phone calls. It appears that he may not give up calling. How to stop him calling us? Adding to "Do not call list" does not seem to help.
