- V3Illegal telemarketer posing as credit card companies. I specifically asked them if they were Visa and the telemarketer said YES. I informed them that I was aware of them forging the Caller ID and he said "so what". I also informed them that they were calling a number on the federal do not call list and he said that he did not care.
Things went downhill and then he said he could kill me and my family and there was nothing that I could do about it.- Caller: Criminals posing as Visa/Mastercard

- JohnBeen calling frequently. Today it was "Alert, Alert, Alert. Debt forgiveness" Can't be legitimate since they never identified who they were and I have no credit cards. Have gotten the same call from other numbers.

This number called the office recently with another robocall from Sarah Chello on behalf of Account Holder services.
Sarah seems to be spoofing a lot of numbers lately. The last five she's used to call the office include:
800-365-2024, 800-869-3557, 866-283-6635, 866-484-2614, and 888-295-5540.- Caller: Account Holder Services

- Mike-in-MD replies to OfficeFlunkyThat is likely who has been calling me from this number as well. The Cardholder/Account Holder Services scammers have been spoofing a lot of legit numbers recently hoping people will bite. I have seen BoA and PNC Bank to name two.
- TedejrThey called me today 07/24/20 at 18:00 Eastern. I recognized the call as financial scam, but I didn't get into "memory mode" immediately, so I can't say precisely what their pitch was. However, after their pitch, there was no option to reach someone. The line was dead air until it disconnected about 30 seconds or so later.

- PT| 2 repliesThis clown keeps calling but I had this number blocked. Called last month 14 times. This month it's so far at 11. Still have 25 more days to go. Wish they would BUST this call center. Since it is blocked, my phone never rings. It just gets dumped on my caller list.

This is the Visa/Mastercard scam being run out of India. Which one of the thousands of call centers running this scam would you like them to "BUST"? I usually play them up until the time it comes to give a credit card number. Then they get really upset, curse you out, and never, ever call you again. Much more fun then looking at a caller list.Quote:Wish they would BUST this call center. - PT replies to BigASay that is a good idea. Will try it. Tks.
- NickCITIBANK calling about their BEST BUY STORE issued card. My payment is literally on 7 days late, and they are calling my phone at like 9:00 AM on a Saturday !!!! They left an automated voicemail that tells me to log into review my account. Granted, being late is on me, but just super annoying that they'd be calling my phone at like 9:00AM cause someone is 7 days late. Just Email me. This is why people end up blocking creditors, and/or changing their notification preferences...etc.
- Caller: Citibank for Best Buy Card
- Call type: Debt collector
- Ann replies to TZ| 5 repliesI had the same. You have no issues since I hope this is legit
- BigA replies to Ann| 4 repliesYet it was determined that it is not "legit" and now we know that you have been scammed as well.
- Ann replies to BigA| 3 repliesEven tho I got a confirmation from Best Buy and didn’t give out any info? Idk what to do I’m like scared
- LindseyCalled said I was late for Best Buy credit from citi bank
And asked to confirm I want to make a payment over the phone I already had a card saved I guess? And got a confirmation from Best Buy so I’m very confused if scam and what to do- Caller: Citi bank +1 (877) 836-5643
- BigA replies to Ann| 2 repliesOnce you purchase something with a branded credit card the company you purchased from gets paid by the bank holding the card and has nothing more to do with it. Therefore it would have been impossible for you to get a confirmation from Best Buy since the transaction on your credit card would have been through Citibank. You should try getting an honest job since your shilling is so poor there "Ann/Lindsey".
- Ann replies to BigAIt was my debit card paying late bill. and the confirmation was email from Best Buy like normal saying thanks for payment
I didn’t give my debit card info out either just my name to validate I want to make payment idk - Ann replies to BigAOn my debit statement says it’s from Citibank and matches location on my paper statement and is correct amount and I was late for the first time so the email I got confirmation was like the other ones I’ve gotten when I called to make payments over the phone before
- Kevin replies to Tia| 1 replyCan you say who is calling from this number?
