there is in fact a "Do Not Call" Registery, and it does work. However, it works for the legitimate telemarketers and phone survey people. I used to work for a phone survey company. I know this for a fact.

I've been getting calls from this no. for over a week. When I check voicemail, they leave no message, just silence then a click. Last night I picked up the phone, they hung up like it was a wrong number. I'm getting sick of it. I was just thinking of  calling them back when I saw your site-glad I didn't.

so true! i have entered my number on this site a few times and i still have a few random callers pop up! It' SOOOO annoying! what's the point of the DO NOT CALL site if soliciters still can get through? maybe it's another scam!!! lol

OH...you know what? I did recently sign up to get information for Phoenix College. I have signed up for info from colleges before...but its random that the same number pops up for you guys. Weird.

They called me during school hours and it went off in the middle of a class. I stopped answering their calls and I don't get them anymore

Received a call from this number today -- do not want any further calls.  I tried to call back and got a message saying the number wouldn't be available for a few hours.  It is worrying me because I have applied to online colleges before and I am researching them now.  The caller had my info -- but I refused to give my full birthdate -- and was going to send me info on Strayer and University of Pheonix.  We'll see.

I had a call from this number today. First time I had to hang up. I tried to call back and it said the service was unavailable. But after reading from everyone here I'm not answering this number. Thanx.

This number harasses me constantly, but he wont stay on the line if I have a boy pick up.

I got a call earlier and they asked for my wife by name. Didn't say who they were calling for or anything. I said that wasn't the way to make business phone calls. He became rode to me so I asked to speak to his supervisor. He said his name is click and he's right here and then hung up the phone. Just now I received another call from the same place. There was a woman on the other end this time. I asked to speak to her supervisor and told him what had happened. I ask what company he was working for and he stated University and College Finder

I got a call from this number...asking to verify info and he recited my home address and that theyd send info to my address? Where could they have got my info from? It's weird. What should I do? maybe they got info from my uni or scholarship website?

Beware of www.studentcollegematch.com OR www.studentandcollege.com !!!! These are the latest "student" websites run by Webnet Holdings (a.k.a. Internet Advertising Group) and all its affiliates.  Go ahead and put your info in there if you want your information to be passed around and recycled.

I AM A DANG KID!!!!!! I was reading in my room and this dang # keep calling. My mom tells ma never to answer a 800 #, so i didn't. BUT ITS REALLY ANNOYING!!!!!!!!! Why wont they stop, and who are they?!

sharktooth, what ever u do don't send them ANYTHING. if they wont stop simply give fake info or call your phone service and get the # blocked.

Read past forum post for all the answers you need.  You just have to wade through a lot of understandable, but unhelpful, post as well.  There is a lot of information here if you read and look.
