Got this call at work. Clearly a scam.

I just got the same message on my cell phone.  Barclay's - Mastercard - World Account....they also included a direct number - 302-255-8888....not calling that one either...

10:16 a.m. 11/19: Rec'd automated voice call stating "This is the Barclay's Fraud Dept., please enter your 16 digit card now". Um, What?

I work for Bank of America and this number is a scam. I attempted to call the number and its disconneted; my best guess is that somehow they have it set up to make outgoing calls but incoming calls are blocked. They are trying to get personal information.

SCAM call at 2:06 PM PST... Master card world account at barclays...

Just got a call from the Barclay MasterCard....it's a scam...someone phishing...DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION...

If you get a call from this or any other unfamiliar number saying your card has been compromised or whatever and they don't tell you the card number, its fake. They want you to call back and give them the card number so they can then use it for whatever malicious activity they intend. If you're concerned call the number on the back of your bank card to get it sorted out.

Just got the same call everyone is talking about. No credit card name at the beginning. And then hold on the card. Very generic, no card number mentioned. I'm quite sure this is crap. Going to ignore.

Received 3 calls in less than 2 hours on 3 of my phone lines:  1 at work, and 2 cell phones.  I wonder if someone hacked my account somewhere - otherwise what are the chances of them getting 3 of my numbers in 2 hours?  Same message - my account has been placed on hold due to fraudulent activity, and to look it up @BarkleycardUS.com.  I don't have a card there, so another obvious SCAM.

I got a call for 877-988-5553 and a recording stated that that my Barclay MC World account is on hold due to Fraud. If  i am not the card holder to have the card holder call the number or wait to speak to someone. I don't have a Master card so I hang up.. This is fraud. Do not provide any information if you speak to someone. If you do, hang up and call the number on the back of your credit card.

Already disconnected.

Just got the same call about the world mastercard...don't got one.

I received the same phone call. I think it is interesting that we are all getting this phone call on the same day. I also do not have a MasterCard.  This is a scary scam.

Number called twice, back to back no voicemail.

Do not call back. This is a scam..All they want is your credit card number to be input when calling back so you can authorize the use of it. No CC company will require your account number in order to speak with someone live.

Received automated call about a hold on Barclay MasterCard.  I do not have such a card.  Seems phishy.

I also just received a call from this number. Yeah don't call back!

Ditto as all of you.  I don't own Barclay MC World Account. Scammers never sleep.  Sheesh!
