Called and did not leave a message. Blocked!

Kevin O called a said this call was inference to a State Letter. Lien letter by the State of California. Solicitor.

They do solicitations all the time.  And the person said "when you call" not "when you look at your caller id app." When you call it says, "Thank you for calling the National Rifle Association" and not "National Recovery Agency" or "Nerds Reading Aristotle" or "Nutria Rat Advocacy."

There's a lot of useless debate over whether this is the NRA/National Rife Association or NRA/National Recovery Agency, even though if you call the number back (as I did), it's the National Rifle Association.

However, maybe they're actually working together, right?  Are you more or less likely to repay your debt when staring down the barrel of a rifle?

YES they do.  They call us...from THIS number.  I spoke to a live person and it WAS the NRA - about a lifetime membership and magazine subscription.

The same organization as 8552383478 and 8662758502.  I called all 3 numbers on an outbound only phone and got the exact same recording saying they were the National Rifle Association, of which, I am a member.  The NRA sells phone number lists of its members so I do not know if its sme scammer or the real McCoy. The well known robo blocker does block all these numbers but I see them in the call detail report.

Manipulation because of a phone call?  I have been a National Rifle Association member for decades, and the only fund raising is via mail.  These spoofed "NRA" calls are for manipulation of the gullible either for collection purposes or the anti-gun fools who seek out other fools with spoofed calls.  Wise up!

I called the number back 888-202-2385 and it said "Thank You for calling The National Rifle Association"  it is not a recovery or collections agency.
