This is not the National Rifle Association. They say NRA and everyone assumes it's the National Rifle Association. I've tried researching this number and it comes up as everything from a collection agency to an anti-gun group trying to tick off members so they will not renew their memberships. From a lot of post I've read on various sites it seems their scam is working, Report them to the FCC ! I have had problems with other callers and calls stopped 2 days after filing complaints. Make sure you get a case number from FCC so you know they received your complaint.

I was a member for about 20 years I should have paid the lifetime benefit at the beginning. It does not matter how much you pay in dues or how much you donate for legislative action you get calls with the same threats to pay and pay if you drop out the money moochers still want pay days ,not bad for being a telephone bullies they are the only problem with joining in the first place.!!!

yes they do. i am a member and they call to extend your membership when there is a special going on.

I am a lifetime member of the NRA, and they do not call to get any kind of monies. I wonder how many people fall pray to this caller?

Actually I am a member also, and they have called me in the past, mostly to renew my membership.

I have been getting calls from solicitors that say they are the NRA, soliciting funds. Whether they are authorized by the national or state NRA chapters or not, I don't know. However, I am reporting this to my NRA lobbyists in Michigan, whom I know very well.

It does say National Rifle Assoc. Well I am a member and believe in what they are doing so if they want to call they can.

Under the FTC's TSR while failing to properly identify themselves they have "denied or interfered with your ability to be placed on their internal do not call lists". Under the state of Florida the National Rifle Association of America alone uses solicitors:

David, don't be so silly......  This company calls and announces itself as NRA, but it's National Recovery Agency, NOT, National Rifle Association.  It's a collection agency getting into a conversation with you by you thinking it's the National Rifle Association.  To say you're cancelling your NRA membership is plain stupidity.  For all you know it could be an "anti-gun" group, trying to "pi.. you off" and do as you're doing... cancelling your support.
