Spam fraud

Foolish guy tried to threaten me and my husband for our social security numbers...telling us we can do it the easy way or hard way.... we'll take the hard way bc I'm not revealing sh-t to a stranger over the phone

Apparently paragon funding is saying I owe for a payday loan.  Call came from cfs

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Just happened to me too they called said I wrote a bad check to a payday loan threatened me for $480 I told him I'm declining they said see you in court

Called and said I owe for a payday loan.  Called my mom too to ask if she knew me and threatened to take me to court.  When I laughed at them and asked them how many people fall for their scam, she cussed me out and hung up.

Just received the same call. I didn't call back and I'm not. I have not received any papers in the mail and until then if it is ligit I will not be calling them.

They told me that they were gonna press charges

These punks called my mom, and then when I caught her in a lie. She hung up. So I called back, and some guy tried to get bad with me on phone, shut the hell up and get a real job.

Me too he wanted me to verify my last # on my social!!

I told him send me a letter

They are to much!

This is just another of the many FAKE debt collectors out there. Just block.

Received a voicemail asking of any known whereabouts for the individual (me)  and next step would be to begin filing the necessary paperwork with the County Court.

Not calling them back based on all the below statements!

They called me several time. Leave message saying they're attempting to collect a debt. They called me several times saying they're going to send me to court. They have never sent me any papers until I get some sort of legitimate paper I will not be calling them back.

They called 2 days in a row, looking for someone else, collecting a debit threatening to file papers at THE local court. If they were looking for me they would have my NAME to go with my phone number, not someone else's. No papers in the mail, BLOCKED no more BS calls.
