Won't Be Scammed replies to Kevin
Called back at this number and "Angela" wanted to get my personal information and refused to tell me what type of business it was or the nature of the matter. I am not a US resident and never done business with a US company, so no possibility of a delinquent debt. Either the "California Service Bureau" is a phishing scheme or this is an identity theft. I hung up reported them to the authorities instead since "Angela" failed to compel me into believing they are a legitimate business.

Got a call from these people staring I have been turned into collections wouldn't provide any informant except to say they were California service Bureau and I was in collections. One guy named Oswald became very rude when I stated I owe no one any money & what are you talking about and then he hung up on me! I've called them back & their tel # does not match CVS.? Another scam I'm reporting them to them to the real CVS'.

I don't answer numbers if I don't recognize them. and if it is legit they can leave a message. they told me it was for a medical bill for my husband in California.  he's never been to California and we don't live in California. never have. so they can scam someone else

    Hang up call.
I called back and was told they called me by mistake,  again.
this has been happening for months and auto dialers should be illegal.

    You are a laffinstock.
you guys keep hanging up on me. When I call you back you claim the call was a mistake.  This has been going on for months.
I wonder if the fcc will find it a laffinstock.

Just received a call from this number. Typically, I don't answer numbers I don't know (unless it's a familiar area code) and I especially don't answer 800 or 888 numbers..always let it go to voicemail..but for some reason I felt compelled to answer. It was an automated message saying they have a very 'important message' for Kimberly ****** and if that was me press 9 or call back #############.

I have heard my fair share of automated messages saying the exact same thing in the past but only on voicemail. I would never call back to find out what was so damn important (because I knew I owed money for something, somewhere.)
This time I was unsure what the call was in reference to (all of the debt I had inquired was prior to getting married, 3 years ago) so when they said mentioned my married name and not maiden, I immediately cancelled out an outstanding bill (collectors only use my maiden).
Well, I pushed 9 and I still have absolutely no freaking clue what the call was about. Those jerks had me on hold! I waited, and waited, and waited for about 5 minutes before I hung up. An automated message would go off about every 30-40 seconds saying that I would be connected shortly and thank you for waiting.

I'm sorry, how are you gonna call someone then put them on hold??!!? Especially if you are looking for money from them?
They done messed up...they would have caught me off guard and had the upper hand. I don't do well in those types of situations. Honestly, they probably could have made some imaginary bill that is owed and I, more than likely, would have believed them.
You had your perfect opportunity "California Service Bureau".
    You done messed up.

Received an automated call from them again today. Called them back twice, the first time they hung up on me, the second time they told me the same thing as last time.  Please disregard the call, it was a mistake.  I have been fighting cancer since 2013 and I don't need 'accidental" harassment.   This has been happening monthly for 6 months.  Time to see if the fcc can help.

http://www.californiaservicebureau.com/ is the website associated with this phone number. I am sure I do owe for medical bills but I refuse to talk to a collection agency about it. I have blocked this number over a year ago. I look into my "missed calls" online (Comcast) and it shows about 23 attempts per day that they try to call.

They keep calling before 8:30 and the computer asks for a person that doesn't live here. I called the number back and a recording said the number wasn't in service. Go figure...Another scam to be sure. Mean people and jerks like this shouldn't be allowed to have devices that robo call.

I screen all my calls with a combo Caller ID and answering machine device. My recorded message informs callers that, if they block their Caller ID so I do not know who is calling, I will NOT pick up or respond to their call. When the answering machine kicks in, the caller evidently hangs up. NO message is left. I pay cash as I go and charge NOTHING. There is no doubt in my mind that the person making these calls is attempting to defraud the callers. Best to NEVER pick up this call!

Right but this is were the process stops as I NEVER provide ssn or dob on the phone to anyone. Never mind I am taking your call for a medical debt in the first place. My call script is: What is your name? Last name? Name of co you are calling on behalf? Nature of that business? and then I hang up assuming we get over the part where I ask you your last name. In fact I might begin to ask you for your full details so I can verify your right to work with the Employment America database and report violations.

I received a call from this number on my home number when I was at work.  The caller (who had his Caller ID blocked, so I got the "Unknown caller" display on the recorded caller ID) left a partially garbled message, but did leave the number requesting a call back.  I did, and got no answer.  My best guess?  Since no name was left, and no indication as to who was being called about, that the call was a scam.

    Scammer
Called to collect debt from a hospital from over a year ago. Gave name of provider and hospital. Said insurance only covered part of bill and leftover was sent to them to collection. They say they could take payment over the phone and clear us from collections. His name and extension: 81214 Mr. Sarang. They seem to have a lot of info right and know provider names and address info. We did however have to verify home address before they will give you any info. Were directed to voicemail after holding over 15 minutes to speak to a Spanish receptionist her name was Jenny Garcia. Left a voicemail with out name and phone number to call back. Then we finally got the representative to have me translate for the person calling as long as she gave verbal permission. Very very scary and strange. Will not be giving any payment info over the phone. He said we were more than welcome to speak to hospital about this bill. They don't seem to be hiding anything but common, we never ever received a bill from hospital. Hospitals will usually mail you several letters/phone calls to try and collect any debt. I don't think that collection agencies are supposed to collect money over the phone, instead they'll have you pay it to the hospital. Will be doing extensive research on this. Hopes this helps.
