- KatieI have never given my info to Best Buy, if this is even really Best Buy calling. I get a phone call morning and night...it is so annoying. When I pick up I hear silence. They bother listening to my entire voicemail message, then leave me a "message" with static on it, no voices, no actual message. I want these calls to stop.
- amerithis number is from best buy, they called to remind of reward zone points
- Caller: best buy
- KarenYep...Best Buy calling to say I opted in to receive a call on my mobile phone upgrade! What??? I got all my phones direct from Verizon. How did they get my cell #????
- Caller: Best Buy
- Customer SpyOK, I hate robocalls and report all those that I get to the FTC (https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2). I receievd a call saying "This is an Automated Call from Best Buy Renewals regarding your recent purchase of a Desk Top computer...". I build my own computers and haven't bought one from Best Buy in 9 years. After checking into the call, I determined it was genuinely from Best Buy but intended for someone who previously shopped at Best Buy but gave my telephone number (perhaps they had it before me). I called Best Buy back, spoke to geek who explained nothing could be done to have them update their records to reflect that I am the only customer with that phone number. Since they don't take the time to ensure that their records are up-to-date, I am going to file a complaint with the FTC.

- ChristyIt was and automated message from Best Buy letting me know that I am eligible for my (Sprint) upgrade credit, and if I'd like to come and take advantage of their deals on cell phones.
Weird, because I haven't upgraded my phone at a Best Buy in several years and that's the first time I've ever gotten one of those calls.
Not a big deal, really. Just deleted the message.- Caller: Best Buy

- Liz replies to JamesYes for gift certs you are right but for reward certs they can do whatever they want because it's NOT your money, it's just a reward for shopping there.
- DavidGot a robocall saying I opted to receive a call. I hung up immediately. The caller did not identify himself as Best Buy. In quick order, I received two more calls, which I didn't answer. In both cases, a message was left which simply stated: "Press 9," then cut off immediately. I haven't puchased anything at Best Buy in 5-6 years. I never joined whatever programs they may have initiated. Only a dozen people have my cell phone number -- I certainly did not share it with Best Buy. I don't even know for sure if this call came from Best Buy.

- Candilee JacksonI received a call from this number and I don't recognize it; the 888 tells me it's probably a marketing call; I want to be removed from their list
- Caller: unknown
- Care BearIt was Best Buy reminding me that my cell phone is eligible for an upgrade. Nothing about Reward Zone points...
- Caller: Best Buy
- Matt M replies to FrankOh.. OK so I should save this number because I shop at best buy online... For order alerts and Reward zone notifications.
- JonahThe problem with this automated call from Best Buy is they do not have a cue or button to push to talk to an operator, pretty important since they are calling the wrong number and I don't shop there. I think it could also be a fake deal by Best Buy to get around the Do Not Call list and pretend they have a business relationship with someone. I mean what a coincidence that everyone they call all have $5 left on a rewards card?

- NellieThey called me and when I answered they hung up. I don't shop at best buy cause I'm not even 18 yet. Lol who is this?
- ireneBest Buy called to let me know my phone is eligible for an upgrade.
- MikeYep, Best Buy. Calling to let me know my Sprint contract is up and I'm eligible for a "free" phone. Harmless . . .
- Caller: Best Buy Mobile
- Danielle| 1 replyBest Buy... calling to let me know I am eligible for an upgrade on my cell phone now.
- Caller: Best Buy
- E replies to JLTReceived call from bot stating "if I would like to schedule the installation of my new home entertainment center with the geek squad, press 1". Serious red flags going up here because I did not purchase a home entertainment system, and they have no record of any purchases on my account. I do have a rewards card. Wonder if it was some telebot calling glitch? Gonna keep a close eye on credit report.
- Tacarro replies to DanielleIf you received one of these upgrade calls from Best Buy, can you shoot me an email? I'm interested in finding out some additional information.
