Keep in mind, just because a number is legit, doesn't mean the caller is!

Scammers spoof legitimate numbers to trick people into a false sense of security to answer their calls and attempt to get money or personal information from you.

If you were not expecting a call from them, don't trust a stranger on the phone is who they say they are. Too many scammers these days use any number they want and many sound convincing enough to trick you into giving personal info or money.

Toll Free Call - which I block. Came here to see that it is Best Buy. Then I realize it was Geek Squad calling about  my appointment for the next day. Geek Squad is owned by Best Buy.

what country is this service in, cant understand anyone

I keep getting texts that I have an order ready. Haven’t been there in years. I put the number in my contacts and then blocked it so hopefully they can’t text me again.

Clearly a scam. Folks in this forum say it is Best Buy and their Geek Squad or Reward Zone. DOUBT IT. Haven't bought anything from them in years. Numbers can easily be spoofed. PLUS, they never said who they were. It was a live person with a lot of noise in the background. Blocked.

Computer tech I think he was in training because someone in back of him kept prompting him.  Wanted to fix what ever signals my computer was sending out.  I will never let anyone have access to my computer

CID said Best Buy.  The only problem is I have never purchased anything from them and now I never will!

Person with very heavy, nearly unintelligible pakistani accent saying they are from computer support ...could not understand the rest of it. They got angry when I told them to get someone who could speak English. Calling the number gets a recorded voice that says "Best Buy...did you know about Best Buy Technical support...?" This is the second time in less than a week that they have called me and the third time I received a call from them. First call was on 9-4-18 @ 6:46 pm. The number is legit but I suspect it is being hijacked or spoofed and you will regret giving them any information. JUST DON'T DO IT!!

Received call from Best Buy that my in home appointment is scheduled for Sept 26 between 12 noon and 4pm.
I have never shopped at Best Buy.

I received a text from this number. Have. Or been in a best buy store for years. How did they get my phone number. When I called I could not understand the person. Not sure this is ligit

This is the Holiday Season when many shoppers tend to spend money carelessly and scammers like to mingle into the financial chaos. They will send out texts, emails and make calls to try phishing info or scam you into giving them money any way they can.
Your number is most likely just a random one that came out in their rob-dialer.
Doubtful its legitimate, but without you mentioning what the text said, I can only guess.  If your concerned it might be legit, then call your local BestBuy store and ask them.

Appears to have been from Best Buy calling to remind about an in-home appointment that's been scheduled for near future date. I haven't purchased anything for in-home delivery. I'm guessing they called the wrong number.

The caller flat out called me a liar. I resent his attitude and ugliness toward me. Remove my name and # from your call list.

No message.  If Best Buy I am furious, for they keep calling to remind me about a non-existent installation, nor do I have any other dealings with them other than a one-time purchase months ago, which I am beginning to regret.

This IS NOT Best buy. They called my 9xs in one day. I finally answered and it was some guy with a thick Indian accent asking me about my student loan. I said what student loan? He hung up.someone called back no more than 30 seconds later and that's when I blocked them.

This is definitely NOT Best Buy calling. I did purchase an appliance from them & had it delivered a few weeks ago. Have received a couple calls from this number by a foreigner claiming to be from Best Buy wanting to verify that item I purchases was delivered???? Obviously, someone has hacked Best Buy's computer system & accessed customer data base & phone numbers since the real Best Buy knows it was delivered. Block phone number.
