Received a call from this number. They were looking for Steven Talbot. I have no idea who he is. I asked that they remove my number from their records. I doubt they will.

This number has called our home several times over about the past 30-60 days.  Sometimes there are multiple calls a day.  They have not left us any messages and each time I answer I get a dead line or the call drops or something but I have yet to speak to anyone.  My husband and I both had some late payments on debts more than 10 years ago during college, but all were paid off or settled so we have no old bad debt that we are aware of and my credit score is now 800+.

So, I have no idea why they would be calling us, but it is very annoying and from the prior posts they look quite abusive.  I think I will be reporting them to the BBB and the state attorney general, since we are on the do not call list, our number is unlisted, and these calls are coming more frequently now which constitutes a nuisance or harassment or something I am certain.

I have been getting calls from these people also. They called 2 people in my family and my family told me about it. I called them and asked and then told them not to call anyone and that I had paid off my one of my other debts. And the one I'm almost finished with is not affiliated with them and didn't tell them who they were I owed a little too. They laughed leaving a message on my voicemail once and sounded ridiculous. I notified BBB about them but all I had was the phone number. (888) 253-3108

I have been a call almost everyday about 8:30 in the morning for 2-3 weeks now. They are looking for the wrong person with my first and last name. They ask is your birthday this: my answer is No. Does your last 4 social end in these 4 numbers: my answer No. I have told them they have the wrong person and to stop calling. They reply of course we will take your number off and it never happens. I still get calls.
My advice is to just not pick up the phone when they call.

Allied Interstate made a deal with me about my payment arrangements and when I called back to make my monthly payment they refused it and said it wasn't approved. They demanded personal information about my place of employment and said they can't approve any payment arrangement unless I tell them my income, all my expenses and where I work...I've already filed a complaint against them to www.ftc.org and I'm also going to file and complaint with the BBB and maybe contact a lawyer because this is crap!

After receiving an apparent  "primer" call (Ulin Russell 602-265-3779) at 12:21 PM on 4/19/2011 to see if the phone would be answered (I answered & got dead air), was called back by this number at 12:23 PM asking for a name I didn't recognize.  I responded there was no one by that name at this number.  It sounded like a telemarketing-type call (boiler room background noise), so I told them not to call this number again.  The person said the call was being recorded for quality control purposes & they wouldn't call again.

Being a curious kind of person, I called the number back, and it's Allied Interstate.  I didn't want to talk to the dirtbags, but their records are screwed up -- we've had this phone number for 24 years, so they must be trying to track down a really REALLY old debt!

Received a call a few weeks ago for person I did not know.   Foreign caller said he would remove my number within 24hrs.   I block the number but received another call from a different number.
This company has 1300+ complaints against them with the W Palm Beach, FL, BBB.   Also, they are under government action.   Go to:

    http://www.bbb.org/south-east-florida/busines ... m-beach-fl-9638

Contact your state AG, file a complaint, and mention that they are already under govt action.   The AG will be more likely to piggyback your complaint.

I was home when the call came in from 1-888-253-3108. No one responded when I said hello. Finally I heard a male yawn and when I said that I was sorry to wake him up, but he called me so what did he want, he angrily said good bye and hung up! I just knew it was a collection group since I keep getting them on my ex and his family!

I don't know how they got my cell phone but it's really pissing me off. that's why I got the cell phone so that I could give the number to whomever I wanted and not worry about this crap. Where do they get you cell numbers? They called me four times yesterday!!
