Got a call from Richard Goldberg calling from 804-250-1706 demanding money ...and gave me a threat...they been doing this a long time

I guess they have a new # now its 1 866 681 1776  a Michael called my # looking for someone else @ I told him that the person that he was looking for doesn't live here and in about a week later someone else called  

This girl named Melissa called me on my house phone and my work phone but not yet on my cell.  That will probably be next.  I think it is quite the scam and the next time I receive a call at my job I will be filing a complaint with the attorney general's office.  I am sick of these people trying to get money from defenseless human beings.  They do not have a conscience as far as I am concerned.  Don't know how they even sleep at night.

I received a call from this number.  t was a girl  named Melissa.   I sure hope she gets paid enough for harassing people!!!!

A friend of mine just called  me and said that a Melissa called for me from this # 888-266-2579  and for me to call her right away. I look up the number and found out that this is a scam. I will not return her calls, But i will get a hold of the BBB .

Have received several calls at my work number from "Melissa" saying she needs to speak with me TODAY.  I called the number back and got a recording to keep holding, not going to do that.  I am going to contact the state attorney general, and also write to this company (I googled the number and got the same results as others of you have already posted).  I have no debt currently and have no idea who these people think they represent.

Ha - this company as of today has been put out of BUSINESS due to illegal business practices.

Read the article, and be sure to file COMPLAINTS against any collector who contact you. They are all worthless and consumers WILL triumph over their tactless business practices.

This is for Zenith Financial, LLC and they are calling for collection loans or debts. They are calling from 888 266 2579 and 202 888 9268. Trying to collect on a debt and it's not even mine.

We received a call from a man identifying himself as an IRS agent.  He used the scare tactic of us going to jail if we did not pay back taxes from 2009-2014.  Very disturbing call.  These individuals should go to jail for harassing people.

It was a computer call from Charter cable service telling me my tech guy was on his way to come make a repair.  Was legit because I actually do have an appointment today.

I received calls every single day from this company for the last 3 months. Finally call them back last January of 2016. This company was claiming a balance of $3,407.97 that they said I owed from Cash Central, the original creditor. I honestly owed and borrowed money from Cash Cetral for the amount of $2,501.00 and did make couple payments until I become default for almost 9 months due to financial difficulties, It was reported to my credit report and it does lower my credit score. As far as this company collecting money from me, I was scared based on their statement that my credibility is in compromise and that it will be holding my life in hardship for couple years, so I contacted them with a phone number (209)400-2592 spoke with Debbie Torres, this person is very rude and never let me talk, all she does is harassing me and keep telling me about my credit worthiness, I feel bad about myself and even though I keep telling her that I don't have money to pay she keep insisting to offer me a settlement and I actually fell on her tactic and set up a monthly payment that will be automatically deducted on my bank account for the amount of $150 but she said that a $141.00 will only be credited to lower the amount I owe and that the $9.00 will be a processing fee. So for every $150 I pay they took $9.00 as processing fee. I cried after I set up a 6 months payment program because I feel like I was forced to pay by this lady, and I can tell that she was giggling when I told her that she's making me cry doing this when I've been struggling  with my finances. It is very stressful to deal with this lady and I after I read all the comments in this site I realized that this company is probably a scam and I will be calling my bank to report this fraud and refund the first payment I made last January and will give my bank a heads up to keep an eye in this company.

And will report them to BBB!!!!! The lady in the name of Debbie Torres is a horrible person and I don't know how she can sleep at night knowing that everyday she Harras people and give people stress in their life.

You need to contact Cash Central to find out if they have actually sold that debt, and who they sold that debt to, before you make any more payments to anyone.

William, FYI, the debtor never has to prove anything.  The debt collector must by law prove that the debt is owed and that they are the ones to collect it.

Wes this a Western Sky loan?  If so you don't have to pay it back.  They are being shut down.  I see this bunch of crooks is trying to collect for them.  I will be posting the company information shortly.  Looks like they have a habit of doing to others and treating them the same way they did you.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

That's the problem Erika, they won't send you proof when you ask for it, because they have none. It's a scam and they can not threaten you.
