- bogus| 1 replyreceived call on answering machine that we had won, 1 of 4 prizes male named jermain made call said for an entry we made.....problem is we made no entry for car or any other prizes. we won't be calling back and will be blocking this number. had to replay numerous times to understand what he was saying.
- Caller: couldnt understand his gibberish
- bogus replies to boguspart on my post where it says (caller) couldn't understand his gibberish" was written by me (bogus) there was a question asking company name, I thought it was asking me what company he was calling from and I responded with I couldn't understand his gibberish. Just want people to be aware it was not a response from the caller. Nor do I expect a response from the scammer.
- Atlanta mom| 2 repliesMelvin called at least that is what the name came close to sounding like. Totally difficult to understand anything really. Message said something about winning a car and that they were not a bogus company selling time shares, etc and to hurry and call back as there were 4 possible prizes. I dont recall entering any contest for a car but these jack holes sound fishy......
- Caller: could understand name
- Atlanta replies to Atlanta mom| 1 replyI also got this call. Caller said he was calling about a contest. We didn't actually win but we were chosen to be one of twelve couples who would participate for a number of prizes including:
-Dodge Durango
-$2,500
-Trip to Las Vegas or to several other locations
-A Cruise
-A Toshiba Satillite Laptop
Each of the twelve couples were guaranteed to win one of the five prizes. The prize given to each couple would recieve be chosen randomly through a drawing. I should also point out that the people who participate in the comtest had to be part of a couple or married and both members of the couple had to attend. We were required to goto the Hilton Garden Inn at 4025 Windward Plaza Drive in Atlanta GA at 1:30 pm on Saturday August 25 2012. The one thing is he pointed out that we had to give him permission to publicize our name. Supposedly this was part of some publicity for a new travel agency that was opening up in ATL. The one thing that bothered me was that those attended the drawing had to bring two forms of ID, a drivers license and a credit card of check. The second form of ID had to be a credit card or check. That was the only thing that sounded fishy to me although the called did assure me that they wouldn't take the credit card or check number down. Of course they wouldn't accept an I'd other then a credit card or heck, like a passport or social security card, so that was suspect. Otherwise the offer almost sounded legit, very convincing, but I turned him down anyway. - JackReceived a call from this number on aug 23, 2012. Caller called four consecutive times. ..three of which i answered the phone and immediately hung up, knowing that it was not a call i wanted to receive. On their fourth attempt to reach me i picked up the phone but did not say anything, waiting to see if it was an automated recording. The caller on the other end of the phone became immediately combative and very rude. I repeatedly asked who was calling and what was the call regarding. The caller would not answer any of my questions..choosing to list what she was not instead.. "I am not a teller marketer etc.." After stating very clearly to never call our number again.. I hung up as the caller continued to berate me. I have to say that i have NEVER received a call like this before... upsetting and felt like a total invasion of privacy.

- SCAM-MidwestCaller left a message on answering machine. Audio quality was terrible and very hard to understand anything on the message. Was a male caller who said his name was "Jermaine" from an indistinguishable company and that we had won a car for an entry that had been made in our name in the past 12-18 months and stated that "this was their final attempt" at contacting us. Asked us to contact 1-888-284-8918 extension 124 to claim our winnings and that they were not a telemarketer or scam. Has scam written all over it. Do not provide any information and block immediately!

- EddieGot this call today Aug 27, and I'm glad I looked up the number before calling back. Same observation as above, good thing you told me, so I won't bother calling back.
- WoofieI received a phone message from Madelyn telling me I had a prize and that I submitted to a contest sometime in the last 6 months (which I had not). She said she was calling from the Notification Center and that's all the identification she gave. Then she said she was not a telemarketer and would not be calling if I were not on their list and that this was time sensitive. For me, Notification Center means nothing but a scam. It's just a generic name so I did not and do not intend to call back. If it were a legitimate company, there would be no problem leaving their name. The number is 888-284-8918, x124.
- Caller: Notification Center
- anonymous replies to AtlantaThis is likely a sales presentation for crap like membership to a vacation club or timeshares or cookware, all costing several $thousand each. The second form of ID is bullsh*t, they want to make sure of you have a way to PAY for the crap. Some can resist shark salesmen, some will succumb and buy. You'll not get the car, money or laptop -- these are material things you can take away and be gone forever. The prize will either be the trip or cruise, either of which can involve travel to a timeshare location where you will again be hounded to buy! buy! buy!
- AtlantaMessage from Tammy 888-284-8318 x117 said she was from a national notification center. That I had filled out something 12-18 months ago and I was one of 5 people who won. That I would get one of 5 top prizes and I would have to go to the Hilton Garden Inn but I would have to call her back so she could fax or email details to me that I would need to take with me to collect my prize.
- Caller: no name
- Earththanks. i am glad i took a look at this before i called back. they said that i entered a contest and i was one of the 4 who won a car...that was all i could understand apart from the number-a bunch of gibberish.
- Notification CenterIn response to "Atlanta" the second form of I.D is because, they are celebrating the Grand Opening of the Travel Agency and know if you don't have a major credit card more than likely you are not the traveling type.

- fedupGot the same message on the answering machine. Called and it said wrong xtension. Really hard to understand.

- IowaI received a phone message Sept 7th at 2:30 p.m. from Tammy Jones, coordinator from phone #888-284-8918 x117 said she was from a national notification center. That I had filled out something 12-18 months ago to win a car and I have won one of the top 4 prizes. I would have to go to the Baymont Inn in Des Moines to collect my prize. I would have to call her back betweeen 11:30 am & 7:30 pm so she could give details to me. Also said "they" had been trying to contact me for some time and this was the last attempt to award my prize. Also said this is "time sensitive". I have been married for nearly 6 years and Tammy called using my previous name from 6 years ago....that was fishy to me. If I filled out something 12 -18 months ago it would be in my previous legal name.

- Pissed off| 1 replylmao, called them back 3 times and they really got upset with me and threatened to call the local sheriff on me for calling them back to back and telling them I was going to report them to the authorities. Was too fun!! Really upset them. Everybody Please call them back and tell them how you feel about their scam. Here is one we can get even with. Don't pick an extension and it goes to the next available. They get all excited they have a sucker on the line and you waste their time!

- jlcThanks for setting up this post. I was trying to find out if I should call back. I sounded like a hoax. I'm glad I let my skepticism rule the day! I DONT need more drama in my life!
- CWGot a voice from a guy with name 'Calvin' or 'Melvin' of that type. I did not understand the rest of his message at all after several times of reply ...
- Caller: unknown
- Mary Kayrec'd voice message from Melvin @1.888.284.8918 ext 124 indicating that I had won one of 4 prizes.
My name had been entered within the past 6 months. I need to return her call concerning the prize I have won. I returned call to number provided ,got voice mail but no live person with whom to speak.
I know that I personally had not entered my name in any contests the past 6 months.- Caller: Notification Center

- VickiGot a call from this number, couldn't understand the voicemail and called them back thinking it was for one of my scholarships...When i called them they told me i was one of four entries that won a car. The lady said i sound young and asked my age. I told her 18 and she said i wasn't old enough to claim my prize the someone else would have to. When I asked to her to clarify what this was about and told her i didn't enter anything she got angry with me saying i'm not here to waste your time and that its common for other people to enter for me. She then said forget it, ill withdraw your offer have a good day. seems really fishy. The lady who left me the message was Melanie and the lady whom i spoke with on the phone was named Rhonda. Also when i was talking to my friend on the phone afterwards i heard a beeping noise as if my call was being recorded and it said there was a third party line it did this for several calls.. I'm afraid that they've tapped into my phone hoping to get information.
- Chris| 1 reply2 calls from this number. Both claimed to have tried to contact me "many many" times, and that THIS was their last attempt. (Explain call 2, then??) Says not a cold call (they did know my name...) also that they were aware of do not call list. Time sensitive, etc.
Not really sure if legit or not, not risking calling them back, though.
