Got the same call today...from Richard..., ext 120.  Almost verbatim to what someone said below!

Report this number to the FTC's do not call reporting center if you're on the list - The guy 'Melvin' is the overall supervisor (supposedly) and the name of the company itself allegedly is 'The Notification Center' - Melvin put me on their internal DNC list, so even if someone uses my number again (cough - bs - no one did, this is a cold call center that never checks the Federal DNC - which is illegal) I'll never get another call. They are VERY helpful if you're pissed off & the first thing you say is 'I'm going to sue you, I need the name & address of your company". MY background: 20+ years in programming/I.T. in Telemarketing/Telecom, and helped test the Fed DNC's call-in reporting when the company I was at first wrote it.

I keep reporting them to the Do Not Call list complaint line.  Hope many of you receiving these junk calls do the same so the Feds can eventually get them for violating the Do Not Call law.

I just got a message from 1-888-284-8918 ext.127 to call them in for a drawing that I had put my name in.Prizes were the same Darango,2500.00 dollars,cruise and laptop.Had to go to a place in Apex NC to receive the gifts but had to have a credit card and id plus i am not married.They would not give out prizes if you are not. Sounds like a scam to me.Glad that I checked to number out to find all that has been reported.Looks like something could be about this?

gee there are a lot more than 12 people here that won that car,, got the call on 11 20 2012, had to say I didnt enter any sweepstakes 5 times before they gave up

I just got the call. I'm one of the lucky four. Charlie G ---- I'll join the club --- People who know better and check for facts before being sucked in to bogus offers!!! Nice job.

Received a call from 888-284-8918 extension 124 (Melvin) several times.  Said we won a sweepstakes we entered a year ago.  Sounded like a scam so never returned the call.  Please shut them down!

Same call from Melvin so I left a message saying if the call is about a timeshare, I wasn't interested. A rude lady called me back saying Melvin the supervisor was busy so she's calling. She said what's yor name??? Hello... If I won a prize and supposedly entered a drawing... Shouldn't they know my name.. Regardless of who's calling back?????

Someone from "The Notification Center" left a voicemail stating that my name was pulled from a drawing for a new car I had entered in the last 12-18 months (I don't recall doing that), and that I won one of four prizes, the caller said this is not a cold call.  I couldn't understand most of the message.  Looking at all the posting regarding this phone number, WE ALL ARE WINNERS!  Not everyone can win.  Please don't give these people any of your information.  Wish we could get their information and do to them what they plan to do to all who respond.

I was the recipient of this call this evening.  A lady named Gloria was on the line, telling me I had won either a Dodge Durango, or $2,500, or a TV, or yada yada.  I was definitely going to win one of these prizes.  She was very vague about how they got my number, stating (like others here) that my name was entered in a drawing 12-18 months ago in a shopping center or sports venue.  To win, I needed to go to the Clarion hotel in Fredericksburg, VA tomorrow at 6 or 8 PM, and she was quite insistent that I be there.   When I expressed doubt (not having entered my name in any drawing,) she was very sincere in assuring me it was legitimate.  (Was I supposed to just take her word for it?)  Needless to say, I will be regretfully absent.  I will also be calling the hotel to let them know they're now associated with this scam.

The number on my caller ID said 708 515-9631.  Melvin left the same message about the prizes that you see already written on this site.  He has called twice so far today, but when you call back you should call  888 284-8918.  Yes, Mel is hard to understand.  I have no intention of calling back, and I know I have witnessed what he will no doubt call the lowest part of his career.

Yeah I got the call from 888 284 8918 ext124 and called it back from my cell phone which is the phone they called me on using *67 thinking it would block my number but they told me my name. They must be able to see your number even if you try and call privately. Anyways, she asked if was so and so and I said no, then she said that whoever it was that entered the drawing was someone who had to be over 45 and I'm not so I started laughing and said thanks and hung up. Very strange but definitely a scam of some sort trying to sell you something. Oh yeah, and it was "Melvin" that called me and he's called me like 3 times leaving a message saying it' s my last chance to take advantage of this great offer. SCAM

Glad I didn't pick up the phone while having dinner.  Called 2X consecutively and left message 2nd time.  The audio was bad. I could hardly understand the message but the phone number to call was clear.  Thanks to this board I'm able to piece it together.
