I've received 13 calls in the last four days from this number on my cell.  At first I wouldn't answer and they've never once left a message.  I answered once two days ago telling them to stop calling (like I really expect them to though).  Now, I just answer the phone without saying anything and they hang up within 3 seconds.  This last time I didn't answer at all and they've still not left one message.

If this is still Earthlink, I don't know why they're calling me *and* being jerks calling four times a day.  I've never had an Earthlink account.

This is absolutely Earthlink.  They called to let me know that my credit card ending #### used to pay my web domain services had expired (which it had).  IT IS GENUINE.  This number is not a scam.  I asked them to call me back in 20 minutes which they did.  While I waited for them to call back I logged into my earthlink account and updated the credit card information.  When they called back in 20 minutes they already knew I had updated my account and all they asked was if it was OK to process the payment at this time.  I said OK.  They were very very nice.  At no time did they ask for a credit card number since the one I already had on file just needed the expiration date updated.  

By the way, if you think you do not have an Earthlink account just ask them what the services are.  Your internet provider may have been bought out by Earthlink which is exactly how I ended up with them.  They frequently buy out small internet providers and when they bought Lightspeed.net I ended up with earthlink.

Have gotten calls the last couple of days, two in one day and I've never heard of "Earthlink". Yes they are in violation of the Do Not Call List! If they repeat this I will file a complaint. Enough noise from all of us the Feds should tak action. So complain!

10 calls in the last 24 hours, no message. ID says international. Funny thing is, I don't answer unknown calls but if they identified themselves as Earthlink, I would have answered the one call received when I was home.

Have received over 50 phone calls from this number various times always for a different account with "EarthLink" that I don't have. This go round they never speak when I pick up,
forced to block this number so I don't get called 3 times a day, they won't answer me so I can tell them they need to remove my number.

Claims to be EarthLink but they've called me 80
Times it seems and I don't even have an EarthLink account.

they called today and left message that they are Earthlink ... I did call re my account about a week ago and they have called 2ce.   But they are saying if I have a problem to call ... now I cannot access my account saying the password wrong and I just changed it last week .....
I have paid $21 a month for almost 20 years, and this is really ridiculous ... it is obvious they are calling from India at this hour of the day ~

I just changed my password recently and got a particularly clueless person from East India on the phone.  another calls this morning, I don't answer and get a message about "having problems" call us.   Immediately I cannot log in my account for the past hour.   I think they are trying to create biz for themselves to keep their jobs and justify them.   As soon as I can get my thousand emails transfer to gMail I'm outta here.   No way to treat someone who has paid $21 US a month for nearly two decades ... I should add that up ... let's see ....that's almost $5,000..... I am soon going to be done with their game playing ~

It is from Earthlink, I know for sure-- they call me at odd hours daily asking stupid questions since I am trying to port out my VOIP TRUE VOICE to other company that is a mobile provider.

The process is a nightmare - they don't know what PORTING is and instead they will try to cancel your service, so, if you are not careful, you will lose your phone number.

But according to the FCC regulations, they HAVE TO PORT YOUR NUMBER to basically anywhere you want within the same geographical area!!

I am still awaiting the results. My experience is really upsetting -- the nastiest customer service ever - of course connection and accent are bad as well... Hopefully one day outsourcing our jobs will also be illegal... just like Earthlink's service..

When I had Earthlink Service problems, they never called nor did they return my calls, I spent hundreds of hours trying to finally get away from them by PORTING OUT my VOIP TRUE VOICE number to other provider. Law say it should take only 1 day - it took them nearly a month.

Now, when I finally closed my account, some "Customer Service" from Philippines keeps calling my cell phone and leaves messages asking IF MY PROBLEM WAS SOLVED!! I will not answer in person as it would use too many minutes on my cell phone.

These people got no idea what they are doing other than trying to keep you from quitting Earthlink AKA the worst Internet and Home Phone provider!!!!

Please, stay away from Earthlink!!!

Last had Earthlink 10 years ago through my local ISP. The ISP switched to Roadrunner and my bill has always been billed and paid directly to the ISP. Now about two weeks ago Earthlink is calling me about "my credit card being expired" when I haven't had their service in a decade. I took the first call and explained everything to them but they won't listen and keep calling

I do not want any more call from this number.  I do not have an earthlink acct

I'm one of those people who uses my answering machine to screen calls.  Fifteen or twenty times every  day, I receive calls from 888-327-8454.  Whoever uses that number NEVER leaves any message.  My machine has a "voice announcement" to tell me who is calling.  In the case of 888-327-8454, the machine's automatic voice will announce "Call from toll-free ___?___ (the last word being indistinct).  This number's calls are a real nuisance.  Can anyone tell me how to block these calls?  Thanks in advance.

Called today, but caller ID said Unavailable.  If it really is Earthlink, they need to put their name EARTHLINK on the Caller ID.  I hung up on them because I thought it was a telemarketer.  

I'm getting multiple calls per day from "Earthlink Finance" and I do not have any kind of account with Earthlink. Yesterday I shouted at the man to stop calling me and today a woman called. How do I make it stop??!!

My husband and I have both been getting calls from this number lately.  We do not answer because we have read of scams whereby in you answer or call back, the other party is somehow able to start using your number to make calls and they are charged to your account.  I do have these numbers listed on an earthlink account.  I went to their website and logged in, and found a place to check to not get promotional calls.  However, the website DOES NOT show this number as Earthlink's number for support.  If this does not stop the calls, I will file a compaint with my state's utility commission, as our numbers are on the do not call list.  Somehow I doubt that earthlink would jeopardize their customer relations by making repeated calls like this to cell phones.  I've been an earthlink customer for at least 10 years now, and this is the first time this has happened.  So if it is an earthlink number, then I suspect their number has been hijacked somehow.

1-888-327-8454 is Earthlink, and I just had very good experience with them.

Be aware that the number listed on their "contact us" page is 1-800-327-8454, and it appears to have been taken over by a scammer.

888-327-8454 and showing "Earthlink" on my caller ID has called twice today (on a Sunday) on my land line. (I am already on the FCC DNC List.) I did not answer either time and they did not leave a message. I do not have an account with them and have no intention of changing providers. After reading these comments, I will continue not to answer their calls. Thanks for the posts.
