888-327-8454 has called me 4 times in the last 4 days, including at 8:01 AM this morning. Caller ID shows "Earthlink". I do not have and have never had an account with Earthlink so I have never answered these calls. I appreciate the posts from people who have talked with them, so I know I don't have to answer the phone. My number is also on the DNC list, for what good it does.

This is Earthlink, but they call persistently (12 times in a day is highly excessive) and they do sound fishy when they talk to you. It's bad business for them to behave in this manner and to run their billing operations like this, but it's what they do.

I have received two to four calls a day from 888-327-8454.
They do not reply when I answer and do not seem to record me telling them not to call

This was a survey from Earthlink for an earlier service request by a person that could not speak no more understandable english than was spoken to for the service request. MAN, their employees are , to try to be a little more polite, the pitts!

Same thing happened to me this morning - June 22, 2014

I have created a new contact on my phone and named it Junk / Spam. So, when I get these calls, I know that I really don't need to answer. Eventually, they seem to stop calling.

I have been getting calls repeatedly from EarthLink. I blocked there calls now but they keep calling,I closed out my account 20 years ago.
Just for fun I called this 888 number and got a foreigner ( Indian ) and I told him to cancel my account again and don't call again as I am on the no call list?
I got an email that says 0 balance,printed same ,kept copy sent other copy to EarthLink address in St.Louis mo. Saying cancel my account again. Got a call again which I blocked,they call 4 or 5 times a day.

I keep getting calls from this number.  The one time I answsered, a recorded voice told me to hold for the next available representative, without identifying the company.  I have not answered since, but I still get these calls numerous times a day.  It is now to the point of harassment.

GOT SEVERAL CALLS THE LAST 3 DAYS AND ABOUT 3 TIMES A DAY.  THEY DON'T LEAVE MESSAGES. TODAY I ANSWERED IT AND THEY SAID NOTHING AND THEN DISCONNECTED.  
IT IS EARTHLINK NUMBER B/C  IT SAYS ON MY PAPER, CALL THIS NUMBER FOR SUPPORT.
WELL, YOU HAVE JUST BEEN BLOCKED B/C THAT FOOLISHNESS WILL STOP NOW!  I DO HAVE AN EARTHLINK ACCOUNT, BUT I DON'T NEED THEM CALLING ME!

they called saying my payment with Visa card (automatic withdrawal) was rejected, and gave me last four numbers of a Visa card I had changed over 6 months ago.  They were unable to explain why my bill had been paid automatically for 6 months with no problems with a new credit card and they did not know what it was.  I will call later when I get home and call the number I have from the emails I get when my bill is automatically paid.  The caller was a female with Indian accent.  I think they were phishing for a credit card number --they said they were from Earthlink

888-327-8454 is indeed identified as coming from Earthlink.  We get 2 to 3 calls a day.  I have call blocker, but it still rings once before being blocked.
Calling that number connects to some guy in India who gives a phony name, refuses to route my call to a supervisor, or to a person in this country.  I have talked to 3 different "representatives" and they all said they would "immediately" take our number out of their database.  They lied.

Call me 5 times a day. Bill is paid in full. Earthlink scam.

I do have an account with Earthlink, and they called me today from this number about a legitimate business matter.

Had a problem with email on my earthlink account.  I thought I was troubleshooting with Earthlink. They said I can call them in 24 hurs if problem was not resolved.  I got a call several hours later at this phone number basically wanting to fix my problem and they wanted to sell me more memory on my email account.

receive call from  8665163885  claiming they are from EarthLink and  that they need it to  up date  my  info, form where I pay  because it has expire which is a lie I  requested   for a phone  number  where to return the call  gave me (888)  327 8454  the  person  that call a refuse to give name  just kept saying  need to update  paying  account  THIS  HAS TO BE  A SCAM

Just showed ID as "Toll Free Call."  Did not answer, no message

Have had SPAM filtering probs on my Earthlink service, and previously reported it to their on-line site. Got a call from Earthlink on 888-327-8454 responding to my issue. Sounded like male w/slight Indian or Pakistani accent. While on the phone, person said they were getting into my acct to try to find the prob. He did not need my PW, he said he had that, only needed my OK to get in.  But he had no success. He called again and this time said they will be changing my PW, but that effort also failed to get to the bottom of the problem. I did get an email from Earthlink right away telling me they had entered my system. So for now, I think it is legit.

I called the number back and Earthllink answered. They used previously set security questions to confirm me, and enabled me to learn the new PW the tech is using to find the answer to my SPAM issue. I used the new PW to get into my email. And I found several other Earthlink emails regarding what was happening. I now have no doubt the number is for real. But as we all know, it may be spoofed at times by the evil ones for your incoming calls, so it pays to be vigilant about what you say to incoming callers.
