Got a post card and a letter after getting the Title address changed. They both just had a phone and confirmation number with a message about extended warranties. Picked one of the two and called and one guy answered got some car info and transferred me to another department where his manager could approve an extended warranty.
Finally, after a lot of sales pitching and my questions, he started making fun of me and challenging me about not buying the extended warranty. When it became uncomfortable that he was making fun of me, I hung up and decided to Google the number. :)

It wasn't a call but a postcard, as others have received.  Funny thing though, I bought my car 10 yrs ago; it has 160,00 miles on it - been out of warranty for awhile.  I hope they call me, I'd like to play with that.

unwanted postcards and then phone calls trying to sell me an extended warranty on my recently purchased vehicle.  Beyond rude, and expected personal info.  Way wrong!  Just don't talk to them, is my advice.

Just got a postcard in the mail claiming this is their "final attempt" to call me, even though there is no existing relationship. I've actually owned the car since January, bought in Indiana, licensed in KY, but since I moved out of state and changed my title, I guess my new states' DMV sold my information. Awesome. Also my cars warranty expired before I bought it bc it's used. Nice try, scam, with "my warranty is about to expire" lol.

Just purchase my Lexus GS 350 - Nov 26th - Received postcard in the mail within a week. Big red letters saying warranty about to expire. Called 1-888-395-8636 spoke with telemarketer, said  the extended warranty would cost me $3800 for additional 4years, wasn't feeling his pitch...Told the guy on phone I was going to do my due diligence and follow back up with him.... Thank you for this site helping me to confirm what I was thinking in my spirit...This SCAM for money.

Another moldy car warranty scam postcard. No made up company name or address. According to these dopes, the warranty on my 2015 truck is about to expire. How stupid. These idiots should check their junk mail before sending. New cars have a 3 yr warranty. Forwarding to postal inspectors for investigation. Another final notice. Then their scam will expire. Ignore these, do not call them or buy their useless warranty.

Didn't receive a call but received three different postcards on the same day for a car purchased one week ago. Phone #888-395-8636, 800-264-3023, 888-714-4945. Did not call any of these numbers, not that stupid. But isn't it some kind of federal offense when the US postal service is used for fraud?

While misleading, these mailed notices about "expired" car warranties are not illegal per se, unfortunately. Just recycle or toss in the trash.

Any communication received by US mail which appears fraudulent, should be
taken down to the local post office so that the postal inspectors can take a look at it.
This may be some sort of mail fraud.

No use forwarding to postal authorities or to anyone. It's obviously impossible to stop these scammers. It has become a curse of modern living.
