- KimberleyCalls my phone about once to twice a day, never leaves a messege
- eric replies to Charles| 1 replythis is JP Recovery. I have medical bills from both of my sons stay in the hospital. Because I haven't paid the massive bill the Hospital sold my account. I have an arrangement JP Recovery to pay $50 until it is paid off. $50 dollars will take two lifetimes to payoff but it keeps them off my back. but, if you are one day late they will keep calling until you pay.
- College studentThis number would call a few times a day, then it eventually dwindled down to about 2-3 times a week. They've only left a message once claiming they are debt collectors and to call them back. I have no debt owed, so this must be a scam of some sort. I haven't called them back and I don't plan on it.
- Caller: JP Recovery Service

- Mario replies to College StudentAlmost all the new smartphones have the ability to block a # without going through the carrier ... Just block the #
- waterfallsI get calls from this number 2-3 times aweek. I dont use an answering machine but have caller iI D. They can call all they want and I won't ever pick up! It' a wasted effort on their part. The company is J P recovery which is actually a collection agency.
I also am suppose to be on the no call list. So I assume it doesn't count with collection agencies.- Caller: J P Recovery

- deb| 1 replyI answered a call from this number. The lady on the other end asked me to verify my mailing address. I told her I would, only after she stated who it was calling me. She then told me she couldn't give me that information until I verified who I was by giving her my address. I again told her I wasn't giving her ANY information until I knew who was calling me. She rudely responded by saying she has my birth date and last 4 of my social, but needs me to verify who I am. Yeah, I hung up REAL quick.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Maybe one day they will quit bothering me. I don't answer any unknown callers. Period.
- Larry8884043721 have no idea who it is but want to stop, cannot call back
- Caller: ?
- Sam Gaston replies to KaylaYes you can stop them from calling, even if owe them money. I'm filing for bankruptcy, i give them my attorney's name and phone number. Once you advise them of this, they are no longer to call you by law. They have to communicate with your attorney.
- nancy replies to jadalWHEN THEY CALL BACK get their "name" (which will be phony) and then file a complaint with the attorney general in your state. ILLEGAL to call a person who is not the debtor. tell them if they continue you will press charges and demand they be fined.
- AnonymousSThey called. I never answer numbers I don't know or are unidentifiable. They left a message but honestly I dunno who is calling and what it may be regarding.
- Caller: I don't know
- M72newT replies to ericThat's funny.. At least your trying..
- John FosterlyI have no idea if this company does any legitimate business or not. I do know that each time I get one of these 888 numbers and look it up it is JP Recovery Services. I can tell you with no uncertainty that they have tried to scam my mother out of money that she never owed. Nothing on her credit report. She never had bank accounts with any of the debtors. These scammers just try to steal your money through fear. If just 1 person they call today falls for it and they collect it is worth it for them. I have never been called by these people before, until I stupidly had my Mom give these callers my number because they kept harassing her. I spoke to one of their leaders, who was American by the way, who kept the pressure on with all kinds of stories of sheriffs coming to her door and all that. My guess is his payback for me not being stupid enough to fall for his lies was to enter my number in their system so they will call continue to call me now. I just reject and block each number, no big deal. But people, check your credit report! It is free once per year. If the debt they are trying to collect (if they even provide that information) is not on there then you know it is a scam!!
- Caller: JP Recovery Services Inc
- Dawn replies to jadaljp morgan is a 3rd party debt collector. They are bound by the fair debt collection practices law. They can call you upto 4 times a day and leave one message. If you tell them DO NOT CALL and they persist you can bring legal action against them.
- Get your facts straightIt is NOT JP Morgan Chase. It is JP Recovery, a hospital bill collection agency. Do not call applies to telemarketers, NOT to collections. If this company is calling, it is in regard to a legitimate debt.
