- Mrs. not a fool replies to mr casI call B.S. this post is from someone who works at this ridiculous agency and may be the so called "Mr. Anthony" himself posing as another fake character. Even if you have a debt, which is not uncommon, isn't the worst thing in life to deal with. At least we are not these bullies who will face their own wrath one day, which will most likely be a much bigger, serious, and unlpleasent consequence then our unpaid debt would ever bring. Karma is real. Not this nationwide b.s. scam.
- Mrs. not a fool replies to WhateverAll the posts referencing that people who don't pay their bills are the pathetic ones or who are defending this fake debt company is obviously one of them. Why else would they be on here commenting? Everyone else probably put these jerks number in Google or what not to see who the h#!! Keeps harassing them or to see if this could possibly be real after they hear the things out of one of the scammers mouths once they realize they are not getting a dime from you. If you had a legit, smoothe, good experience paying an old debt you wouldn't go online and find a comment thread associated with their number, read it, and decide to defend them with some of the same lines they use to bully people... Such as.. "Take care of your responsibilities etc." Come on no one is that loyal to the person taking their money.
- wow! replies to Response to CollectorThe more these scammers talk, the more they throw themselves under the bus. Ok Collector... We'll see you in court.
- highfive replies to Gunnar| 1 replyLoved your response! This gentleman is calling me by the name of Dominick. He says I owe on a loan and I needed to pay in full. I told him I would be sending documents proving I had paid that loan. I gave more and never even missed a payment. I asked him for an address where I can send documentation...guess what he couldn't provide me with that information. Hmmmmm. He still calls.
- yup replies to highfiveI got the same call from the same guy. After refusing to answer the phone I received a letter in the mail from Willard Fields Law. I looked up all information pertaining to this law firm and it is limited. What really boggles me is that Willard Fields was in connection with 2 people who were being convicted of starting a fake mortgage lending company. It says he's a real estate broker, but if you go to his website there's no picture of either one of the so called " Bankruptcy" lawyers. On the letter it says to call Nationwide Debt Mnmgmt solutions to the same number that back tracks to this lawyer. Hmmmm... well the good thing is I paid off my debt tomy creditors by making the money to the local company and told them I required a paid off letter.
- Damion| 1 replyCalled my parents homeat 9PM and told my father that I defaulted on a secured loan, and that they sent a letter to me giving me 10 days to respond and that today was the final day and if I did not respond they would be taking legal action including levying my bank accounts and garnishing my pay. I immediately called and they would not speak to me at all without giving my social security number and date of birth. When I told them that I did not feel comfortable providing that information to them as I did not know who they were or why they contacted my parents, the woman Alethia at extension 207 said that she could not discuss anything with me without giving her that information. When I told her that she already gave information to my father who supposedly has nothing to do with this outstanding debt, she proceeded to tell me that all she told my father was that it was an urgent business matter and she needed to speak to me. When I asked her if she was calling my father a liar, she would not answer the question and then hung up on me.

The BBB - davidout of the numerous collectors Nationwide DMS has been the up front and patient with my issues. The staff is courteous, and understanding. These guys even let you talk. When they speak to you it don't sound like dictating.
Nationwide DMS put their efforts into helping you resolve the situation. - GDThe company is Nationwide Debt Management Solutions. They are based in Sacramento, Calif. They don't manage debt, they collect it. They've had about a dozen situations where the BBB had to step in and the company ultimately promised to behave. They are also presently defending two lawsuits against them in California. There may be others. They collect "junk debt" for investors who buy the debt for pennies on the dollar. They aren't interested in your stories or excuses - or even airtight evidence you don't owe the money. All they care about is getting that check. My advice is to contact the original creditor if Nationwide becomes abusive. And if you find yourself on the phone with these folks, end the call quickly. Do not admit a debt is owed.

- MSRichard Anthony calls my cell phone and job and my parents home constantly. Among other things, he's called me a f#gg#t (excuse my language) that borrowed money I never intended to repay and put my mommy and daddy in a position to answer for his baby of a son... After these conversations of constantly being talked at like this I could owe a million dollars and not care anymore. In the end, it's just going to keep happening until a next step or they give up. Nothing will truly happen if I file a report with any agency regarding their actions and behavior. I can't believe he's still permitted to do this to people. By saying still permitted I mean whoever is his higher up or those that monitor his actions or position. He's a cruel JA.

This is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, etc. all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

- AngelaThis is the most UN-PROFESSIONAL company I have ever worked with! I have spoken to a John Call (Hall ?) and Erik who claims he is the "CFO" of the company. I was called "snoody" after I find out this company called my place of employment and asked an employee "is Angela in your current line of sight??" I told John this made me very uncomfortable and to not call back again. He stated that I needed to "just get over it!" I immediately pulled my credit report and reviewed my 2 collections. (divorce a few years ago)... I then called the firms showing up on Credit Karma and confirmed the account in collections and set up a payment plan. I called back to Erik, who refused to accept any form of payment plan, but wanted my $2900 in full, today, and let him know that I was taking care of this through the original debtor. He in turn told me "I had been mistaken" and that I made the wrong decision. After this last phone call, I was told that he would be forwarding my case to his attorney.
