Keep calling, never leave messages. I can't stand these people.

The Lupus people only get a tiny percentage of the money these liars screw out of you, either your money donations or by selling your old clothes. The telemarketers keep the rest. Shame on you, lupus society, for encouraging these bast*rds to hassle us day in and day out. I have asked them to stop calling many times. They don't. I will never donate a penny, or even a single old filthy t-shirt, to these jerks.

I don't care if this group is the kindest, nicest, most generous charity on Earth.  Whenever the caller ID says "out of area," "unavailable," or something along those lines, the caller has made it clear that he has something to hide.  I don't do business with such.

Called around 7:50 pm. Let the call go through to voicemail when I saw 'Unavailable' for caller ID. Dead air when the machine picked up. Saved the number to the phonebook (this is on an Uniden handset) with ringtone set to 'no ring' - so I won't be bothered the next time they call.

Well they stopped calling for about a month and a half and started again around Christmas time.  I still say a legitimate charity would honor have honored my request to be put on their do no call list.

Well I don't trust this organization. I requested to be put on their do not call list and they are still calling. So as far as I am concerned this is a bogus organization.

That proves this alleged charity should not be trusted.

I beg to differ. I requested to be put on their do not call list and they called back a month and a half later. That is not very compliant in my book.

888-445-8787 was the number given to me by a Supervisor ("Phil Zayas") whose call center (Apogee Retail) was soliciting for donations to (allegedly) the Lupus Foundation.  

Phil wouldn't provide anything more than State (later City too); a web search suggests that the street address of Apogee Retail LLC is 3620 23rd Street in Columbus, NB.

They called for about the fourth time in less than a week. Once again I requested to be put on their do not call list. The woman claimed that she will give the information to her manager. Somehow I doubt it will work since I have already gone through this before.

This is Lupus and they get an award for most obnxious persistent robo caller. If you email donate@lupus.org or  Michelle Markussen  michellem@apogeeretail.com , they will take you off the list. As for non profit, I googled Lupus and something like $.50  of every dollar goes toward fund raising, not research and the CEO makes $250,000.

I asked them to be put on their do not call list before and the calls stopped for less than two weeks. I don't trust them to follow through with my request.

It is the number I have for the Lupus Foundation. I looked it up on their postcard sent to me. I have donated clothes, appliances, etc. to them in the past.

I have no problem with their calling, esp. since I want to recycle items, as long as they don't harass me.  I just wish caller ID would indicate the caller.

I get calls 24/7 from 888-445-8787.  I never pick up when I see their number on my Caller ID.   Will these calls ever stop?

All those calls  - Lupus, Vets, Breast Cancer, Miracle Network are all made by the same call center.  I don't know how much they skim off the top of those donations before they go to the charities they are calling for.  You are better off contacting them directly.

I tried opting out and it doesn't work. I was getting 4 calls a week every week.  I had to change my phone number.

This organization REFUSES honor my request to be put on their do not call list! I asked to be put on their do not call list back in January and they called again today. I have made two to three polite requests to be put on their do not call list without success.
In my opinion this alleged organization doesn't care about privacy! How many times does somebody have to ask to be put on a do not call list in order to get the calls to stop? I think once is more than enough . Because of that I was forced to block this number. I just hope they don't try calling from another one.
