So heres my story and I'm sure all of you will find this to be really interesting.  First I get a call from an unknown number.  It was a woman claiming to be calling from the queens county subpoena processing dept and she needed to verify either my home address of work address so she could deliver it.  So granted I asked her what this was for (somewhat panicked I admit) and she said she had a number for me to call which was 18772407048 for USC mediation lawfirm.  So I called and I was connected to this guy by the name of Rob Davis.  He told me that I was being sued by a company called Loan Point USA and if I wanted to settle this amount I would have to pay $1000.  I asked him for his company's website he said he did not have one.  Then I asked for him to send me a debt validation letter and he said he couldn't do that either.  So I told him I would call back.  I did my research and that's when I realized this is a scam.  So I called Rob Davis back today and at first I started by asking why my subpoena was not delivered yet.  We started arguing back and forth and I realized that this was not the way to break him.  So I started to flirt and talk dirty.  AND IT WORKED!!! He started flirting back and he started to call me and text me from his personal cell number.  He admitted that this whole state processor thing was [***] and its just their way of forcing ppl to pay them money out of fear.  On the downside...this guy is constantly harassing me now but its fine.  It was worth it just to get information.  So Sally Jones...based on what you posted...I wouldnt be surprised if you are actually "rob davis"....now [removed:lang] off before I post your cell number on here.

the new number is 877 578-6774. they collect for payday advance loan places. They called me on behalf of a good friend. She said she called them and they are asking her to pay a past due bill that my friend has already paid and has proof. They try to trick people, expecially those
who did not keep record of paying their pay day loan back.

So, I got the same call several weeks ago and will admit that I owed from a payday loan years back.  They set up bi-weekly payments for me to get this paid off.  Every 2 weeks when my payment was due I received a call to tell me my credit card declined.  I would panic and call my bank and the payment had in fact gone through.  I had finally had enough after the 4th time they called and told me the payment was declined.  This was my final payment due so I told the woman named sylvia jackson that they needed to get themselves together and quit wasting my time.  She told me to not call and get smart and hung up on me.  I called back 5 times and asked who regulated them and kept getting hung up on.  They refuse to give me any information.  They have messed with the wrong person.  Any info or numbers anyone has to help me would be great.  I will get to the bottom of this nonsense!!!!

These people are just awful!!! I received a similar scare tactic from USC Associates this morning (877-578-6747) The "you're going to be served if you don't pay us the money or negotiate right now". Of course initially I was freaking out (the call came in at 8am) I kinda felt like they were a collection agency, just simply because I've had to serve people in my line of work before and something didn't seem right. This is regarding an old account for a company called Cashcall (who are just predatory jerks!). Anyhow, I just got a call from my mom who said she was contacted by someone named Jennifer Jones who told her I needed to be contacted because I was being SUED!!!! This is just uncalled for, mind you I dont live with my mom, and I dont even know how they would get her number! I'm going to file a complaint with the Attorney General too....I believe in taking care of your debts and have tried working with the company to settle this, but these type of tactics just make me want to tell them to get lost....isn't this illegal? I mean they don't need to contact my family & friends.

If you owed it you should pay it. What's the problem. Pay it. Get a receipt and save it for your personal records. It should feel good to get out of debt people! Not scary.

Cash Call? You mean the billing servicer for those high interest Western Financial type installment loans you see on TV? Are you serious 1bzygurl? Isn't illegal for those places to exist and charge Americans that kind of interest? Or are you the dupe for signing up for one in the first place. You please amaze me at your whinning. If someone ever called me claiming they were going to sue me I WOULD CALL THEM IMMEDIATELY! Then if I found out indeed it was one of my personal debts that I accured by my own free will I WOULD PAY IT!!! You run to your A.G. when you need to be running to your telephone to work something out so your poor mother is bothered. Oh wait...I get it America...WE'RE ALLOWED TO BORROW $ IN THIS COUNTRY AND PAY IT BACK WHEN & HOW WE WANT TO BECAUSE THIS IS AMERICA!

What a joke and a shame because our children will learn the same bad habits from us. I've worked in the financial industry for over 40yrs and am amazed and how coddled this generation is. No sense of strong morals anymore. PAY YOUR DEBTS!! IT IS ONLY RIGHT!! Until people get it...I'll always support debt recovery in all of it's form. Out of civil court or not. I don't care....you people need to WAKE UP!!!!

And educate yourselves AMERICA please. Get off of facebook and twitter and read. Get knowledge. Ignorance is costly and costs our great county each day. Where did any of you get this notion you can't be sued for not paying an old loan? What planet are you all on? IN AMERICA, WHERE WE ALL LIVE the holder of the loan reserves the right to do whatever they want to do with your old loan. They can sue you if they choose depending on the amount and how long unpaid, they can call you or mail you letters. Heck they don't legally have to do anything if they so choose. WAKE UP AMERICA! Start reading! I suggest Dave Ramsey as a foundation. Stop putting these people in position of power in the first place. Stay away from high-risk high interest loans that obligate you to pay 140% value of what you actually borrow. Stop getting payday loans. What a horrible idea that has now somehow been accepted in our culture. In my day if we couldn't afford it we went without. Now we ask companies to pay us our paycheck money early because we've mismanaged it so badly that we can't even wait for our next paycheck? Where has our great nation gone? And if these people/companies are in a position of power over you for whatever reason....get out from under their power!!! PAY YOUR DEBTS!! DON'T GO BACK!!! USE CASH!! DON'T SPEND WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE!!!! Only loan you should ever NEED to have is a mortgage to provide shelter for your family.

    Aggravated Harrasment
Yo Glenn...get this through your head.  You can not harass ppl at work or at there home or their friends and family and then threaten them with criminal charges and jail time.  last I heard...oweing money is not a criminal offense WHILE HARASSMENT IS!!!   You guys think you are smart by calling us with blocked numbers and phantom companies.  Well i'll tell you what...I have been working with my local precinct who has my work and my personal number tapped...so they can hear and trace everything.  so give it time and all of you will end up behind bars and all of us will be there laughing.

You sound like a shifty dodging thief actually. Which is why your 'Anonymous'. What's wrong? You don't want people knowing you took a payday loan out and never even bothered to pay it back? WAKE UP AMERICA!!! This is what happens when you don't pay your bills. You enter a whole new world you have no clue how to navigate through. And I highly doubt you work for a law firm because you would know that law firms are not under FDCPA guidelines. Collection agencies are. Doesn't sound like a collection agency to me that called you. May you should have your 'attorney' call. What a joke! PAY YOUR BILLS PEOPLE!!!!

I received a voicemail from this company also.  However the lady who left the voicemail, one didn't identify who she was or what company/organization she was calling from.

She only stated that she got my paperwork on her desk and that I was charged with fraud.  She gave me a phone number and case number and stated that if they are unable to serve me it would be transferred to the criminal courts here to follow up.

She stated I would be served that day with my home address and work address on record for criminal charges.

I called the number and spoke to Daniel Williams who put me on hold for about 5 minutes when I asked for a debt validation letter. Jordan Sims then came on the phone and stated it was beyond that, that I had been contacted (they gave me an address I hadn't lived in for five years prior to the debt) and they had my current phone number.

Why they wouldn't contact me at the address that would be listed on the paperwork of the original debt is beyond me unless they were intentionally trying to subvert my ability to fight the amount of the debt (which is beyond the State of CA and MI payday loan limits for interest and beyond the contract amount) by getting a default judgment.

One, a debt collector cannot threaten you with criminal prosecution or imply that they have legal authority to do so.  Only a prosecuting attorney can and only if they have evidence that you intended not to pay the loan when you entered into the contract.  Simply not being able to pay a loan or having insufficient funds to cover the ACH is not fraud.

Second in the state of Michigan using the shame card by implying they will serve me with criminal charges at my job so everyone would know I have a debt there is illegal.

They refuse to give you their address so that you cannot communicate in writing with them to refuse the debt or amount.

I've contacted an attorney who listened to the voicemail who advised me to file a complaint with the FTC and Attorney General which I have.

He stated they not only violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act but weren't too smart leaving the voicemail that proves it.

Glenn, you can laugh, ridicule, rant and say whatever you want...while I have a lot of things I'd like to type and say to you, I won't waste my time. You can try and bully people, but in the end bullies always get what is coming to them....I don't owe you, or anyone else any explanations or excuses. I came here to express my opionion and obtain information and have done just that. Thank you and have a great day!

Its one thing for someone to call and ask for the money you owe, its another for them to call and speak to a female with such vulgar language. So your saying its OK for companies to bully people that are going through a tough time financially? It's OK to threaten someone and say nasty things to a woman that isn't even involved in the situation? You are a ridiculous excuse for an American. I hope you lose everything one day so you know how it feels to struggle and then have someone call you cussing you out instead of properly asking for their payment. Get a clue buddy.

I think you have a valid point about paying debts, BUT....people have hard times, and they do not necessarily avoid paying. They may not be able to pay due to a hardship.  This site was created to provide support and recommendations for victis, not give them a hard time.  If you don't have a valid complaint about the fraudulent company these people are talking about, why are you even on here.

"It is better to remain silent and thought a fool, than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt."  You should practice this quote!

I can say without any hesitation, YOU are the biggest   d o  u c h e  b a g  I have encountered! You have no right whatsoever to be so harsh and critical to people. And instead of spending time on this site you should work on your vocabulary!!  What you misspelled:  county, whinning & accured.  The correct spelling is country, whining & accrued. Hahaha!! You wrote we live in this "great county."  You are a true jerk!!!!!!!

This company needs to stop. I'm getting calls from this number 877 889 4659. I don't let them rattle me. They are the ones getting upset. They are saying I'm wasting their time. WHAT?? These people are wasting my time. They don't want to validate the debt. I've been in contact with the correct dept company. They don't want to hear this. Maybe they will listen to the FTC since I just filed a complaint against them.
