i just got call from this number and no voice heard ... not bothering to call back ...assuming some business call...

Hi ther ethis number has called me 3 days in a row, when answered no one speaks , and no one leaves a message please stop calling us .

Discovered how to get on their DNC list though; CALL THE NUMBER BACK.

The robot on the other line will direct right to the do not call list.

Whether they live up to it or not is the question.

ring the number 18885565158. After the initial "welcome, we were trying to call you" it will ask whether you want to stop the calls to your number  - push "1". It will then ask for your phone number and to spell your name. Hopefully this will work and it will stop.
Any 800 or 888 number during the day now if they ask for "Anne" plus my last name I hang up. If they don't know my first name and that I'm not "Mr" then they are not a necessary caller.

keep calling me in Western Canada now for around 2 weeks, I have on my display at least 30 calls now received withing 8 business days from 888-556-5185 on my unlisted, residential phone number.

The first time I picked up because I planned on whistling in the phone when I saw the 1-888 number. But they hang up while I put the phone to my ear. The second time I picked up and said HELLO, a woman with very strong east indian accent said: EEELLOOOOOOOO!, when I repeated my HELLO she hang up. I put them on my call block, with my Panasonic phone so I still can see who called.

I phoned several times back with SKYPE, always busy, until I got through.
"THANK YOU FOR CALLING. WE TRIED TO REACH YOU IN BEHALF OF "Capital One".
These friggin' A$$%^(#s... ! How [***] must somebody be to call around 30 times and getting thrown out after one ring without "getting the message" ???

CAPITAL ONE!!!!!! stop harassing people!!  nobody wants to deal with you [***] anyhow!
I have the idea that ROGERS sells phone numbers since I am getting also other [***]-calls to my unlisted prepaid cell phone number. NO ONE has this number, and my number does not show when I call somebody.

I do hope that these people who are making these calls die a horrible and slow dead while they have to watch how their children are eaten by wild animals.

I wrote CAPITAL ONE a "nice" letter today. Just DO NOT give them YOUR phone number, they are relentless and inconsiderate towards other human beings. All these postings are evidence enough.

this time I picked up, waited until the female [***] with east indian accent said EEEELOOOOO and I asked her: "can it be that you are an A$$#@%e who's harassing strangers?"  CLICK... she hang up.

So, it is obvious that these calls are not being made for offering something like a credit card, a service or similar. It is JUST to harass people.
This was the 7th (SEVENTH!) call today.

Rott in hell, f$*#&ng telemarketers. Karma works usually and I hope it gets your whole familiy and friends.

The answering machine said: Thank you for calling. We tried to reach you in behalf of CAPITAL ONE. If you want to put your number on our DO NOT CALL LIST - press "1". If you want to receive a call back - press "2".
I pressed 2 and left "888-556-5158" as call-back-number.

They are having probably a blast while calling their own number back, since they are probably not smart enough to know their own number.

THIS is my advice: EVERYONE call 888-556-5158, then wait for the machine and wait until you get to the part: "press 2". Then leave 888-556-5158 on their machine. You will also be able to leave them a message! Be creative....have fun with these dimwits.

go to YOUTUBE and look for --  "On hold" message for telemarketers  -- (I copied the title of the video) , send a shortcut of the video to your desktop and whenever one of these dimwits phone then click on the shortcut, crank the volume up and keep doing whatever you were doing before the dimwits phoned.....

I can't stop gigglin'.... I took the 888-556-5158 on Monday, June 11th from the blocked caller list on my phone and let it ring.
Picked up twice, just said HELLO and then played the ** "On hold" message for telemarketers ** from Youtube .

NO call on Tuesday anymore..... after getting pestered for weeks now every single day...

ROFL!!!!!! They might got it while listening to "your telemarketing BS is important to us, please hold..."

Additional I phoned at least 20 times their 888-556-5158 number and when it asked for "pres 2"/for leaving a call-back-number then I punched in " 888-556-5158 " with the message "please call back soon!".
