Oh, now Stephen and Michelle Cuccia are into another scam are they?

I cannot tell you the GRIEF they have put us through in the past.  They used to be into illegal Reverse Mortgages in the State of Washington (this was after Stephen's conviction in California....I wish I had Googled STEPHEN Cuccia then instead of Steven Cuccia....our lives would be so much better), and my parents were bilked out of money you don't even want to hear about.  If their lawyer hadn't been being investigated, we never would have known about it, and we would have lost my parents' beautiful home.  As it is, now we're STILL paying for the home they already owned, free and clear.

To anyone who would even consider falling for their tricks, I implore you to run the other way as fast as you can. They are the scum of the earth to target seniors. It broke our hearts.

I am so sorry to hear about your parents. I know the anguish this must have caused your family. There are more victims in Washington state and I wish the state had done more to the Cuccias than just slapping them with a fine. They are both world class liars and I feel badly for anyone that is taken in by them. We were also victimized by these two and I continue to monitor their whereabouts whenever I can. I am happy to see that others are continuing to check up on them as I believe they are NEVER going to stop their scamming.

Here's a tip to all of you. Find out the companies true information. If you are one of the people that has told them not to call you again and they call back after that, you can sue them. By law, once you have told them not to contact you anymore, they must comply. You can sue them for $500 for every call that they made to you after you told them to stop. The maximum depends on what state you live in. Here in Illinois, we can sue up to $10,000. I am in the process of doing this with another company. The next time they contact you, tell them you want them to send you a copy of their Do Not Call Policy. If they do not, that is another $500 you can sue them for. All business must legally provide this when asked. Go to your local small claims court and file. It does not cost much (usually under $100). It is worth it! Money in your pocket and helping put a stop to these scammers!
    P.S.
Does anyone know if this company is linked to a company called A B Vacations? They have people from the Philippines calling for the same reason.

I feel sorry for all of you people who have nothing better to do than to slander people you do not even know or know anything about. I happen to personally know the people that own World VIP travel, all of the complaints on this page about a lincoln navigator or a holly person, or scamming seniors are not accurate, they a false and pretty sad how people can write anything they want on the internet and send it into space and there isn't a damn thing you can do to change it or correct it. These are good and honest people who are actually helping people. Please do not believe all of the lies and comments from people who don't know any better. This is an excellent business and if you really want to know what is going on check the BBB reports and the report for the product they sell. They helped me get out of my timeshare nitemare and I am very happy. I would recommend this company to anyone I cared about. Shame Shame Shame on you people who write crap about things you know nothing about. GET A F>>>> Life.

Well, well, well...they didn't waste much time getting acquainted with the court system in Idaho.

I feel badly for anyone that runs across these people and ends up victimized by their tactics.

(and oh yeah...impressive resume. Guess you can't put prison time and bilking little old ladies out of their retirement income on there. No wonder it's low on content.)

I don't believe that this is these folks. The guy I spoke with at this company just now let me know that he's had nothing but trouble since he hired this company to do a regional promotion back in April 2010. He ended up firing them. (And is it any wonder why?)

I'd encourage you not to hassle the folks at World VIP travel. The promo company they worked with was called ITC, a guy by the name of Marvin Israel owns it, from what I was told.

    He's the guy to hassle.

I received a phone message last night from a Michelle with a company called VANDELL COMMUNICATIONS (phone# 773-891-5637) which said they were NOT a timeshare or a telemarketer and they "were very aware of the DO NOT CALL LIST" so they would not be calling me without me filling out an entry form.  Apparently my entry form was filled out within the past 12-18 months and guess what, MINE was pulled to receive one of the top 4 prizes (listed in order: Ford Focus or $25,000 in cash, $2500 in cash, 2 night vacation and airfare to one of many destinations, and lastly a 32in TV).   The message advised me to return this call as soon as possible as this was a "Time Sensitive" issue and the phone # that was given was toll free 866-312-9553.

    SOUND FAMILIAR ???

When I called back and dialed Michelle's extension I got a Gloria Johnson.  I asked to speak with Michelle and was told that she was not available as she was in a conference meeting and if I gave Gloria my name she could give me all the needed information.  I said that I would call back later to speak with Michelle and Gloria told me that Michelle may not be available later and this was "time sensitive" as the "awards" were to be presented on Wed March 30, 2011.  Gloria asked for my name which I would not give her but then she actually addressed me by my name (so they apparently have some type of caller ID).  After she advised me of what the awards were she asked what day would be best for me to come and get my scratch of style ticket which would indicate which one of the 4 prizes I would actually win.  I was told that the company actually awarding the prizes was a company called AB VACATIONS located at 1425 Tri State Parkway, Suite 130 in Gurnee, Illinois.  She then told me that I had a choice of going on either Wed 3-30-11 at 6pm or Thurs 3-31-11 at 8pm.

ALREADY SOUNDS MIGHTY FISHY TO ME !!!!

But I played along and told them that Thurs 3-31 would be best.  I was told to be there by 6:30pm sharp even though she told me the awards presentation was to be at 8pm.  When I caught her at this she said "Oh yes, I am sorry, you are correct 8pm).  I was given the address and a claim # and was instructed to make sure that both my wife and I attend even though only I had filled out the entry form and this should have had NOTHING to do with my wife.  When I indicated that I did not want my wife to be involved Gloria advised that if my wife did not attend the awards presentation with me then I would not qualify to win a prize (even though MY ticket was pulled and the ticked was in MY NAME ONLY).

I was asked for either a fax # or and email address so she could send me all the confirmation information.  I told her I would call her back with my email address and she said that would be OK.  After I hung up, I immediately received another phone call, this time from a company called FAITHFUL MARKETING (phone # 773-358-1470) and guess who this was ?   YEP none other than GLORIA JOHNSON.   I gave her the email address I use only for these types of solicitations and am still awaiting to receive the confirmation information.

SOUNDING EVEN MORE FISHY TO ME !!!!!

I was told to bring 2 forms of ID (not that they wanted or needed any personnal information, they just needed to verify that they were actually awarding the prize to the correct person).

SOUNDING EVEN MORE THAN FISHY TO ME !!!!

After hanging up, I immediately got on the computer to try to find out anything about a company called AB VACATIONS, and guess what, no such company, just alot of bad publicity about how much of a scam they apparently are.

I can tell you that I have no intent on attending and getting involved with something like this.

MY NEXT PHONE CALL WILL BE TO THE GURNEE POLICE DEPARTMENT !!!!!!

Guest what "little smarter than most"?  You just wrote my whole entire conversation. Were you listening in on my phone call?  :)   I also got a call from "Michelle" and when I called it back I got "Gloria".  She asked me to verify my household income and gave me a number. I told her that I NEVER fill household income in on anything and was told this time I had and I would have to verify it when I went to pick up my prize or I wouldn't be eligible to receive it. She proceeded to give me a confirmation number and address to pick it up at. It was also to be a 90 minute award presentation. Talk about FISHY!!!  The only thing that runs 90 minutes is a time share presentation, but she swore this wasn't one. That it is their grand opening for their new travel agency/company. I was also told to bring my husband and that we would have to show 2 forms of ID, 1 being a credit card, though we would be instructed to cover the numbers up and that we would be holding them up in the air for them to verify the names. I DON'T THINK SO, TIM!!!!

I also immediately went to the internet to look them up and low and behold...look what I found. Just VERIFIES my own thoughts.    SCAM!!!   When I mentioned that I was sceptical about this conversation, she told me I sure should be. What with all the scams going out in the world today. Give me a break...I wasn't born yesterday. So I allowed her to send me a fax and it came with my maiden name on it. Haven't had that last name in YEARS however according to her, I had just filled out their form in the past 12-18 months. Guess I don't know my own name.

    WATCH OUT PEOPLE!!!!!!!

Looks like this company has moved on to hosting an event in Woodbridge, VA this week.  Same exact conversation as you listed.  I was told they were AB Travel and could find nothing.  After asking for a company website I was put on hold and then given a long address that didn't exist.  Lots of red flags going up.  Of course, we won't be visiting. Thanks for all the comments and warnings.

Steve Hand is Michelle Cuccia's father.
Stephen Cuccia served time in California and had his insurance license revoked and was ordered to never work with seniors again. He moved to Oregon after his probation was over, scammed some folks there and then moved to Washington and scammed some folks there. Last I heard he was scamming folks in Idaho. Stay far away from these crooks.

wow!  got the SAME call.  Glad I came here and read all of this. So sorry for those of you whose families were scammed by these people.  Had they done this to my family, I certainly would not be sitting idle, I would be posting flyers all over town, ha ha.  Nice they can take their money that they stold and start a new life.  How can they live with their selves.  probly live like kings and playing the part.  They must be very ignortant otherwise that they cannot get REAL jobs and had to resort to theft. They need to be on a list like child molestors!!
