I got the same call and not sure how they got my number.  They gave all BULL [***] story and explain about prizes, but its all scrap... They are Cheaters... He said his name is Ray Smith and his actual name is "AKASH CHANDAN" ... He gave contact number 5082823135 and ask me to visit with family to their address in Gurnee, IL.....  When I call this number some lady answered and she said they don't know this person.... again I ask my friend to call this number back after 5 minutes and she answered very "SUSPICIOUSLY"  and sounds like some SCAM is going on .  {Please do not trap into thier call and If any one call AB PROMOTIONS... just tell them " [***] Your Self !""""

just got the same call - message was from 'Amber", but called back and got "ryan" gave me a new number with direct line to ryan... told them i couldn't get a sitter for my kid so i wasn't coming to collet.  said i had two weeks to collect me prize and to call him back at 8882800572. called him back and told him to remove me from the call list :)

Well . . . glad I looked at this.  The only reason I responded because I thought it was Menards. The only place I can remember filling something out for a vehicle drawing.  They left a message with call back number 877-845-9997 no one answered I left no message.  Then about 2 minutes later I got a call on my cell from 773-253-4645.  "Jeff" said he was away from his desk and returning my call.  Obviously as someone else here said they have caller ID.  Same speech blah, blah, blah, 1425 Tri State Parkway, Gurnee.  Interestingly to claim your prize you have to show drivers license and credit card.  Ho ho ho . . .  My top prize was an Escape hybrid. (I'm no yuppy-not all that appealing)  He said the company was AB Discount Travel.  Bet everybody wins a trip coupon and you have to give them your credit card.  Plants probably win the better prizes.  They sure do have lots of phone numbers don't they.  Is this illegal?  Should it be reported?  They told me I couldn't bring anyone with me.  What's with that?  I find it extremely creepy.

i received a message today on my cell voice mail stateing i had won one of four prizes wich include a ford escape ,25000.00 cash, atrip for 2 to orlando, las vegas or cancoon. i do at times enter sweepstakes so i thought maybe igot lucky. but obviously not! thank-you for your advice it will save time and gas money. bill campbell so he states his name also said amber was away from her phone he said i needed a i.d. with my address funny thing he had my old adress from16 months ago but had my cell num. wich is my first cell i had only have had for 3 months. so of course it does not add up and i will not be making this trip. but i sure do hope he calls me back, for i have a few choice words for him.

Got a call from this number and they left a message to call Amber back because our name was pulled last night to win a 2011 Ford SUV truck. Called back and I could be the winner of:

Problem is we never entered any contest.

a few weeks ago we got a call we won a 2011 explorer. went to gurney and listened to a 90 min presentation for a travel club. we did not buy anything but apparently won a trip. that was a company called global connections. but the trip is not free. 2 weeks later we get the same call. only this time it is a&b travel. same exact call and locatation. apparently they go under global travel also. it is a total scam. we researched them online.

got the same message  but from Amber  says they pulled my name from a drawing at a mall, store or someware. They said I won a 2011 Ford Edge but they did not ask for anyone or say a name of the person that won.

got a call today, and responded to "Amber".  Thomas said she was his secretary and doing something else. Stated they are A and B Travel, 1425 Tristate Parkway, Gurney, IL 60031.  His direct line is 888-279-4849.  Wants to set up time to meet to discuss travel/car rentals/offers.  States do not have to sign, buy orjoin anything, and that they are not a timeshare offer.  Also said everyone is guareenteed a prize-either a 2011 Fore Escape, trip for 2 incl airfare, $2,500, or 32"HDTV.  Also stated that IL laws prohibit substituting prizes, and that it is a lottery type drawing to see what prize you win.  I told him I had to call back when my hubby got home to find out what day.  Let you know if there is anymore news.

Hey Woodsdog . . .  we have have almost the SAME thing which is happening to us right now, got the call from left from "Jeff" on 08/10/11 at approx. 1:25 pm . . saying that we won "something" as - 2011 Ford Explorer Hybrid Crossover or $25,000 cash, OR, $2500.00 cash, OR a 2-3 day Vacation, OR a 32" Flat Screen TV . . . to be 2 forms of ID, one being a "major credit card" . . . um. . . anyhoo, I phoned "Jeff" today, trying to get more info out of him in regards to the company which we "won", he mearly stated that they are a vacation discount travel & we were going to be part of their "Grand Opening" . . . doesn't a "Grand Opening" happen when a company first opens?  According to the BBB, they have been around for like 40 YEARS . . . Well, Jeff B phoned Menards thinking he entered a contest with them, he actually spoke with Tom, the Manager at Menards and Tom said that he didn't recogize the information at all . . . then Jeff B phoned "Jeff" & again, "Jeff" said that we should be at the Gurnee at the 1425 Ti State Parkway at approx. 2 pm for the 90 minute ceremony & then we would go onto the "Winner's Circle" to collect our scatch off ticket to reveal "our prize" . . and that AB Promotions had already given away "2" of the 2011 Ford Explorer Hybrid Crossovers this week . . .
All I can say, is the 1st thought we both had is that "this is too good to be true" . . . & after we both spoke with "Jeff" today, I got online to look into this "BS" & thank GOD, this information is here . . . I just don't understand how they got our "yearly income" & ages to know that we quaified for this . . . Yes, a TOTAL SCAM . . . we were blind sided & we now came to our senses . . . thank you for your blog on this as it's has probably saved us more than what we know.

Steve Hand is not an aka for Stephen Cuccia!  I am the father of Michelle Cuccia -- thankfully I am NOT married to her.  Sorry for all of you that may have been scammed by Stephen & Michelle --- I too have been scammed by the two of them --- many times over.  How sad that you can't trust your own son-in-law or daughter!

My name is Steve Hand.  I am the father of Michelle Cuccia and the father-in-law of Stephen Cuccia.
When I arrived in Idaho in 2005 Stephen convinced me to open an insurance agency (Unique Insurance)  with him.  I didn't realize it at the time but the only reason he wanted me to be associated with him was because I had an insurance license and he couldn't get one.  It didn't work out, Stephen closed the office (which was in his name only) and I went on my way in a different direction.  Too late I realized I had been hood winked by my own son-in-law!  Six years later and I am still paying the price!!
My daughter and son-in-law are not honest, ethical people and have absolutely no regard for the rights of anyone else.  How sad to be totally taken advantage of by your own daughter and son-in-law.  They live in a fantasy world and have no idea what reality is.  I've been disowned  AGAIN but this time it doesn't matter because I was a little tired of all the drama that took place just being part of that family.
The only thing left to say --- I am not responsible for their actions and wrong doings!  Someone mentioned Karma -- let me tell you when Karma kicks in, Stephen & Michelle Cuccia will be in for a very rude awakening!!!
